Nestled in Montreat, this charming house for $343 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Experience the mountains in a Round house among the trees. Ideal Montreat location. Directly across the street from the tennis courts, the playground, the Youth Center (pool, foosball, ping pong in summe ) and Flat Creek. Only steps away from Conference Center. The NEW decks offer perfect outdoor living. Including a new large screened porch with room for dining or relax and enjoy the mountain view while listening to the sounds of the mountain creek across the street. Spend your days on the scenic nearby Blue Ridge Parkway, exploring the endless hiking trails of Montreat or at the charming shops and cafes of Black Mountain. It’s a 5-minute drive to the wonderful shops and cafes in Black Mountain and a 15-minute drive to downtown Asheville, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the Biltmore House. The upper level boasts a large master bedroom with a king bed, a twin bed, a Smart tv, and an attached full bath. Plus, a Great room with large Smart TV, wood-beamed ceiling, a fireplace, game area, dining area, and NEWLY RENOVATED kitchen with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and all the cookware you will need. Downstairs has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with a triple bunk bed and a shared full bathroom. The bunk room has another Smart TV. Parking for two vehicles. The three flatscreen Smart TVs include Hulu Live for local channels, movies, and Hulu shows and access to Netflix, Amazon, etc. Rental also has a Wii game console, WiFi, washer, dryer, air-conditioner, and heat. From parking, there is a small incline to access the steps to the lower deck and then about 15 steps to the first deck/screened porch. Two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a laundry room are on this level. Then about 10 inside steps to the second/main level. Or you can take the outside steps to the main level. For security when no one is staying at the cabin, there are two security cameras that face the parking lot ONLY. They are monitored when renters are not there. About Montreat... Montreat, NC is a secluded mountain cove community nestled at the foot of Greybeard Mountain and surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains. We are located in the far eastern portion of Buncombe County near the Eastern Continental Divide.

This is a two-story roundhouse sitting far above a quiet street, within less than 5 minutes' walk of Montreat center. It is relatively new and flawlessly maintained, with up-to-date kitchen and bathrooms. The two porches (one open, one comprehensively screened) are a dream come true on warm Montreat summer afternoons.
Everything was spotless during our visit. Communication with Amy was great and we had no issues at either check-in or check-out. We appreciate the great experience and will reserve this house again next time we come back to Montreat.

The Treehouse was a perfect place for our family to spend a week in Montreat. It was right by the amazing park with the stream running through it. We were there several times each day. The house was clean and comfortable, and the kitchen was well-equipped. We have stayed in many Montreat homes, and this is one of our favorites!

We loved our trip to Montreat/Black Mountain and our stay at this property. It was the perfect location for us- close enough to Asheville and tons of family friendly things to do near/around the property itself. We were able to hike nearby and the recreation type center across the street was perfect for our young children in between activities. Our young kids (7, 6, and 4) even played with some local teenagers who were extremely kind. The house was clean, well stocked, and cozy. It was obvious that it is a well cared for family home. Our family of five would like to visit this area in all seasons and we’d love to rent this property again.

The treehouse was absolutely perfect for our family of 5! It quickly jumped to our favorite place in Montreat. Great location! All of the comforts of home. Awesome porch to see the leaves, read and enjoy a cup of coffee! We can't wait to go back and stay longer! Perfect!

We loved our stay in Montreat. The house is very well loved and cared for. The owners have put a lot of thought and detail into their house and it has everything you could need for a great getaway. We had our three children with us (9,7, 3m). Our two older kids were especially excited for the bunk beds and our 3 month stayed comfortably in a pack n' play with my husband and I in the master. My mom stayed with us and had her own room downstairs. My mom is in her 70's so going up two flights of stairs was a little challenging at times for her when unloading and loading the car but overall she did great and was very comfortable. The house has two porches that are really cool with great views. You really feel like you're in a tree house!

We had a great time in the treehouse! Location is unbeatable, easy walk to playground, Lake Susan, etc. even with small children. Comfy beds, updated kitchen and baths, two fantastic porches, lots of games, easy to use thermostat and TVs. We would have loved to stay longer!
As pictured/stated in description, the house is on a sloped lot and there are many steps both outside and in. If accessibility is an issue look elsewhere.

Top House in Montreat
Rare find in Montreat. Completely updated home in perfect location with great porches for relaxation. I was very excited about our week on Montreat and this great house with its central location, and nothing about the house failed to meet my expectations. If it's available, you should rent it. I have stayed in many Montreat houses and this one is at the top.
And it has a great and easy to communicate with host. 5 stars across the board.

This home is perfectly located within Montreat for families! Playground and lake Susan just steps away. Views from top porch were gorgeous. The home is very well stocked, furniture is comfy and the space is even bigger than the pictures show. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back ourselves!

Lovely getaway
This tree house is perfect for a family vacation, but also lends itself to a weekend with a few friends. The fall foliage created a lovely scene outside, while my friends and I enjoyed the warmth of the house and the modern amenities. Very enjoyable visit.

Loved our stay here. Very comfortable, great location, park nearby for the kids and lots of great hikes right in Montreat. Black Mountain and Asheville are great cities nearby with lots of shops and restaurants. We loved our stay here!

My family of 4 had a great stay at the treehouse! We love the playground, ducks at Lake Susan and hiking in Montreat all of which was right out the front door! We even saw a black bear behind the house while we were on the screen porch which was amazing! The screen porch is so well stocked with games- it was one of our favorite spots. We will stay here again for sure.
There are so many stairs so I would caution anyone with mobility issues to think twice about this house. I wish that there was a way to access the screen porch from inside other than the through the bunk room. Several nights we were there it was pouring down rain and my husband and I would have loved to sit on the porch after we put the kids down but I wasn’t going to wake up the 2yo or walk down a flight of exterior stairs in driving rain.

Beautiful house in fun location
This home is located across the street from the tennis courts and playground and very close to Lake Susan and the many trailheads throughout Montreat. The home itself is lovely! Very comfortable with two porches, games, great furniture, windows everywhere and a wood burning fireplace in the cozy main room. The kitchen had all the staples we needed to complement our own groceries. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms were really nice. Heated floors in the downstairs bathroom! We loved everything about our stay and will definitely be back. The owner made things easy and communicated with us well. Excellent rental.

We chose this home because it was unique. It was very clean and cozy. The location was perfect. The weather was perfect. We enjoyed walking through the trails and down the sidewalks. Amazing stay!
We loved our stay at the Barclay Treehouse! Our kids loved the games and the screened porch. Our boys really enjoyed the triple bunk in their room. We loved the location and went on a walk around Montreat as a family. We took this trip as a “back to school” relaxing weekend and it was that and more. We all had a great time and the home was absolutely beautiful.

Everything was great until I got an extra charge to me card. When I asked about the charge I was informed that the master had to have pillows, curtains and comforter because they smelt like smoke. My family and I followed their rules, but my wife and I were penalized for being smokers. Ridiculous! I would not rent here again.

The park was right beside us and it was the coolest place for kids to play. There is a river that runs through and around it. The house had two decks/sitting areas which will be great when we come back for a longer stay and more family. I also appreciate the notes around the house as reminders because it is something I would do. Owner was very responsive if I had any check-out questions as well.

First off, this property was lovely and the owner was very communicative. It was a great retreat and convenient to lots of activities. The playground and creek nearby were lovely. That said, we have an 8-month-old and a 3-year-old and we really struggled with the temperatures and layout. It was hard to keep it warm enough for our littles ones and difficult to get up and down the stairs. I would absolutely recommend this property and I think we'd return in a couple years. But if you have kids under ~5 or so, this may not be right for you.
