Juan’s house is absolutely stunning- the house itself, the property as a whole, and the setting.
We cooked most of our meals and the kitchen was a delight to work in. Very well-equipped with high end appliances, utensils, pots and pans, and an abundance of dishes. We also grilled a fair amount, which was great.
The living spaces are good for hanging out and talking. Comfortable sofas and chairs, with beautiful views of the Rip van Winkle bridge over the Hudson. Outdoor seating areas are also nice. We did not dine at the outdoor table, but it looked like that would be comfortable.
The pool was a delight! Not heated, but plenty warm this time of year. Very clean and nicely appointed with comfortable seating and umbrellas. The pool area and lawn around it are completely fenced in, so safe to have kids around outside without fear of them falling in.
The bedrooms are beautiful and the beds were very comfortable- my 88 year old father slept in the downstairs room so he did not have to navigate the steps.
There is a small playground behind the church next door that our granddaughter enjoyed, and there is a nice waterfront park a little over a mile away.
We brought our dog, and he LOVED playing fetch in the enormous yard and running up and down the hill in the back!
Last but not least, there were virtually NO mosquitoes!!!

Juan’s historic home is beautifully decorated and designed, and is in a great location just a few blocks from the RVW Bridge. The house has a great view of the bridge and a delightful swimming pool. The house generally, and the beds in particular, are very comfortable.
Only downsides were the house is a bit dark, there is no cable TV and one of the benches by the pool cracked when it was sat upon. These were minor annoyances, however, given the home’s considerable advantages.

Beautifully designed (inside and out) property in a secluded location overlooking the striking Rip Van Winkle Bridge. Amazing attention to detail inside the property and a wonderful garden and pool to spend the warm summer days in. Close to Hudson and lots of great restaurants in towns nearby. Perfect place for a family holiday and wonderful memories.

The house, decor, and location where absolutely amazing. There were 8 of us (4 adults and 4 kids). There was plenty of space inside and an incredible yard. The home is only 10 minutes drive to Hudson. Juan was lovely and always available for any questions. Hope to go back sometime!

Wonderful!
Our group of friends (3 couples) has rented many vacation homes over the years, and this one is a favorite. The house is well designed and beautifully appointed, with a lovely view of the river. It is filled with art and beautiful objects, but still very comfortable. There is plenty of space, with many separate areas both inside and outdoors, so everyone can gather or find solitude as they wish. Both Catskill and Hudson are within minutes, and great hikes and other activities are nearby. Juan is a responsive and gracious host.

Stunningly beautiful !!
Stunningly beautiful property, tastefully decorated sitting in perhaps one of the best locations in the Hudson Valley. This rental felt like a home as soon as we walked in. Both the house and the property it sits on is quite spacious. Can't think of a better way to spend time with family than to spend time here. Juan was truly a gracious host, flexible and available in times of need. My highest recommendations !!

Amazing getaway
We had a fantastic experience, from the booking process to check in and all through our stay. Juan was responsive and great to communicate with and the house itself was spectacular. The views and location can’t be beat and the house was perfect for relaxing whether by the pool, on the porch, in the living room or in the kitchen while cooking. Every time we turned around we noticed another piece of art or little touch that added to the experience. Highly recommend and look forward to visiting again!

Best rental property I've stayed in
Juan's home was the perfect upstate getaway from my partner and puppy. The house itself is perfectly decorated, elegantly laid-out and has an incredible view of the Rip Van Winkle Bridge and Hudson River. It's a truly special property less than ten minutes from the town of Hudson - highly recommend!

This is a beautiful home on a breathtaking piece of land. It was such a pleasure to stay here, to enjoy the views from almost every room, cooking in that giant welcoming kitchen, sinking into that deep tub. Juan was a wonderful host and made the process smooth and welcoming. Look forward to returning again!

Idyllic getaway
House is right by the water, and I can't even describe how great and tranquil the view of the Hudson river and RIP van Winkle bridge is from the lounge area is. Neighborhood is quiet, while not super far from all the shops and stores. House is very beautifully decorated, Very vibrant and eclectic while subtle and not imposing. Owner Juan is very responsive to all the questions we have. Will definitely go back!

Luxury and charm in the Hudson Valley
Juan's home on the Hudson river is absolutely stunning. The renovation of the house is so well done, with spectacular views across the Hudson river and to Olana. The decor and furnishings are beautiful. We loved gathering for a meal along the hugest kitchen island I've ever seen. It is a quick drive into Hudson but it was hard for our group to tear ourselves away from the house. We hope to return one day!

Wonderful
Everyone in our group loved their stay in Catskill and that's in large part due to the beautiful house we stayed in! The home is wonderfully decorated, the rooms were comfortable and the kitchen is just perfect for cooking with friends and family. The recently finished pool is beautiful, and adds to the charm of the house. Although the water was a bit chilly for swimming, we did spend a good amount of time relaxing around it. Juan was awesome to work with and we are definitely planning on a return visit!

50th Anniversary celebration with parents
My brother and I rented the property for a long weekend to celebrate our parents' 50th anniversary in July 2019. The property was fantastic! Very comfortable, clean, conveniently located yet secluded, with amazing views. We had a great time. Juan was a great owner and extremely responsive. We were not previously familiar with this area and my wife and I are considering a return to so we spend more time ourselves.

This home is amazing, and literally right out of a magazine. The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen is huge, and the living spaces are great for lounging around and talking. Exactly what the group I was with wanted for our weekend!

Fabulous property with gorgeous views
The house, views, and location were terrific.
The living spaces were beautiful and spacious, and accurately reflected in the pics (and in some ways even better than pictured, if you can imagine!). Our group kept marveling at the various design details within the house. The manicured lawn/grounds plus river and bridge views were breathtaking. Just a short ride away from a brewery in Catskill and the cute town of Hudson.
If you're looking to stay in the area and have a medium-sized group, this place is perfect. We looked at so many different houses online, and now after staying here for a few nights, we couldn't be happier with our choice.
P.s., Juan is super accommodating and a lovely host.

Perfect Farmhouse with Gorgeous View
This historic farmhouse has been perfectly restored and beautifully decorated. We were in town for the HITS horse show in Saugerties and looked forward to returning to this gorgeous house at the end of each day. It has the most incredible view of the Rip Van Winkle bridge and is close to the charming town of Hudson. We have stayed in some beautiful homes over the years, but this is our favorite!

The house is exactly as advertised; absolutely gorgeous, with a very scenic location and truly beautiful views of the river and surrounding hills. Spectacular Hudson River Home
My husband, three adult children and I spent 6 days in this gorgeous home. It was a perfect vacation for us. The home itself is spectacular, comfortable, welcoming, and incredibly designed so that everyone was able to enjoy family space, a stunning and fully stocked kitchen, and wonderful outside spaces where we spent hours gazing at the views while spending special time together as a family.
The house is situated so that it is an easy drive to Hudson where we found excellent restaurants and shops. We were also close to wonderful walking and biking trails.
The surrounding area was wonderful, the ride from Brooklyn was easy, but what made this a family vacation that we will always treasure was this incredible home. We have done a great deal of traveling and can honestly say this home was one of the most remarkable, unique places we have ever stayed. We would love to return someday!

Exceptional Property
We came to Wildings on Hudson for a ladies weekend and were blown away at the gorgeous property. The house is even prettier in real life then in photos. The owner was very easy to deal with, and we are all looking for an opportunity to return. If you are looking for an extremely posh location, close to town, great for groups or family, I couldn't recommend Wildings on Hudson more.

Perfect stylish view home on the Hudson!
The owners have taken great care to update this classic 1790's home.
They maintained all of the character and authenticity while stewarding the home into the 21st century. Comfortable, well appointed with stunning views and lovely grounds to walk about. This was a perfect choice for me and my friends. We wanted a special place to stay for a birthday weekend that would be close proximity to great hiking and only a couple of hours away from NYC. Five stars all the way!

Architectural Gem on the Hudson River
My husband and I recently stayed at this wonderful property that exceeded our expectations. We arrived through the iron gates and were immediately greeted by an expansive sloping lawn and natural stone patio that was the foreground to the beautifully restored house perched high on the grounds overlooking the Hudson River and the Rip Van Winkle bridge. Walking though the main entrance you see immediately through the kitchen, into the living room, and out to the natural vistas beyond.
The house is something to be experienced with such a variety of different rooms adorned with artwork, sculptures, and various other treasures. The kitchen is spacious and allows formal/informal gatherings that can move easily into the dining area, the living room, and/or the family room.
Upstairs are the majority of the bedrooms (one downstairs) and the master bedroom and bath is ideally situated looking out at the Hudson River valley. There is also a bonus art studio off of the entry vestibule where we played ping pong and enjoyed yet another patio looking out at the Bridge and River.
The wildlife is abundant and we were daily in the presence of deer roaming the lawn area and woods never too worried that we were on the wrap around porch enjoying their movements and taking pictures.
We enjoyed such a relaxing vacation waking up every morning to the beautiful views and exploring the regions antiquities, history museums, hiking areas, restaurants, and the many breweries/distilleries.
We were planning our return before we even left!

Gorgeous home and property
We loved our stay. The house was comfortable and well appointed. It is secluded and private. We spent many hours on the porch overlooking the Hudson River. The property is close to the towns of Hudson and Catskill

I wish I had more days at this stunning house! There were four of us, and we had tons of space. The house could easily accommodate a larger family/friends gathering. The place is impeccably decorated, with amazing river views (pictures true to reality). There is direct river access by crossing the massive lawn (which was also a luxury for us). We had a great weekend shopping and exploring Hudson and, what I enjoyed the most: relaxing at the house, watching river life. If we had more time, I would’ve made full use of the kitchen which has the most beautiful island I’ve ever seen. Very easy to get to by train from NYC, but need a car to get around the area. Juan had all everything set up for us, and made it all too easy! Can’t wait to go back and sled down the rolling hill in the yard!
