Rustic Family-Friendly Cabin on Sebago Lake - Private Sandy Beach
About this cabin rental
Located in Frye Island, this attractive cabin for $457 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Experience summer the way it should be. Come stay in a more than 100 year old rustic cabin which sleeps 10. It’s located directly across from Frye Island on Sebago Lake. Relax and play on the private sandy beach by day, lay in the hammock in the afternoon then sit around the fire pit to watch the sunset from an elevated 270 degree view of the lake. In August, you can pick wild blueberries from our peninsula which includes 416 of water frontage and two acres of property. This property is at the end of the Raymond Cape off of a private road so if rest and privacy is what you want it doesn’t get any more peaceful than this. The main cabin has four bedrooms. Two bedrooms have one double bed each. Another bedroom has one queen bed. And the fourth bedroom has a bunk bed with a double bed on the bottom and a twin on the top. There is one bathroom, a washer and dryer, a television with a DVD player, and wifi. Over the new construction garage there is a bonus room with 1 queen bed, 1 king bed, a crib and A/C. With so much to do in the area keeping busy and having fun will not be hard to do! You could take a short canoe trip to Frye's Leap or to Frye Island where you can eat at the restaurant, have an ice cream cone, or take in 9 holes of golf. There is also great fishing on the lake. The property has a permanent dock and mooring for a boat and a floating dock to swim to and play on. The private beach is perfect for the little ones to build sand castles or for anyone to relax in the sun. There is also a large canoe and 2 kayaks. You are about 10-15 minutes from restaurants and ice cream shops and 30 miles to downtown Portland and the airport. Dogs are welcome in the main house. But we do charge a pet fee. $50 per dog. Beautiful spot, we went over the Fry Island in the mornings on the boat to the cute market/restaurant. Love the big living room area and all the windows overlooking the lake. Also great spot for the fire pit, plenty of chairs. Thank you...hard to leave this morning

House was comfortable with everything that was needed for a great stay. Private sandy beach and dock was perfect.

They say the number one thing in real estate is location, location, location. This cabin has that covered 100%. With its own small sandy beach, kyacks, a canoe, and a small dock on Sebago Lake just a few steps from the front door, this is the place to go if you like quiet lake life. That's what we wanted, and that's what we got. Our family spent a lot of time paddling around, including a trip across to Frye Island for lunch. Why pay for the ferry when you can use the canoe? My wife even went swimming in the still-warm-enough water. in mid-September.
The cabin is rustic, no doubt. It is old and a little crooked. But it is also comfortable, a place where you can just relax. Sit outside. Enjoy a fire. Read a book. Cook a meal if you want. Just breathe. It's that kind of place.
If you want a short getaway where you can reconnect with family, it's a great choice. You will not come home raving about the building. But you probably will come home reflecting on the relaxed lifestyle, even if only enjoyed for a few days.

Rustic Relaxation
This Lakehouse is definitely rustic and campy but we loved it and had an amazing time. We had everything we needed. If you want to sleep in, sleep in the room over the garage as you can hear everything in the other house. Not insulated and all wood. We had young kids with us and when they were up we were all up. The property and lakefront are great. We spent a lot of time kayaking and enjoying the view. Jen was easy to work with and the neighbors and Deb who lives nearby were super sweet, friendly and helpful. We loved the simplicity of the house and had a campfire every night outside. The house could use some work but like I said it’s rustic.

Great property location
When renting a property I don't expect to have burned out light bulbs. I do expect fans to work as advertised. The add on charge for "Deep Cleaning " was a waste of my money.

We love staying at this property for our family vacation. The location is perfect and you can’t beat the incredible views. The beach area is perfect for children of all ages. The kids ages ranged from 2-15 and they all had something to do- swimming, kayaking, fishing, paddle boarding or just having fun jumping off the dock. The kitchen is well equipped.
This is our second time staying here and we can’t wait to come back again next year.

Beautiful Honeymoon Cottage
My husband and I stayed at Lone Star Camp for our alternative honeymoon this past week and had an amazing time! The views are absolutely the best part, regardless of if it was sunny, foggy or cloudy. We loved the privacy of the entire property, especially the sandy beach where our dogs LOVED swimming. The owner and property manager were wonderful and made sure we had plenty of firewood even though it was the end of the season. The main house definitely has a lot of old cottage charm in contrast to the updated room above the garage. You get the best of both worlds. We loved this property and highly recommend it!

A True Maine LakeHouse Experience!
This LakeHouse was everything we dreamt of and more for our Maine vacation. It has the rustic charm of an old LakeHouse that you can’t get from a newer home. I loved the different spaces to spend time, from the dining room table, corner living room by the windows, sandy beach, and fire pit to name a few. We were delighted to find the property manager, Deb, and her family were extremely accommodating and replied immediately to any of our questions. They even brought us extra firewood for the fire pit! Jennifer was extremely easy to communicate with and accommodating during these challenging times. I can’t wait to book a stay here again, hopefully every year! It was nothing short of magical with family and friends. Thank you!

Nothing could top the 270 degree views of Sebago Lake.
The private beach and dock area was perfect.
The location could not be better. Right across from Frye Island and all it has to offer. Also just down the road from the Ferry to Frye Island. Both the house, the room above the garage and the entire property was great! They supplied you everything you need for a fun and fulfilling summer vacation on the lake.
Thank you Jen and Deb for being so accommodating.
We look forward to returning for years to come.

Rustic cabin of my dreams!
This property was a true gem. Nestled away on a dirt road with a beautiful shoreline dotted with trees - yet not far from shops or groceries. We had such a great time disconnecting and having morning coffee out by the water. We took the kayaks to frye’s Leap cafe just across the water for lunch and drinks a few times too! The sunsets were incredible and we could have spent weeks here. Highly recommend this cabin, and the owner and property managers were equally as lovely to boot!

Rustic !
I LOVE the simplicity of the home, was not bothered with no ac, fans an open air was always very cool. (Days were in the 80/90”s) we left the bathroom light on at night and it obviously attracted ? Fruit like flies, and moths, (a little bothersome) but the outdoors, the fire pit was awesome, plenty of wood available, grilled every night and sat outside at th e table with amazing views of the sunsets. The dock and swimming area on the other side of the home were amazing as well, beach chairs and toys, great sandy area for the little one, and clear, clean swimming area. Great vacation

Amazing Views Beautiful Beach
We loved our vacation at Lone Star Camp. It is a charming camp with beautiful views, a lovely sandy beach and kayaks ready to go. The ferry to Frye Island is right next door and gave us two great lunch trips to the cute cafe on the island. The bonus room over the garage afforded great sleeps in the cool quiet nights. We were there with our two little granddaughters (18 months and 3) and there were cute little play swings and slides that they spent hours playing on and with each other. We also had our adult children with us and had a gorgeous fire every night in the fire pit - thank you Jen and Brian for supplying all the wood. Thank you very much for a great vacation.

rustic paradise
Our family of 7 adults, one 3 year old and 2 infants had a blast at this camp! The property was ideal, and we especially loved the waterfront, with boats, and the fire pit.

Beautiful property, everything we needed!
This was the perfect place for our family and friends to stay. The property is gorgeous: the views, sunset, beach, and water in the swimming area. The house had everything we needed: grills, kayaks, canoe, beach chairs, place for toddlers to play outdoors, outdoor seating, firepit, games, wifi, DVD player, amenities in the kitchen, etc. Location was great as well: canoed to Frye Island for lunch, short drive to restaurants and stores, but secluded on the property enough to have privacy. The owners were very friendly and welcoming to us as well.

Wonderful stay on a beautiful property!
What a special piece of property on goregous Sebago Lake! We had an excellent stay and enjoyed all that the Lone Star Camp had to offer - calm sandy beach, hammock, gas grill, kayaks, fire pit, dock, float and gorgeous views. The property is set higher up overlooking the lake with excellent sunsets and just enough privacy if that is what is wanted. And it's right across from Frye Island which was fun to explore (and there is a cute restaurant/general store)!
This is a great place for a family gathering or if you have young kids as it's equipped to handle both. It came with a lot of the things you just don't want to pack - beach chairs, life jackets, cooking supplies, kids toys. The main house is rustic, but full of charm and it was perfect for what we wanted - the authentic Maine lake experience. The garage apartment offers more updated sleeping quarters and air conditioning if it happens to be hot (it was unusually warm the week we were there!). There is also two cribs if you have young kids which is awesome!
Jen and Brian were excellent hosts, answering a lot of questions we had prior to our arrival. We hope to come back again next year! Thank you!

The property and view are lovely! We had a wonderful time kayaking, swimming, and relaxing. Great location for boaters! Be sure to check out the Fryes Leap Cafe across the lake. Very comfortable accommodations for a couple or a family.

WONDERFUL FAMILY VACATION!!!
A great vacation was made here!!! The rustic charm of the cabin along with the stunning view made for great pictures and fun memories!!! Our favorite was sitting by the fire and watching the sunsets. It was also so nice to be able to easily put in our kayak in the morning from the beach or sit and relax with coffee on the sun deck. There was plenty of room for this family of 6 and for our visiting family of 5 in the additional bedroom over the garage. We had an excellent stay and hope to return someday soon!
