About this house rental
Welcome to our Playa Avellanas Beach House, with 3 large bedrooms and 3 bathrooms on a beautiful, privately gated half-acre property, just a short scenic walk to the gorgeous white-sand beach out front through the neighboring world-famous mangrove boardwalk.
Each bedroom has a very comfortable California king-size bed with 1500-count Egyptian cotton sheets, ice-cold air conditioning, ceiling fans, and a Smart TV, with extremely reliable high-speed WiFi throughout.
There is a fully equipped kitchen, a large teak dining table, and plenty of comfortable indoor and outdoor spaces to choose from, including five oversized hammocks to relax in.
We are centrally located, making it an easy walk to a number of great nearby restaurants, bars, cafés, local shops, and two small grocery stores, making a rental car completely unnecessary.
Enjoy our beautiful beaches, incredible sunsets, and all the tropical nature surrounding us, where you will see monkeys, parrots, and lots of other amazing wildlife.
We’re happy to help arrange airport transportation, private drivers, tours, surf lessons, and surfboard rentals during your stay, and we include boogie boards with your rental free of charge.
Whether you’re coming for a week, a month, or spending the winter here in Costa Rica, we know you’ll feel completely at home.
The property has two other smaller houses, each completely private and separate, sharing only the gated entrance.

We absolutely loved our stay here and did not want to leave. The property feels like a private tropical retreat right in the heart of Playa Avellanas. Everything was exactly as described, if not better.The location was perfect — an easy walk to the beach, restaurants, and local shops, yet the property itself felt peaceful, quiet, and secluded behind the gated entrance. We especially loved walking through the mangrove boardwalk to the beach every morning and watching the sunsets in the evenings.The home was incredibly comfortable and spacious. The California king beds were amazing, the AC worked perfectly, and the 1500 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets honestly felt like something from a luxury hotel. The house was spotless and thoughtfully designed with beautiful local art and antiques throughout.One thing that surprised us was how relaxing the property felt. We spent hours in the hammocks listening to the sounds of nature, and we saw monkeys and parrots right on the property during our stay.The WiFi was strong enough for remote work and streaming, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The large dining area and extra living space made it perfect for our family to spread out and relax comfortably.Ben was one of the best hosts we’ve ever had — extremely communicative, helpful, and genuinely cared that we had a great experience. The Beach house was a great place to explore the quaint village of Playa Avellenas! We walked everywhere. The host, Benny, went out of his way to ensure that we had a great time and needed for nothing. We will be back for more surfing!

Ben is the best host. He is super easy to contact, he replies in less than a hour usually, and if there’s anything you need he’s the guy to ask. His recommendations were wonderful. We loved the restaurants nearby, and Playa Avellanas is incredible.
