This truly fabulous home has awesome, panoramic views of the mountains, Bali Hai and Hanalei Bay from virtually every room as well as from the private, saline swimming pool. Located on a quiet cul-de-sac, this home's peaceful and serene surroundings let you fully enjoy the sights and sounds of the ocean and Kauai's tropical birds. We have a property manager(Thames) who lives across the street who will do a meet and greet, give you tips on nearby sights and cooking as well as solve any concerns that arise. As soon as you enter, you will understand this is an unforgettable home. Magnificent views through floor-to-ceiling windows and glass doors will captivate you . . . the high ceilings add an extra dimension to the elegance of Hululani. Throughout this 4,500 square foot, two-story home are beautiful furnishings and thoughtful amenities that were carefully chosen for your comfort and convenience. Air conditioning, Mexican tile floors and clever use of marble throughout are among the numerous features that guests really appreciate at Hululani. Upscale landscape lighting allows you to enjoy the gardens well into the evening. Every room looks out at spectacular views through many huge windows. Step out to the lanai and pool area for a refreshing swim, to luxuriate in your private hot tub or simply relax in the gentle breezes coming in off the ocean. The outside shower and half-bath are a wonderful convenience when you're lounging outdoors or by the pool. The second living room, or "view room," upstairs gives you large windows at several angles from which to admire nature's splendor and is a wonderful place to watch sunset's colorful skies and enjoy each other's company. The wet bar makes it easy to prepare your favorite tropical beverage while the adjacent game area with its card table invites bridge games and other friendly competitions. On the second level are two king/master suites with private lanais. On the main level, there is another king/master suite, as well as a bedroom with 2 Queen beds, an office, and a large living/dining room that opens to a covered gourmet BBQ area outdoors. Our property has an abundance of great fruits such as papaya trees, Tahitian lime, Meyer lemon, avocado as well as oranges. Feel free to harvest the fruit before the birds consume them. Lots of flowering trees are accentuated by over 60 orchids, white, pink and red gingers as well as heliconia and sitacorams to make your own tropical arrangements. Hululani is such an excellent choice for your stay on Kauai. You may never want to leave! However, should you decide to venture out from your private paradise, there are many fine restaurants, shops and activities in the area as well as picturesque beaches and spectacular sights island-wide. To begin with, the property manager replied to all my inquiries within a business day. She was helpful, informative, and clear. Once we booked, she proactively contacted us to make sure we were on our way, and knew what to do when we arrived. Our key pick up was easy, and we found the house without problem. The next morning, we were visited by our neighbor who introduced himself as our contact if anything were to go wrong.
The house itself was lovely. Spacious and open with a variety of sitting areas. The view was spectacular, and the back yard included ripe lemons, limes and avocados for the picking. The beds were all comfortable.
If you come, you'll love the house. A car is necessary, though all the amenities of Princeville and Hanalei are close by.

This was our 2nd stay at Hululani. We usually prefer to try new places, but we loved Hululani so much our previous stay, it was our top choice for returning! The home is clean, spacious & easily fit our group with 3 en-suite bedrooms for the adults & 1 large bedroom for the kids to share. The large kitchen & BBQ area are perfect for meals at home, the house is well-stocked with everything you need. Having an extra fridge in the garage & an outdoor shower to wash off sand was SO handy!! The pool area is fantastic with stunning landscaping & gorgeous views! The upstairs lanai’s & living room have amazing sunset views! This house is a perfect home base!My only recommendation is to convert the door locks to key pads so that the need to stop by & pick up / drop off keys is eliminated.

We loved Hululani! The home was immaculate and very good kitchen. Close to Hanalei and many stores. We had plenty of room to spread out, enjoyed the pool and property. Would love to visit again! Kauai is so beautiful! Thames the property manager was very helpful and responsive. We had fun playing ping pong and Bocce Ball in the yard. House had everything for beach days!

Spent a week here with my family of 7 adults and a 2 year old. The house has everything you need along with the most incredible views of Hanalei Bay. The back yard is gorgeous and the location to Hanalei is a short 6 minute drive. Will definitely be back.,,,my family loved it and we all had plenty of space to hang out. Bedrooms were very large and spacious, beds were comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed and more. Awesome rental!

The property management group was beyond responsive and accommodating to us and the airline changing flight times for our arrival AND departure. The house was beyond the description and the grounds were exceptional. There was six of us staying there and we commented we felt we had room for double that. Fresh lemons, coconuts, avocados, papayas and oranges to pick right in the yard! The pool and hot tub were perfect and the water gardens, grounds and lawn were perfectly maintained. The "rule book" for the home is pretty detailed. You could get caught up in the details but if you basically treat the home as you would your own, all will be well. The property managers next door checked in with us, were responsive to any need and even brought us fresh avocados from their yard. The big bonus was the beach equipment of umbrellas, chairs, snorkels and wake boards all there for our use. Perfect home for us, we plan to return!

We were able to escape the dreary pacific northwest for an amazing 7 winter weeks at the Hululani. The house is incredibly spacious, clean, and well appointed. The grounds, pool, hot tub and view are equally spectacular. Great location for a family at the end of a cul-de-sac, while also being conveniently located near the Princeville shopping area. The owner was very responsive as well. Great stay!

We were able to escape the dreary pacific northwest for an amazing 7 winter weeks at the Hululani. The house is incredibly spacious, clean, and well appointed. The grounds, pool, hot tub and view are equally spectacular. Great location for a family at the end of a cul-de-sac, while also being conveniently located near the Princeville shopping area. The owner was very responsive as well. Great stay!

March 2017 Stay
Just returned less than 10 hours from Kauia and miss Hululani already. Family was attending my younger brother's wedding at the St Regis. The home was very well equipped and ample allowing for privacy; every little item we needed, it had. And I appreciated the modern fridge and the outdoor BBQ. Its truly a unique setting and I'm grateful to the Thames (prop mgr) for working with us, and for the owners for the opportunity to make our family's stay in Kauai the best experience for everyone. I only regret not using the pool more often. We are definitely looking forward to our next return.

Heaven on earth
This was the most perfect rental imaginable. The house was so spacious, gorgeous, and the views - well no words can do them justice. We had high expectations based on the pictures and in reality it far exceeded them - beyond our wildest dreams. Not sure how we could ever visit Kauai again and not stay in Hululani!!

Family Reunion
Trying to arrange a family reunion presents challenges with everyone's busy schedule. We decided everyone would enjoy a trip to Kauai. We used Hululani as the base home for our group. With 4 spectacular bedrooms, we were able to comfortably house a portion of us and the reamainder of the family members found accomodations nearby. We would have all 14 of us over for dinners and sunset cocktails around the pool with the amazing views of the ocean. The home is so spacious it also provided the opportunity for time alone in one of the many rooms. A perfect combination of time together as a large group and time alone was enjoyed by us all. The salt water pool was refreshing and therapeutic. We spent many hours playing games in the pool.
The owner was available to answer any and all questions that came up. The property was immaculate and pristine when we arrived.The location feels private and isolated, yet we were within walking distance of the St. Regis Princeville Hotel and a short drive from Hanalei Bay, arguably the most beautiful beach I have ever visited.
The photos shown on the VRBO site are beautiful, but they do not accurately reflect the beauty that is expereinced in the home and on the grounds. Being there in person far exceeded the photos shown.
We have rented homes on Kauai before and none of them are in the same league as the Hululani...a truly remarkable experience.

Hululani was the perfect choice for my group of eight. I highly recommend it when you are looking for an expansive, serene, clean, quiet, and amazing place in Princeville area. The property description and the pictures are accurate. Very easy to communicate with the property management and with the owner.

"Definitely Heavenly!"
I was filled with doubts about choosing a house online and was not sure I could trust the description and the people I was working with. I was so wrong - the house far exceeded my expectations. I am a decorator and the house could not have been more beautiful and the layout designed more perfect. The owners have done a wonderful job and spoke to us several times during our stay to make sure our needs were met. The rental company they used to handle everything for us were extremely helpful. They sent someone to meet us upon our arrival and purchased snacks for our family that we requested as we were flying in late. Although it rained most of our stay, we had an awesome time in Kauai playing games, sitting in the hot tub and swimming and having prime time with our sons and their wives. The view from this house is the best in all of Kauai - especially all the waterfalls. We would highly recommend Hululani to anyone - well worth the money.

Absolutely perfect
I can't say enough in praise of Hululani. The location of the house is spectacular, with what has to be one of the greatest views in the world, totally unobstructed. The outdoor spaces are beautiful, full of flowers and fruit trees, and you can enjoy both rainbows and sunsets from the privacy of your own lounge chair next to the pool. The house itself is large and in excellent condition. It is well-equipped with everything you will need for your vacation, with everything from beach chairs to blenders. It's location in Princeville makes it convenient to both Hanalei and Kilauea and all the beautiful beaches in the area. I highly recommend Hululani for your Kauai vacation.

Paradise Found
This property is absolutely stunning. The views are majestic, the interior is immaculate and comfortable and the location is perfect. Our family really enjoyed the beautiful pool overlooking Hanalei Bay. The living room and kitchen are very spacious and all the appliances are in excellent condition. The beds were very comfy and the decoration created a very peaceful ambiance.
The house is a short walk from the St. Regis and its lovely beach. Its also very close to Hanalei Bay and other beaches. We felt like it was in the perfect spot to explore all that Kauai had to offer.
We certainly recommend this house to everyone. Our family enjoyed it immensely.

20th Anniversary
What a way to celebrate 20 years of wedded bliss! This was the perfect setting! We especially enjoyed the private back yard, pool and hot tub. When you hang out back there, no one can see you! The views of Hanalei Bay are truly amazing. All of the amenities are easy to use and convenient. We enjoyed cooking our own meals on the top notch grill. This house is decorated and finished second to none!
If you experience one of the beautiful tropical rainstorms, make sure that you are on the Princeville side of the river, as they DO close the road as it crosses the river near Hanalei. We enjoyed many hours at the restaurant and bar in Hanalei because we were stranded by the river which was temporarily over the road! A memorable experience with a great folk musician, but a few too many cocktails as the road was closed into the late night hours!

Amazing home - perfect vacation!
We stayed in this house back in 2002, and it was amazing. When we were looking for a house again in 2005, we were so excited to find this one. And even better, there were new owners (the current owners) who had renovated much of the house. It was beautiful before the renovations, and when we returned in 2005 we were so impressed with all the improvements. It was truly amazing. We love the pool & hot tub, the kitchen is great, and the rooms are all really nice. The view from the house and yard is gorgeous. Lots of space to spread out. The lawn in the back is a great place to play. Hululani is very private and quiet. My parents, who joined us on the 2005 trip, still talk about it as their best vacation ever! We actually just booked another vacation for early 2012, and hear that they've made even MORE improvements. We can't wait to see how they could have improved upon what we thought was already incredible. The owners have been fabulous in every communication we've ever had with them (pre/post 2005 and again for our upcoming trip). Hululani is a gorgeous home that you will want to come back to again and again. We're so excited return and get to share it with our 5 year old & 2 year old along with the rest of the family.
