Central Bar Guesthouse

The bar downstairs is typical of a well used Irish pub, full of locals, well worn, 'lived in', but the usual friendly welcome - when we were led towards our room via the back of the bar there was a 'not sure about this!' moment but once upstairs the contrast was quite remarkable! Our room was clean, fresh, with modern decor and absolutey immaculate - spacious, finished with obvious care and attention to detail throughout and to a very high standard - very immpressive! Although facing directly onto the street at the front a closed window eliminated traffic noise almost completely, the bathroom window on the back providing ample fresh air. Ate at Harry's Place just around the corner, which appeared to be the only place to eat that was open on a Sunday night, but no problem securing a table and a quality dining experience. First night of our Northern Ireland visit and very happy with our choice - next time we're in NI we'll be back!

Parking is across the street in a free public car park - a slight concern for our motorcycle and a little way to carry luggage but no real issue, we were fine, but the steep flights of stairs to access the rooms might be a challenge for some. Breakfast is via vouchers with a choice of two different venues, both just around the corner - not ideal if it were raining but we got lucky!

The Central Bar & Guest rooms is in a great location and we had no problem parking. The room was comfortable, spotless and quiet. It has free wifi, satellite tv, and good tea/coffee facilities. Claire is the manager. She is really lovely and made us feel so welcome. Breakfast was delicious in Cafe Cova. We will definitely return and highly recommend a stay.

Great location, beautiful room and fantastic breakfast.

Nothing, everything was perfect.

Excellent location in a cute village. Harry’s restaurant was delicious. Bakery was so good! Clare was terrific. Bar was lively & Guiness was fresh. Band was not too loud. We loved our Breakfast at Cafe Cova & Connie was very nice. Excellent food.

A little noisy due to the road but it quieted down after 12 midnight on a Saturday night.
