About this house rental
Our lakeside home sits on a hillside overlooking beautiful Tennanah Lake (largest private lake in the Catskills). We love the quiet serenity of being out in the country, while still only 10 minutes from Roscoe stores and restaurants. We enjoy the house in all 4 seasons, but our favorite season is the summer. Nights are usually cool, with ceiling fans and open windows keeping it quite comfortable. We think you'll love falling asleep with the sounds of water lapping at the dock and waking up to great sunrises. Our spring-fed lake is clear and refreshing - perfect for a summer day swim. Look for the eagles that nest across the lake.
Great fishing - Tennanah lake is stocked with bass, trout and perch. We are also minutes from world class trout fishing streams and several outfitters in Roscoe.
Our home is on a hillside, so the great views come with somewhat steep path down to the water. We have a floating dock and the water gets deep quickly. May not be suitable for families with very young children or those with physical limitations.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The location is breathtakingly beautiful and peaceful. Our host was so kind and welcoming—she went above and beyond to help us with all our questions. The house was spotless, and you can tell that everything has been thought out to the smallest detail. It truly felt like a home away from home. We can't wait to come back!

Everything was great. The location is gorgeous and the lake full of fish. The house was roomy, as described. The hosts were super responsive and helpful. Strongly recommend!

Communication was easy and very accommodating. The house was clean and bright and open. The beds are amazingly comfortable. The view of the lake spectacular. There are steep steps down to the lower deck and dock/lake but it was not an issue for us. It is a must to go down to lower deck and have a wonderful campfire in the stoned pit and then to gaze at the millions of stars! Just incredible. Bring a flashlight even though there are solar lights it gets mighty dark. The dock at the lake is great for relaxing on and the water is deep and refreshing with a ladder to use at the end. We did spot the eagles and it was a treat! There are plenty of chairs and lounge chairs too! We will surely be back!
