The location of the property is fabulous. It’s around 3K away from Aravenu, which is a sub city under Kothagiri. But that’s the advantage of this place. You don’t get the crowds and you wake up to hills of tea estates. Just a single road connecting the hostel to civilization. Special shoutout to Chirag (The Host) and Ganesh (Caretaker) for making my stay really fun. They’re welcoming and very helpful people. Do ask them for tips on exploration.
I went during the off season and had a bed in the 6-bed mixed dormitory. Luckily, I was only 1 of the 3 guests on the property so my enter dorm was to myself. However, there’s a lack of ventilation in the dorm and it might get stuffy if 6 people live together. The shower doesn’t have enough force in the water and if you’re tall (I’m astound 175cm) the shower head is too low. And the shower cubicle restricts your movement.
