About this house rental
Nestled in Lake George, this attractive house for $358 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. 'That Red House' is a custom built, lakeside home. The house design is eclectic and unique with both modern and Adirondack decor. The Great room is open and airy with a cathedral ceiling, surrounded by numerous windows with an unobstructed view of Black Mountain to the south. Teak wood and tile floors run throughout the house. The gourmet kitchen, fully stocked with a wide variety of cooking implements, dishes, and cookware for any meal, is adjacent to the Great Room; the cook is never left out of the action! Nearby is a wet bar, dining area and powder room. There is a 15' X 20' deck, accessed from the Great Room and master bedroom, which is perfect for simply relaxing or enjoying a meal with views of beautiful Lake George just 75' away. As well, there is a covered Adirondack porch, 7' X 16', which offers privacy and a spectacular view of the lake to the south. The Master bedroom/bath is on the main floor which features a large tile shower, washer/dryer and an over sized sliding glass door to the deck. The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms, both with a view of the lake, are located on the lower level along with a triple bunk bed and a second full bath. A french glass door provides access to the lower (covered) sitting area complete with Adirondack chairs, a fire pit, patio and a breathtaking view of the lake. We are part of an association which boasts a large, deep water U-shaped dock and well sized sundeck complete with colorful ADK chairs. There is a slip available for a boat up to 22 feet in length at the association dock. As well, I have 6 kayaks for our guests to use along with paddles and life preservers. Swimming off the deep water dock is a breeze due to two sturdy ladders making it easy to get in and out of beautiful Lake George. Guests with small children may wish to visit the town beach. Gull Bay town beach is an easy five minute drive from the house and is located in Gull Bay. It is a clean and quiet sandy beach that slopes gently into the water. This is a beautiful house with stunning views (and access) to Lake George.
Our family was there for Thanksgiving - we had a beautiful snow - cold crisp temperatures - just perfect for our fall family gathering. The kitchen is beautifully appointed with high end appliances and cookware.

My sister and my 3 adult children stayed a long weekend at That Red House and we had a beautiful fall weekend.
The house is gorgeous. Pictures DO NOT do it justice.
The view is breathtaking. Not exaggerating either.
The house decor was also perfect. Rustic but not too rustic. It’s eclectic and whimsical with so many interesting pieces of art, photos, paintings, antiques. I feel like every time I turned around I saw something new!
Kitchen was great, high end appliances, dishes, flatware, glasses, cook wear and kitchen tools. They had everything we needed.
The bedrooms were cozy and the beds were comfy.
The outdoor fire pit and the sun deck were great to enjoy some beautiful fall weather.
Marta is a gracious host and her communication before and during our stay was excellent.
I can tell you this, if you decide to book a stay, you will not be disappointed.

Fabulous house with space for everyone. Views of the mountains and lake from the huge windows in the house. Three decks to enjoy a cup of coffee by yourself in the morning to a deck to have dinner while watching the sunset.
Great equipped kitchen to cook all your meals. Enjoyed the fire pit with Adirondack chairs and s’mores. The shared deck over the dock was a great place to watch the stars at night!

This tastefully decorated Adirondack lake house provides stunning views and water access for those who love getting away from it all. The house boasts all the comforts of home, with a fully stocked kitchen, comfortable and quiet sleeping areas, outside dining with a view, a dock to swim off, kayaks, SUP board, nearby hiking trails… lots of games, dvds and WiFi if you need it.

The Red House could be described as a five star hotel. The house was absolutely gorgeous… spacious, immaculately clean, beautiful views…with every thing you could possibly need. The weather situation while we were there was not the best, but it didn’t matter because the comfort of the home was perfect. We have already booked a longer stay for next summer.

Good for older kids
Spectacular home, clean, gorgeous finishings, million dollar view. This home is off the beaten path and situated on a steep rocky cliff. There is no yard area or beach area for kids on the premises. There is a dock you have access to, but not a suitable area for “hanging out” with kids. Basically, if you have active young children, this is not the ideal place. Great for older kids, couples etc.

Amazing Vacation at The Red House on Lake George
For our family summer vacation this year, we stayed at Marta’s Red House on Lake George NY June 19-26, 2022. The lake house is superbly designed, decorated and well stocked with all the necessities. The views of Lake George are spectacular. We Spent most of our time down at the dock kayaking, swimming, fishing and relaxing. The water is pristine there. Even our two dogs enjoyed their stay. So much wildlife to behold. Thank you Marta for sharing your house with us! We will be back again! Sincerely, The Marters and co.

Notes scattered around the house gave instructions for everything from how to use the woodstove (we didn't need it) to reminders to enjoy "the oasis within the oasis" (aka the master bedroom). The kitchen is complete with everything needed for serious cooks (we brought 2!), and the firepit was a perfect way to end each day. I think the only hardship was a lack of cell reception (might have been a blessing in disguise), but I blame Verizon for that. We relied on my daughter-in-law's AT&T issue phone instead. We would definitely return.

The perfect getaway
Marta’s beautiful Red House is the exact location for a fantastic getaway. The house is gorgeous and extremely clean. The lake is stunning and the surroundings are just exquisite.
Marta has EVERYTHING you need at the house! But make sure to stock up on groceries because the nearest store is a bit of a drive!

Marta’s property is beyond amazing. It has stunning views, thoughtful decor and is meticulously clean. We had the most amazing time with our four teenagers doing absolutely nothing. The kayaks are accessible, the games and DVD collection are fun in the kitchen is to die for. We would stay there in a second again. Thank you so much Marta!

Beautiful!
We were looking to go “off the grid” for a long weekend getaway and this was the absolute perfect place to do so! The house and views are perfect! Marta has literally everything you need in the kitchen to prepare meals and I love all the personal touches throughout the home. The bathrooms were clean and the beds were comfy. We enjoyed our mornings sipping coffee on the upstairs deck looking over the lake, our afternoon hiking, and our evenings watching the sunset over the mountains by the fire pit. We loved how secluded we were and was the perfect place to relax for a few days. Marta was an AMAZING HOST!! I love her notes through the home which make finding everything a breeze and when communicating she would respond very quickly! She also left us a bottle of Prosecco (our fav!) We would absolutely stay here again!!
