So lucky to get a chance to stay here. The booking and all communication was great. We live in the city, so there is a lot of artificial light that you just can not escape. We were able to go out at night and see every star in the sky, and it was absolutely amazing.
Very quiet place in November. We would love to experience the summer now.

Another reviewer said the pictures don't do this property justice and I couldn't agree more! It's rustic with no running water, but the interior still provides plenty of space for comfort, with a couch, two chairs, two indoor tables and chairs, and outdoor chairs and a bench by the water as well. The view is the best part. We got there in the evening and woke up to the sun rising and were blown away by the beauty. We slept on the screened in porch and highly recommend that if weather appropriate. The port-a-potty was also very clean. The only thing I'd warn is Google Maps was trying to give us odd directions...just turn right on Lois Lane and go straight and follow down the private drive - it felt like maybe we were on a road we shouldn't be on, no signage for the address, but soon enough there was the port-a-potty and the U-turn at the end of the drive and you know you're there.

It was beyond beautiful. Very close to Acadia National Park, and the night sky here is a must-see. Low light pollution made for stargazing and views that are impossible to come by in the city. 10/10 would recommend

Imagine a beautiful log cabin that you reach after a 5 mile ride with breathtaking views and plentiful wildlife sightings That is only part of the charm of this destination. The home is perfectly outfitted and the Bear Creek provides background music. I booked the cabin when the government shutdown was looming and I didn’t want to be caught without lodging for our Yellowstone trip. What a piece of luck to find this piece of heaven in Montana!

I stayed here with just me and my pup and it was so much fun!

We loved the cabin. It was exactly as described! Easy check-in/out and location was perfect.

Host and property are wonderful. It was perfect for us. Fishing, canoeing, paddle boarding, swimming In the lake. Evenings by the wood stove, day hikes in Acadia. We completely enjoyed ourselves!

We loved our experience. We had a beautiful time.
We are all grateful for our quiet time relaxing and tuning in to nature. We enjoyed the paddle boards, the dock, the deck, the screened in porch, the views, the quietude, and the wood burning stove. We brought blow up beds, bedding, all kitchen stuff, water for drinking and water for cleaning dishes etc.. Well worth it!
We bought some groceries at Youngs Market 2 miles away and brought lots of wood.
We loved the lake, as well as visiting Schoodic Point, (25 minutes away) Bar Harbor (45 minutes away) and Otter Creek (1 hr away).
The first night was very warm, wood stove was a little cool on one side of the cabin when it dipped to 50 degrees outside. Next time I will bring more than a couple light blankets. Perhaps sleeping bags. We were glad we drove a 4 wheel drive on that lovely hilly dirt road, and were happy to arrive in the daylight.
So grateful for such a lovely stay.

Awesome location

Rustic but had everything inside needed. Some outdoor equipment compromised some things have been stolen by a previous guest. Due to that the first night we were unable to use the pond.

The cabin is clean and comfortable. We love the location on Jones Pond. Lots of great options for activities both on the property and locally. Pleasantly surprised with the proximity to Acadia. Would consider booking again!

We unplugged, biked, hiked, kayaked, and paddle boarded our way through a great getaway. Close to supplies and things to see and do, the long driveway and cabin location made us feel blissfully isolated from the typically crowded and busy summer traffic. The cabin was the right fit for us and would be for anyone who appreciates a rustic setting… and by rustic I mean happy stoking a fire in a cast iron stove to take the damp away from the rain or being away from a tv. We set up cots rather than use the loft, and let the sounds of loons on the lake send us to sleep and wake us up the next morning.

Despite the rain we had a great time staying here. Cute place and loved being on the water.

Cabin was as advertised, very secluded and peaceful.
Just enough furniture and happy to find a cooking pot since we forgot our at home. The view and pond are amazing!

Great place to use as a base for a few days while exploring Acadia with the family. Very close to the Scoodic side and away from the crowds on Mt Desert Island. Everything was very clean and just as described. Thanks for making this available.

The camp was the perfect blend of rustic and convenience - camping but not. It was awesome to have a fridge and small electric stove instead of relying on ice and a cook fire. The woodstove was excellent and took the chill off of a couple evenings and mornings. We brought our camping gear for cooking which was essential, and highly recommend bringing some stove wood.
The view down the pond was spectacular, plenty of privacy, and the dock made it convenient for our canoe. Sitting waterside, it felt like you were on a more remote pond.
There was more boat (and float plane) traffic than we are used to, but it was not excessive. And we were able to take a ride around the Schoodic Peninsula and eat Mexican take out one night.
Highly recommend!

Everything you want for a cabin in the woods in ME. Great access to Acadia (we recommend schoodic point!) and surrounding area. We stayed in April so it got pretty chilly at night, but the wood heater kept us very warm. Beautiful, peaceful stay!

Way better than I was expecting, and I was already expecting it to be pretty good! It’s a cabin on a lake, what more could you want? Fire pit, screened in porch, privacy, electricity, wood stove, couch. This cabin has it. Although running water would be cool, but we didn’t expect there to be anyway. Jones pond makes a great water source.
We brought a little firewood, but there was already a bunch of firewood there (as well as an axe), so we just added to the pile.

Beautiful private spot on Jones Pond. The pictures of the cabin don’t do it justice. There is a couch, a couple of seating areas and refrigerator. Also a mighty little wood stove. The Porto -potty was clean and welcomed. We took day trips to Schoodic and Quoddy Head/Lubec. Would love to come back in the summer.

The stay was great, the cabin in the pond is very peaceful! The host, Sara, was very responsive and helpful. Would recommend for a trip away in a quiet atmosphere!

We had just camped for a week and stayed in the cabin for four nights. It was convenient that we had all our camping stuff available. The weather was great and the wood stove came in handy during some cool nights. Got to explore nearby trails, seafood, and did a pleasant tour of the lake, which was very quiet the first week of October. Saw a bald eagle just standing on the shore! The location of the cabin is very convenient for hopping onto Route 1 for day trips.

This is a peaceful place to watch time go by and recharge. Pro tip; you can fill water bottles at Frazer Point in Acadia Park Schoodic.

This charming cabin on the pond is everything you’re looking for if you love the outdoors, camping, and nature. I have so much positive to say about this location. The neighboring towns; winter harbor and bar harbor are both fantastic and close! Acadia national park is right out of the drive way and there is so much to do outdoors.
Enjoying a kayaking session early in the morning and having a relaxing fire watching the sunset was amazing!
Things I wish I knew upon booking;
1.) don’t arrive after dark if possible, the driveway is long into the woods and you have to walk a few feet into the woods to get into the cabin. (Nothing bad about it but being unfamiliar with the area made this quite a spooky task!)
2.) the driveway is super long and not paved. If your car struggles with some terrains, being aware of the driveway is a must know. There is a spot in the driveway where it’s very sanding and uneven, so it is easy to lose traction if going too slow.
3.) No curtains, now this wasn’t a big deal at all but something I didn’t even think about! During the evening and morning its luxurious to watch the sunset and sunrise. When it comes to privacy for ex. while changing , it definitely have a vulnerable feel.
4.) If you are planning to bring a blowup mattress for the loft I would recommend bringing one that isn’t too tall. The banister is perfect unless you have a tall blowup mattress. We made it work, but figured I would share!
I would definitely stay here again, it provided the sense of camping I was looking for but still gave us a wonderful experience. I loved everything about this property, area, and experience!! 10/10 ❤️

My husband, our dog and I had a blast! The property manager Sara was very responsive. The cabin was clean and had a lot of cool features like they had a fishing pole, fridge, stove and sink (but no running water), a clothes line, and even water equipment. We booked 2 nights but was not enough time to fully experience the area and we didn't have enough time to utilize the water toys! Market is not too far, so picking up supplies and food was a breeze. Drive to Acadia National Park was about 45 mins. My husband loved it so much he already wants to drive back up next month (we live an 8 hour drive away)!!!! The only thing that was rough was the drive down the very long driveway. It's not paved and the terrain was a little rough for us since we drove up in a regular size sedan car with only 2 wheel drive... but it was very adventurous!!! 10/10 rating! Definitely recommend! Ps... we brought an inflatable mattress and it was heaven.

A wonderful stay! Our family enjoyed mornings on the pond, including paddle boarding out to catch a beautiful sunrise, and then ventured out to explore all Acadia has to offer. We will cherish memories from this trip for the rest of our lives. Thank you!!

We had a blast here!!! The only small issue we had was the person before us didn't follow the basic rules for cleaning up before you leave. Hope to stay again someday!

It was exactly what we were hoping for! Neat, little secluded cabin along the pond. There is other houses along the lake you can see from the dock but up at the cabin your surrounded by woods! Great bass fishing in the pond as well!

For my partner, myself, and our dog Balto this is our 3rd year staying in this cabin on Jones Pond. We absolutely love this spot. We love being lakeside on such a beautiful spot. Took the kayak's out and paddle board to explore the pond. It is a short drive to Acadia and the Schoodic Peninsula has so many fun trails/hikes to go on. Sarah is such a great host for keeping the property looking great and has communicated seamlessly. Very much would recommend staying here

This was my second time staying here. First was with a best friend (we stumbled upon the listing), second time with my husband. During my first stay, it was an instant book again. If you are looking to slow down and soak up your surroundings, this is the place for you. From the lake access to the cabin, everything about this stay is peaceful and accommodating for short or longer term getaway. My husband and I brought our boat and docked right at the cabin. Just simple enough but has some creature comfort features. Trying out the paddle boards was a plus too. Suits all needs. It’s a little rustic gem. Will be coming back.
Note, the screened in porch was open in a couple of spots upon arrival. We were able to pin back the screen with tacks to close up. We also brought in our own wood (for outside fire pit) and left a bunch. My husband and I didn’t use the wood stove during our stay but my friend and I did the first time around and it was absolutely cozy.

Can’t wait to go back. More than expected amd a very responsive hostess. Just an fyi, if bringing wood for wood stove need shorter lengths. It is a short stove and regular size wood doesn’t fit in it. Great trails locally and a beautiful pond. Looking forward to fishing, kayaking and swimming on our next visit!

Just like a cabin.

The cabin felt surprisingly spacious. It was a very upgraded version of a survival trip with having an outhouse, using the provided ax to get the firewood smaller for the indoor stove. There where plenty of fishing rods and supplies, a kayak and 2 stand up boards. The lake is perfect to even let your kids try out all those things safely. All of us loved it so much, we skipped a few days of going to Acadia national park and just enjoyed this peaceful little paradise! It's so secluded, you hardly see another soul there. If it would be just closer to our home we would ALL love to come back frequently! I already recommended it to friends.

This cabin is set in as beautiful area that’s is scenic and peaceful. I would recommend having a vehicle capable of a steep dirt road. Be mindful that there is no lock on the cabin.
