About this house rental
Nestled in Lake Norman, this charming house for $337 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Enjoy the lake life and relax at Bally K, a cozy 3-bedroom cottage on a secluded 1.5-acre waterfront lot. 28 mins from downtown Charlotte, 5 mins from I-77, in the gold zone for retail and amenities. This is a low-slope lot. Everybody gets easy access to the water. No steps to climb at the dock, no steps to climb to get home. Recently renovated with a new kitchen, hardwood floors, and new furnishings. Covered and screened-in porch with dining area. Open deck with great views of the lake. 30' x 30' floating dock. Deepwater lot with 12' - 18' of water at the pier, depending on the season. (12' in winter) Covered gazebo located over the water to enjoy those lake Norman sunsets. Get unlimited use of the 4 kayaks and the 2 stand-up paddleboards, all free with rental. Launch them from the dock or from the sandy beach at the water's edge. Swim in the safe and protected private bay, no boat traffic, perfect for children of all ages. Bring your boat, put it in at Haggar creek public access. Navigate less than 1/2 a mile back to our pier, tie it up in the private boat slip. Time Warner cable with Disney, Nick, Nick Jr, Boomerang, and all of the kid channels. Play Station, Wii, with lots of games. Great place for kids to enjoy their summer vacation. Free broadband WiFi 10 min drive to Target, Best Buy, Sam's, Wall-Mart, Dick's, Belk's, and more. 10 min drive to great food or take your boat to one of the many lakefront restaurants. The house is located in a residential neighborhood. At no time are parties or events permitted on the property.

What a beautiful little getaway for our adult family of four! We spent the days after Christmas enjoying this cottage, cozy by the fire. We were welcomed with a sweet little Christmas tree and some snacks on the table... such a nice touch. The cottage has everything you will need to stay in and cook but is also convenient to downtown Mooresville and some delicious restaurant options. We spent one afternoon having a family field day in the beautiful yard, playing yard games and warming up by the bonfire between. We also enjoyed board games inside in the evening after grilling steaks on the grill. My favorite was watching the sunset on the end of the dock, bundled up in the Adirondack. Thank you for sharing your perfect little cottage. We really felt like we got away from the hustle of the holidays!

If you are searching for a relaxing, clean and a lake view cottage, this is it! We loved our stay and we will definitely be back to make more amazing memories. My wife and I had a wonderful 4 night stay at the Bally K Cottage in late October. Pictures are a poor substitute for the scenes you will enjoy here. The house may appear small compared to the neighbors, but as you walk through the door it transforms before your eyes!
The vaulted ceiling immediately lends copious space to this delightfully decorated, cozy dwelling. We loved the modern kitchen and the bathroom accent lighting adds so much to the rain-shower experience. Every room has a smartTV which is a nice touch since streaming applications are more and more commonplace. And if pictures dont do justice to the view of the lake through the giant window panes lining the front of the house, then my words will fall even shorter. The screened in porch is a perfect spot to watch the sun rise with your morning coffee before grabbing a life jacket and exploring the lake on the included kayaks.
When it comes to sunsets, its hard to beat the view from the gazebo on the dock. I spent each night enjoying the serene stillness of the lake, broken up only by the occasional freindly boater passing by, with a cigar in hand as the sun disappeared. We couldnt have asked for anything more.
My only hesitation for writing this review is that I dont want too many people to discover this hidden gem, because I want it to be available for me to rent the next time we can travel to Lake Norman!

I booked this place on a whim thinking it looked solid, in the area I was looking for. Solid couldn’t have been more of a understatement. This place is excellent. Private, clean, top tier facilities, activities, relaxed.
The dock is an awesome place to hang out. The house seems freshly renovated. I’m a general contractor myself and couldn’t even find a small detail to nitpick. The shower/bathroom is awesome - featuring a handheld, standard head, or a rainfall with great lighting & water pressure. I’ve stayed in 5 star hotels with inferior bathrooms to this one. We were blown away.
Screen porch to relax on. Great kitchen for cooking. The flooring is great and clean. The layout of the entire property is suited to spending time with your group.
There are kayak’s and paddle boards on site with life jackets. We took a trip about a mile through the cove to a small island to explore. The house is located in a portion of the lake that really doesn’t have a ton of boat activity, which was great.
The hosts couldn’t have been better. We didn’t even need to have any communication but they were available if needed. Easy check in, easy check out. We were greeted with cupcakes for our group.
I’ve done my fair share of traveling, stayed in plenty of places. This place is 5 star across the board. My entire group agreed. If I find myself in North Carolina again, I’ll certainly be trying to book this place. This place was a steal for the price, frankly.

The place was lovely; simple and calm; the view spectacular; the thoughtfulness of the hosts to provide treats and flowers and the ease of not having to deal with bedding and towels made the stay so easy. Having the water toys (kayaks, paddle boards, large float, big ball) available made it extra fun! Thank you for a lovely stay!

These folks know what being a host is all about and they strive to be the perfect host. They take of their property and go to extremes to welcome you so you can enjoy your time. Everything you need is there from kitchen appliances, to the paper towels. All of us were impressed and thankful for their extra effort for us to enjoy. WE DID enjoy our stay.

The house was just as advertised. The hosts were very quick with a response to any questions or concerns. Our kids loved the easy access to the lake to swim kayak and paddle board. Our family can't say enough about the Bally K House. We will definitely return!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at your cottage. You have a great set up and location. Enjoyed all the amenities and really appreciate all the extras you left for us. We have spent a vacation in Ireland so loved all the little nods to the Emerald Isle. Especially the sheep! This was our first time in the area and on Lake Norman. Thanks for a great first impression!

The house itself was immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. Every detail had been carefully considered, ensuring a comfortable and memorable stay. The amenities provided were top-notch, from the well-equipped kitchen to the cozy bedrooms and plush lounging area. The covered screen porch was another wonderful added bonus.

Adorable cottage, cute decor, very well stocked, beautiful setting! I asked Tim if they by chance had a portacrib and high chair. He said he’d see what he could do. I think he actually went out and bought brand new! How accommodating is that?! Also, we were welcomed with flowers, fruit and chocolates. Attention to every detail was so appreciated and we had a wonderful stay! Thank you Bally K!

My family visited Bally K the week after Christmas and could not have asked for a more cozy place to stay for the New Year’s holiday.
Aside from the beautiful view, the house was clean, well stocked with all the kitchen, laundry and bathroom essentials and decorated beautifully.
It felt like a home away from home.
We will 100% recommend to friends and family and will book again!

My family fell in love with the beautiful view from the cozy screened in porch. We were even lucky enough to see a double rainbow end in the lake.
Each room was decorated with such detail from lake theme to the beautiful Irish theme. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could need to prepare a family meal. The beds were comfortable and I loved the way they were made up. And I have to say we all LOVED the shower. It was perfect!!
We spent most of our days hanging at the dock swimming, fishing and kayaking. The private cove was the perfect setting. We especially enjoyed hanging out at the gazebo with the sitting area.

We just love everything about this property. It's well-maintained, comfortable, up to date. The location is near everything and yet feels secluded. We enjoyed the kayaks, SUP boards, beach & gazebo. The owner's have thought of everything & we will be back!

My wife and I and 2 teen sons had a wonderful time. Modernized home with huge screened in porch and huge deck was so comfortable. Dock and beach area with standing boards and kayaks were used each day. So relaxing. The views were great and loved the privacy of the cove yet open water view from dock. Loved it. Will come again.

The screen porch was perfect for lunch, dinner and hanging out. The view from the house and firepit was amazing, wish we had that view every day. We enjoyed the firepit most nights and even got to watch some of the full moon rise (through some clouds). The dock was great for our boat. The cove was perfect for paddleboarding, kayaking and just floating in the water. Tim was very responsive to any questions. We hope to come back next year!

Wonderful week in Lake Norman
We had a wonderful week at Tim’s home on Lake Norman. All the details were well thought out and Tim rescued us when we ran out of gas for our wave runner. The neighbors were so friendly and the location was perfect for all of our needs. We would happily stay in the future and highly recommend.
