About this house rental

Located in Suquamish, this attractive house for $458 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. True Pacific Northwest, Island-living at its finest. This beautifully maintained 3 Bdrm home is located on 150' of sandy, no-bank beach on Puget Sound. Often referred to as the best beach on Bainbridge Island, the property boasts a sunrise to sunset western exposure for maximizing the many opportunities for outdoor activities: beachcombing and sandcastle construction, splashing in waves or swimming, picnicking on the green lawns, walking on miles of beach, and more. Wildlife viewing is a fine sport here: blue herons perch on their spindly legs early in early morning and late in the day; sea otters and bald eagles are not uncommon, either. Tall Douglas Fir border the back of the deep lot while azaleas and rhododendrons flourish throughout the property. On the first (ground) floor, the kitchen with its informal dining area and adjoining family room, the master bedroom, and small den with gas fireplace all share a view of Puget Sound. On the right evening, the moon shines from low on the horizon down Agate Pass, creating a bright swath of light across the kitchen. The family room has a television and a classic stone fireplace. Firewood is provided. The master bedroom boasts a king-sized bed, television and a seating area well-suited to enjoying both the sea-view and your morning coffee. Its adjoining bathroom has a roomy tub, separate shower, and a spacious walk-in closet. The remaining rooms on this level include a formal dining room, living room, mud room with washer-dryer and a powder room. Outside, a two-sided covered deck provides a lovely vantage point from which to enjoy an evening libation while watching a flurry of activity on the waterfront as boaters make their way to port. The upstairs enjoys the same views but with the higher perspective, it's all the more spectacular. The two bedroom both have two twin-size beds. You'll find plenty of room to accomodate a roll-away bed, futon or the like, which can be readily provided with sufficient notice. The bedrooms share a bathroom with shower/tub and access to the rec room and its 51' screen t.v. This home is located about 6 miles north of the city of Winslow. Daily, frequent service on the Washington State Ferry System runs between Winslow and downtown Seattle. Winslow has a small-town atmosphere yet all the basic needs can be found here, including a fine selection of groceries, assorted retail and notable restaurants. There is a public 9 hole golf course on the Island and tennis courts. Additionally, wiithin an hour's drive off-island there are a half-dozen first class, 18 hole golf courses. At least one private club on Bainbridge Island accepts short term memberships for those who care to use their tennis and exercise facilities. Bainbridge is also blessed with several fine parks including the popular 'Grand Forest' for scenic walks. 'The Bloedel Reserve' is a private estate with beautifully maintained gardens that are open to public viewing. At the north end of Bainbridge runs the Agate Pass Bridge, connecting the island to Suquamish and Poulsbo, a popular destination by land and by sea which has perpetuated its Scandinavian heritage. Further beyond, Port Angeles is located at the entrance to the Olympic Peninsula. The National Park is a 2 1/2 hour drive from the rental property. Lovely Victoria, British Columbia is an hour away by ferry. Keywords: Fifth summer offered as summer rental. This is a spectacular waterfront property with a walkable beach and 180 degree view of Agate Pass. The house is very welcoming and comfortable, and the well-maintained garden was in bloom during our stay. Dave is a very thoughtful host and even let us park in his garage which includes a 240V connection for an electric car. This was our second stay, and we are looking forward to returning again in the future.

David's home is beautiful, well-kept, and in a location that can't be beat. We woke up to the barking of sea lions rafting outside our bedroom window and saw all manner of seabirds. It's an iconic property on Agate Passage. Magical!

The setting is beyond gorgeous, if you like happen to like beach, forest and calm. The photos do not do the house itself justice. It is a spacious, lovely, thoughtfully-appointed beach home.

We did Thanksgiving at the property and had a wonderful experience. The house was clean and very charming. Lots of windows open up to Agate Pass where we saw lots of birds, ducks, and even some seals. The private beach is really fun too with loads of shells to pick through. We’ll be coming back in the future for sure.
