Gem of a hotel

Very cute, nice location if you want to get away from the town and plan to do some hiking or just want to be in the beautiful xo xo. The hosts are super nice and friendly. They offered dinner for an additional charge and it was very tasty.

Internet went in and out sometimes but it's to be expected in this remote of a place.

Best stay in Santo Antao. Don't miss!

In 10 days in Cape Verde it was my favourite stay! I loved the location. You wake up in the middle of nature, hearing frogs and birds. At night you can see the stars. Next to a beautiful waterfall and Xoxo valley hike. The staff is helpful and friendly. We had them cook dinner for us which we shared with other guests. Incidentally, there was a power cut - the staff cooked the dinner with candlelight and then we also ate it with candlelight. An experience to remember!

Accommodation is very basic. We had a power cut twice in 3 days which is probably not uncommon in Santo Antao. BUT the location and the amazing staff make up for it! I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Perfect location end of valley, right before trail heads.

Can’t beat the spot in Xoxo valley and there is not any competitors that we saw on this pedestrian portion of the end of valley, as close as it gets to trail head as possible. They did a very nice lunch and dinner for us upon request. Breakfast was okay. Staff was helpful, but limited English, come informed on the couple trails leading out of here. Rooms are basic, but at the cost, no complaints.

Our room was at entrance near the office, loud in mid-afternoon if you are trying to rest after your walk. Rather have them charge a bit more and improve breakfast. Lunch and dinner were lovely.

Fantastic location and simple clean accomodation

Great location and nice walks in the area. Comfortable bed and very kind personnel. Pre ordered dinner was tasty. Nice atmosphere with other guests

The house dog barking in the early hours and from other guests we found out it was each early morning the same.

Thuiskomen in deze omgeving alleen al voelt als een luxe.

Absoluut prachtige omgeving. Je kunt mooie hikes vanuit casa XoXo maken. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Zowel het onbijt als het avondeten is goed. Het uitzicht vanuit casa XoXo is super. Kamer comfortabel zonder veel extra's. Wel een fijn bed en precies alles wat je nodig hebt.

Helemaal niks viel tegen, het is gewoon een superplek

Good location for exploring the valley

The location is really great if you want to do some trekking in the valley, and it's definitely great value for money. The room was simple with no view but fine for the price we paid. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious.

Most staff don't speak any English and very limited French. Due to a lack of communication, we waited for more than an hour for our room because they just couldn't tell us that the room would be ready later (and when) so we could leave our luggage and come back later.

Very familiar accommodation, with an unforgettable view, with an overall sense of community. The dinner and breakfast were great, very homy! Great price-quality ratio as well.

Great location

The location is fantastic, great views from the terrace in every direction. The food was delicious. It was not mentioned in the description, but they have pretty good wireless internet. Overall very good value for money.

Exceptional

I recently had a wonderful stay at Kasa Xoxo in Ribeira da Torre. The accommodation was beautiful and the surrounding was stunning. The breakfast was delicious and the wifi was strong enough for all our needs. We also had a chance to enjoy a tasty dinner with other German and French guests, which was a great way to get to know the area and its people. Overall, I had nothing to complain about and can highly recommend Kasa Xoxo for anyone

Very good

Great location right where hiking trails start, nice room with a view, nice staff, good dinner, shared bathroom was kept clean.

The water pump is very loud, and is constant all day and night, making it difficult to sleep. One of the other guests ended up getting up in the night to unplug it so everyone could sleep. Also, such a beautiful location but they don't have any lounging area outside set up to enjoy it.

Amazing location. This valley is spectacular, maybe the best on the island. The view from the terrace is great. Rooms are ok, basic but clean. Hot water. Good internet. Nice staff. Dinner, on request, is good.

Decent hotel at a wonderful location.

None of the rooms have a view, which feels like a missed opportunity. There's no lounging area, which again seems a waste at this location. Most staff don't speak English and attempt to communicate is minimal (I was wordlessly taken to my room and handed a key and had to kinda figure it out from there), but to be fair when you actively ask for something they were friendly and accommodating even if it took some wild gesturing to communicate.

Basic guesthouse with no luxury, but on a magnificent location!

Friendly people in and aroud the guesthouse. The breakfast was good, bread and a toaster, ham, cheese, boiled egg, fresh warm banana beignets, cake and fresh papaya, super! The view is magnificent and you can start imidiate with a hikingtrail, great! For this price it is what you can expect, so don't expect any luxury or comfort, but friendly people and a beautiful view!

The room is very basic, only a bed and bathroom, no 'deluxe room' as we expected. The bed is hard and you could feel the spirals of the mattrass. In the room you could hear the people above you and next to you. We came by rented car. The road to the guesthouse is very steep and narrow with hardly place to park your car and also lots of small vans going up and down to drop of tourist for a hike.

Great place to stay at Xoxo valley!

Beautiful location and amazing view from the tarrace! The room was clean, breakfast and dinner big and tasty. Personel was helpfull and very nice.

If you need an internet, the wifi is not working that well

Great location to stay for a few nights

Lovely location in valley. They were quick to respond when I was trying to find out how to get to them. Likewise when I couldn’t get any hot water in the shower after a day of hiking. The food I had was good, there was no menu, everyone has the same. Not any amenities nearby except a bar I didn’t visit but that part of the charm of Casa Xoxo and the reason I chose it. Room was a decent size and comfortable and the views are just lovely. I wish I had more than the two nights here to do a walk locally and explore nearby and to soak up a bit more of the tranquility.
