About this cottage rental
Nestled in South Haven, this lovely cottage for $220 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Just a short walk 300 feet to two beaches and less than a mile to downtown. This cottage is located behind the house on North Shore Drive. The two bedroom cottage is great for family of four or 5, 2 adults and 2-3 kids.The cottage is located on 'The Golden Mile' which gets it's meaning from a beautiful beach that you can walk for miles and sunsets that are unbelievable. South Haven beaches were rated as one of the top 10 beaches in the Midwest by the Chicago tribune. The cottage is located across the street from lake Michigan and between two public beaches that are approximately a half a block away. The cottage was recently remodeled for summer or winter. The cottage has heat, air-conditioning as well as ceiling fans to keep you comfortable. A patio in front of the cottage with table and chairs and a weber charcoal grill is a great place to barbecue or just relax. There is a yard with a fire pit and plenty of firewood, which is shared by another cottage and the main house. With various activities in the area, there is plenty to do. From boating, biking, golfing, wine tasting, art fairs and plenty of antiquing throughout the year. We are just a short walk to downtown for shopping or dinner. We provide off street parking for one car with additional parking on the street. Linens are provided, but you will need to bring your own towels for bath and beach. We are pet and smoke free. The three beds and full kitchen were great for our family of four. We love exploring on foot, and the mile walk into town provided wonderful scenery this October weekend. Proximity to the beach for the cost will be hard to beat.

Great location
We took our 11 month old and nearly 3 year old to South Haven for a long weekend. Since the kids are tiny, we gave each their own room, and we slept on the fold our bed so we could enjoy a drink and tv.
The place isn’t the biggest for a family of 4, but we didn’t plan on spending much time other than meals and sleep there.
It’s a short drive to a beach with a playground and a short walk to more beaches. When you’re done at the beach, the backyard is great to relax and wind down.

My husband, a grandson , and myself enjoyed a relaxing weekend, exploring Lake Michigan’s shoreline. It was so nice to have a cozy, warm cottage to spend time in.

We had a great time here. The property is nice and very clean. It is close to the beech and the distance is easily walkable even for a couple of middle age woman. (We go on a Halloween vacation yearly and are now in our mid fifties.) It was an easy drive from the property to areas of interest such as the light house. The owner had local travel guides and other info on area happenings which was very nice. We missed the part in the information about bringing our own towels and toilet paper, maybe because we are getting old, but we travel alot and this is the only place we have had to bring towels. (I travel for my job and I have never heard of this, although sadly have been places I want my own linens but it has never been a requirement) You also need your own shampoo, soap, ect so plan accordingly. The only other problems we encountered was this owner has other rentals in the same location so be aware of which one you book, we thought we had a deck but this was a different cabin. The beds were very uncomfortable, they made horrible squeeking noises when you sat or changed positions so that is the only real complaint we had. All in all a great stay and nice place to be. The owners were very attentive and answered questions very promptly. They were even very patient in explaining about the towel situation we should've gotten from the information they sent.

Weekend Girls Getaway
I rented this adorable cottage with my two friends so that we could relax and enjoy a weekend together in beautiful South Haven. The location was perfect for us to walk to the beach or check out the action in town. There was ample space and we were very comfortable!

Cute Cottage
We loved how close the property was to the beach. We were easily able to walk to two different beaches, which was awesome. We were an easy drive to downtown South Haven and numerous wineries/orchards in the area. The cottage met all our needs, it was a bit odd to need to bring our own TP & towels, but everything else we needed was in the space.

Great Week 8/21-28/2021
Great time at Anton's cottage. Close to beach. Very clean. Even though there are three units on property, this unit has it's own little privacy corner w/table and chairs to cook out or sit and relax. Not my first time there and not my last. Thanks Deb and Gary.

Wonderful space and location!
This was the perfect location to walk to town and plenty of space in the rental! It was very clean and the owners were super helpful prior to our arrival which made our stay great!

Great getaway
I had a wonderful stay at this property! We had a big storm blow through our first night there which knocked the power out in the area. I texted Gary at 3:30am about the situation and he replied right away. He also checked in on us later that morning to ensure that we had power and had everything for our stay. I would highly recommend this property to stay at!

Location, Location, Location
If you love the beach, this is a great property. There are two beaches close by, maybe a minute's walk. Oak Beach is rather small, but Packard park was a good size. If you want something bigger, north beach is maybe a 5-minute walk. This is a little cabin in the back yard, and there is two other cabins/house on the property. You def have your privacy, but this could be an issue if you the other guests are loud. We did not have this issue! There is a 10 PM-10 AM quiet time. All in all, we would definitely go back. Check this place out, especially if you a beach bum!

Everything was exactly as stated in the description.
It felt like a small efficiency apartment. Neighbors were close, but we didn't mind. We only slept there. The beach was very close, and the A/C worked great (until the town lost power). Overall a great stay.

Antons Cottage
We visited South Haven over Mother Day weekend. We used the cottage for its close proximity to Holland where we went to see the tulips. The cottage was everything we needed and a perfect place to come back to at the end of our day.

Beach across the street
Nothing beats the sound of the waves from Lake Michigan at this lovely beach cottage on North Shore Drive. Quaint and simple, the cottage has everything you may need to cook a meal, indoors or on the grill. It is small, don't be alarmed, but you'll want to be outside anyway. Be sure to bring your own towels and beach gear; the walk to downtown is actually quite a hike but the parks and beaches are close by. Highly recommend this rental!
