About this house rental
Situated in North Lawrence, this attractive house for $428 per night is a great option for your next vacation. We crossed this summit property in '99. Its magnificent views and energy kept our family rooted here for 20 years. Now, two decades later, we open this one-of-a-kind experience--the Jägerhaus--to the world. The views run deep into the Black Hills over a wide meadow and beneath big skies. The hot tub shares these views, and we keep the water crystal clear. Gather around the bonfire pit, the gas fire pit, or the fireplace. The kitchen is truly "stocked." As for the house, it's a 3200 square foot build with a quaint feel and charming decor. The common spaces are large and open indoor and outdoor, promising to keep your party feeling connected. The private spaces are tastefully furnished. We don't skimp; we don't cut corners. Welcome to the Jägerhaus.

We had a wonderful time in the Hills staying at this house situated on gorgeous land. We enjoyed the hot tub. The customer service was top notch and everything was clean and comfortable. Would love to stay here again sometime.

Overall the stay was good! Not too far from all the main sight seeing places, good for the whole family. Only bad things were the a lack of communication with the owner, a couple valuables left behind, one of the main doors was left unlocked rather than giving us a code. Once we got ahold of the manager, all was well. I do reccomend staying here with family.

The house felt like home. It was very relaxing and we shared many laughs. We have never done anything like this before and we can not wait to do it again. Thank you for sharing it with us and sharing the history of the place in your book.

Our family had a great time at this house. The view off the back deck is gorgeous, the house was comfortable and spacious, the kitchen was well-stocked, and everything was clean. We made some memories teaching our kids how to play pool (and poker) and just hanging out together.

The listing location is deceiving, viewing the page you think you are a close drive to deadwood when in reality you are a half hour drive away through the hills. Once you get there the house is great, perfect for friends and family. There is no cellphone service at the house and I was pretty sure the listing included WiFi but there is no WiFi at the house. The WiFi was an issue for our group because we had planned to get a shuttle service to bring us to and from deadwood but with no cell service and no WiFi it was impossible to find a ride.

Our family had a great time at this house. The view off the back deck is gorgeous, the house was comfortable and spacious, the kitchen was well-stocked, and everything was clean. We made some memories teaching our kids how to play pool (and poker) and just hanging out together.

Great house - stunning views
Overall we had a wonderful time at the Jagerhaus in Spearfish, SD. The setting was beautiful, and the house was easy to find but yet secluded. The house was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. We had two concerns -- first, there was no wi-fi, which is understandable but it would be nice if that information was included in the listing, but also there was little or no cell phone signal at the location. This made it difficult to communicate with the owner and to contact each other to coordinate events. It also seemed a little dangerous to not have at least a landline for us to use in case of emergency. Second, the listing says the house sleeps 14 -- but a count of the beds and bedrooms, assuming the king bed could sleep 3, at most the house sleeps 11. There is a couch in the living room, but it isn't a sofa bed. An updating of the listing with this information would be helpful to potential renters. Otherwise, we had a great time at this rental!

We had a wonderful time and this property offers so much in location. Secluded and not far from town. Outside of the busy tourist locations, but within reach. We loved the hot tub, pool table, and bikes. Great memories!

Long weekend getaway
We went to the Black Hills for a 4 day weekend. We snowmobiled, skied, and went gambling in Deadwood. The house was awesome and had everything we needed. ! The hot tub felt great with the temperature being -11 degrees. The kids enjoyed playing pool and other games. We will definitely be back someday.

Amazing getaway in South Dakota
I've stayed at many VRBO's over the years and this was hands down the nicest I've stayed at. Everything was so clean and the place is even prettier than the pictures. If you are looking for a place away from the crowds and surrounded by nature, then this is the place for you. I was reunited with my family for the first time this year (due to Covid) so I am very grateful to have found such a perfect place that was comfortable for everyone (ages 3 through 60). Thank you for the accomodations and we hope to visit again in the future!

Perfect quiet vacation home

Spearfish vacation
My family had a wonderful time on our vacation, and staying at this beautiful home is a major reason it was so special. The view from the deck is stunning, and we had plenty of room to stretch out and relax. We spent the evenings in shooting pool, playing cards and working on puzzles - and reconnecting with each other. Deborah was a most gracious host. I can not recommend this home highly enough.

Very great place for the whole family. Beautiful location and home is well updated and maintained. Only downfall is no internet and really poor cell service, which we weren’t expecting, but would be great if you wanted a quiet getaway!

Wedding get away🎉🎉
Our niece got married in Spearfish on Good Friday so we rented the house for 3 nights and enjoyed relaxing time with our families. The house was AWESOME and we totally enjoyed the peacefulness and visiting on the deck. We went for a family hike Friday morning before the wedding. The house was VERY clean and well equipped with everything we needed. We would definitely rent this house again👍�

Beyond what we expected!
This beautiful home is surrounded by the gorgeous mountains, animals, and vegetation of South Dakota. Upon entering the home, you can see that the property is very well maintained and has the true feeling of home. In the yard, there is a large fire pit ready to go, a hanging swing below the spacious upper deck, and a crystal clear hot tub that is clean, new, and very inviting. The common living area is an open floor plan that has the hard wood kitchen floor and the carpet living area with another fireplace. All bedrooms are very clean and ready for a relaxing visit. The lower level is a walkout leading to the lower deck that has yet another electric fire pit and hot tub access.
The owners stopped by a few times to insure we had what we needed. They were very friendly and easy to work with.

We loved our stay at this beautiful house that backs to acres of quiet forest. Everything was very clean, comfortable, and nice, with a large updated kitchen and many extra amenities for guests. The outdoor hot tub and fire pit area were a wonderful way to end a day spent hiking or traveling around the Black Hills. My husband also met the owner and said he is really nice. Thanks for sharing this place with renters - we hope to return someday!
