About this cottage rental
Nestled in Carbondale, this lovely cottage for $165 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. The Artists' Cottage on the corner of Eight and Euclid was completed in December of 2015 and has over 600 square feet of bright south facing living that accommodates two to three guests (additional nightly charge for 3rd guest). The cottage is a free-standing building separate from the owners’ house and has its own parking, entrance, flagstone patio, small yard and view of Mt Sopris. With a vaulted ceiling, gas fireplace and bamboo floors the cottage is a warm contemporary space to spend a few days or a few weeks. A separate bedroom with a queen bed, blackout blinds and high thread count linens guarantee a great night’s sleep. A hotel style twin size roll-away bed is available to be set up in the living room for a third guest. The bath has a walk/wheel in shower and a separate room with commode and washer/dryer. The kitchen is fully equipped with gas convection range, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, toaster and both a multi-cup and single serve coffee makers and all the utensils and serve ware needed to prepare and serve meals. There is an attached storage area for skis and other sporting equipment. Cable TV and free WiFi allow guests to stay connected. While the cottage is not ADA compliant, it has no stairs and is fairly accessible depending on an individual’s needs. Please inquire about accessibility. Note about Covid -19: While we have always taken pride in maintaining a clean environment, during this time of Covid-19, we are being even more vigilant. We have instituted a 24 hour gap between guests to allow for thorough cleaning and disinfecting following CDC guidelines. We have a HEPA air purifier in the unit per CDC guidelines. We also provide guests with a supply of disinfecting wipes, masks and hand sanitizer for use during their stay. Located in the heart of the old town Carbondale residential neighborhood, the cottage is a short walk or bike ride to everything available in Carbondale: restaurants, shops, library, Sopris Park, bike paths, yoga studios, RFTA bus stop, recreation center, golf course and more. The Roaring Fork Valley, which extends from Aspen to Glenwood Springs and includes the towns of Carbondale and Basalt is home to endless outdoor activities: alpine and Nordic skiing, golf, biking, rafting, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, fly fishing, hiking, climbing, Frisbee golf and soaking in numerous hot springs. Cultural offerings include the Aspen Art Museum, the Powers Museum, the Aspen Music Festival, JAS Aspen music festival,the Five Point Film Festival, Aspen Film, the Carbondale Mountain Fair, the Aspen Institute and many others. Owned by a household of three artists, the cottage is filled with original art work, which reflects the vibrant art scene in Carbondale and the Roaring Fork Valley

Just finished our week ski vacation. Linda and Andy were wonderful hosts. The property was very clean and comfortable. Exactly like pictured. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Loved the extra touch of having our sidewalk shoveled every morning before we left for skiing. We will be back.

My husband and our Australian Shepherd pup had a wonderful four-night stay while visiting family in the area. We loved the location, which is walkable to the charming Carbondale downtown area. Deer greeted us outside our front door in the quiet of the early morning.
The shower was great (good water pressure, hot water), and the bed was comfortable. The AC worked well, extra window unit for daytime heat. For those who like to read detailed reviews about specifics: they had two coffee pots (in case you aren’t a fan of Keurig-type coffee pots.) They even had a washer and dryer with good quality (no scent) detergent.
You can tell they put incredible thought and hosting wisdom into this space. It is beautifully designed & adorned. One day, we just rested indoors (we had quite a long road trip), and the art on the walls is a beautiful scene in and of itself.
We had plenty of privacy and were surprised how quiet the neighborhood was (even with some construction across the street, windows closed cancel the sound well).
Do not hesitate to book this place. Host communication was excellent and quick.
We look forward to visiting again on our next return to this Colorado area.

Immaculately clean, very well supplied with toiletries, coffee and tea choices, laundry soap, and dishes. Unlike other VRBO's, the host had simple and precise instructions on how to get the most from your stay once checked in. My wife and I truly loved our stay here. Don't look further....this is the one you want. The host was very attentive and communicated well before and during our stay.

The venue was just a mile down the road and I brought my mountain bike and had a number of trails within a 10 minute drive of the cottage. She checked in with us at the beginning of our stay to make sure we were happy and comfortable, which we were! For anyone who's coming to visit Colorado Rocky mountain School this is an excellent location walkable to White House Pizza and a bunch of other great places downtown and to the park for first Friday Nice and quiet even though very close to the little uptown area and a less than 5 minutes drive to the school. Super clean Great amenities super nice hosts easy to get in and out of I would recommend.

This is the second year in a row that we've spent our Aspen ski vacation here because it is so cozy, convenient and has everything we might need away from home. We love the fireplace, heated bathroom floors, high ceiling, washer/dryer, open floor plan and super comfy bed. It is a short walk to the restaurants in downtown, neighborhood park and a paved multi-use path. The owners were super easy to contact with a time-sensitive question I had and have the house intuitively organized complete with helpful labels and directions. We highly recommend this house to top off the great skiing and outdoor activities nearby.

We thank the owners for hosting us. This is a 5 star property and we hope to stay again when we are back in Carbondale. The hosts are kind, easy to communicate with and very helpful. The amenities at the place are top notch. If I were to nitpick, the quality of the mattress/bedding, the sofa in the living room could use an upgrade in the near future. Fellow guests - please follow carefully all the instructions on how to use the heating system and other appliances and there won't be any issues. The place kept us warm n cozy.
