About this cabin rental

Situated in Cheoah, this charming cabin for $85 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Are the backwoods calling? Travel a half hour from town to an uneven gravel/dirt road to get up close and personal with nature. The cabin overlooks two wild brook trout creeks converging to one, plus a mountain ridge view! Let this forest hideaway bring tranquility or adventure for a couple's overnight or longer. We want our guests to feel the spirit of the area and the simplicity of life so unplug, enjoy the view and melt the stress away. Be aware venomous snakes and wild animals are indigenous to our area. 2 miles from paved road, all vehicles need 5" clearance, 1.2 mile of uneven gravel/dirt and potholes. NOT suitable for motorcycles. No cell or WiFi. No charging EV batteries. Use ONLY our directions! Logging days of the past used the creeks to harvest timber. The boulder creek offers lots of white noise with small waterfalls that can be seen and heard throughout. Bring your pole as it's home to wild brook trout or hatchery supported downstream. Country décor shows logging history in this well-equipped 400 sq ft cabin. Relax on the deck or take a nap in the covered porch. Walk your own private trail that leads to the creek-side deck. The Nantahala National Forest is our backyard and playground. Bring your outdoor gear for adventure right outside your door. Come "tame the dragon", ride the "Cherohala Skyway" or "hug" a tree at Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest. It has everything you need for a solo traveler or a couple. Spend a few nights or an extended stay. We hope to hear from ya!

My wife and I had the misfortune of having to cancel our Honeymoon due to a knee injury. Upon looking, she found this treasure and we jumped on the opportunity to spend the time together. When we entered the cabin, there was a welcome sign and in the living room.....a small Christmas tree and hearts for both occasions. Not only that, there was a big brownie and a present on the kitchen table! Absolutely everything was perfect....from the cabin itself to the river flowing below us. It was great to be able to "unplug" and just be together. Oh, being able to leave our mark on the porch was a blast :) Thank you so much!

Once you arrive at the cabin/tiny house it is adorable and very tranquil and has all of your basic needs. I suggest you arrive at the cabin during daylight hours. We made the mistake of arriving at nightfall and it made locating it tricky. I am more of a going places and doing things kind of person so that required a lot of driving as the little town of Robbinsville has nothing to offer. However, you can get to Bryson and Cherokee in a little over an hour or so. If you really want to just relax and disconnect from the world, this is your place.

What a quaint surprise, tucked away in the serene hollow of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mtns. The creek was perfect and the cabin was everything we needed and wished for! We did a lot of our cooking and the kitchen is efficient. No cell signal and no WiFi took some getting used to, lol, but was exactly what we needed to recharge. We walked the Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest Trail and must say, it’s amazing!!! Allow yourself a couple of hours to really take it all in.

This is the perfect place to disconnect from the daily grind and reconnect with your spouse. We so enjoyed the fact that nature surrounded us and reminded us we where all that was needed. The cabin is beautiful and stocked with all the essentials, just bring your groceries and get ready to unwind. We walked the creek, drove the mountains and even played board games, most of all we held hands, talked and enjoyed our time together. Perfect is what it seems to be.

The property was just as advertised - clean, up-to-date, comfortable, and scenic. The furnishings inside the house were incredible, and the porch was beautiful. We spent the majority of our time sitting on the porch watching and listening to the river. Alice was a wonderful host, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Junction!

My adult son & I sought a place “away from the everyday hustle & bustle”, the tranquility of a remote location in a beautiful natural setting. The Junction fit what we sought PERFECTLY! We stayed a full week, drove into town only once, ~midweek, for additional groceries. Each day we hiked & explored the area near the cabin, fished in the steam, & caught Brook & Rainbow trout up & down stream from the cabin. It was like a camping trip to a remote wilderness area, but with all the comforts of home in a perfect cabin. Alice & Doug have done an outstanding job of researching the local history & very tastefully & appropriately decorated the cabin, confirmed by the posted pictures. They also provide everything one could possibly need/want in the cabin, both for comfort & necessity. After a day of hiking/fishing we would sit on the covered or open part of the deck looking down on the beautiful clear, flowing water of a mountain stream… or looking out & up at a colorful mountain ridge, both the sights & sounds were incredibly relaxing & spirit renewing. The natural beauty surrounding the cabin is outstanding! I could write/say much more, all positive, about the Junction & hosts, Alice & Doug… but will end this review by simply saying… I can’t wait to find an opportunity to return to THE JUNCTION!
