About this house rental
Nestled in Tisbury, this attractive house for $550 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Lovely, spacious, privately situated post and beam main house and separate guest cottage just 1.3 miles from Lambert's Cove Beach. Beautiful, grounds include deck with vine-covered pergola and gently sloping lawn backing up to conservation land with hiking trails. French doors to circular screened porch off dining room. Large semi-circular balcony off second-floor primary bedroom with panoramic views of grounds and conservation land. First floor bedroom and full bath. Double height cathedral ceiling living room with floor-ceiling bookcases and piano. Gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances. Ductless A/C in every room. Many unique and charming features. Separate 400 square foot guest cottage includes 4th bedroom, A/C, sitting area, coffeemaker, microwave, full bathroom, its own patio and outdoor shower. We have implemented additional cleaning and disinfecting procedures recommended by the CDC, including disinfecting hard surfaces (light switches, door knobs, cabinet/drawer pulls, kitchen items, remote controls, etc.) and spraying disinfecting solution on soft surfaces (upholstered furniture, bedding, carpets, etc.). We have also supplied plenty of extra pillowcases, sheets and blankets. However, if you would like to bring your own bedding or use a linen rental service, please let us know. "We had a great time, The house is big, comfortable and beautiful. The master bedroom and sitting room, especially, are wonderfully light, and airy and pleasant. The furnishings are comfortable--great king-size bed! The screened porch is a great place to relax and the deck has a long table for eating outdoors. I don't think we heard a sound from the road or the neighbors during our stay. The garden and grounds are also lovely, but we didn't spend much time there because we went to Lambert's Cove beach every day. It's the best beach for kids on the island, with soft sand and calm sea. In the mornings it's almost empty. The beach is about six or seven minutes from the house by car--a bit too far to walk with young kids but probably 20-30 minutes for adults. The bottom line is, this is a great place and we highly recommend it!

The home was large enough to accommodate my large family. A lot of land to explore, watch wildlife from the large windows. We loved the large kitchen with all the amenities. Beautiful home 🏡

Very private and unique property. Well appointed kitchen with 6 burner gas range. Lots of light and very comfortable. Highly recommend if you don’t mind it being a little out of the way.

The property was perfect for our extended family visit on MV for a close relative's wedding. The property was comfortable, the screen porch and patio were great and the separate small cottage was a big plus. The close-by walking trails were peaceful and uncrowded and the beach was close by. Susan was great with communications.

Great house with lots of areas to be together, or not. Very private. Guest house was a plus. You hear nothing but birds there. Close to Vineyard Haven, Lambert’s Cove Beach. Well run and appointed, there’s even a piano! Do not hesitate to rent.

West Tisbury Perfection
This is our second time and we are coming back next year. The house is a great secluded home that has hiking/walking trails behind it and the best beach in MV a walk down the hill (it’s about a mile but worth it) The house itself is about perfect. It has a screened in porch/room that is great for reading or working, outdoor barbecue social area, large open yard, guest house. I highly recommend this house. Susan is very responsive, easy to work with.

Perfect getaway
Everything was great. The house is wonderful, the property is beautiful, the neighborhood is quiet and close to Lambert’s Cove, the trails were a huge bonus. Susan was very responsive and easy to work with. We are already signed up for the summer and looking forward to coming back.

A beautiful and comfortable house with a small guest house on the property. A five-minute drive from Lambert's Cove Beach, the best spot on the island for families with youngish kids.

A retreat in the woods
Our family enjoyed our week on island in Lambert's Cove. The beach is beautiful, and the house is a quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of Martha's Vineyard. It is still close to many amenities and farm stands, including The Woods, The Scottish Bakery and Grey Barn Farm. Menemsha is about a 20 minute drive, but the sunset at Lambert's Cove is just as beautiful. We would definitely recommend this vacation home!

Great house!
We recently stayed at this home and had a wonderful time!
Property is in West Tisbury which is such a great location to be in the middle of everything on the island.
House also had an amazing chef kitchen that we used every day. The house had a great layout for having multiple families especially considering the detached cottage which offers the opportunity for guests to spread out. I was able to communicate with the owner with no delay and she was very informative and attentive. We are looking to book this home again next year, we loved it so much!

Beautiful woodland walks in winter
Six birders spent a long weekend in early January at this house. The beds are comfy, the place far off the beaten path, and the house very accommodating. If it had been any colder, or the visitors any less hardy, the area heating might have been a problem. We can imagine it would be a lovely place to stay in the warmer months.

Perfect home-away-from-home
We all love this place...It was a pleasure to spend our 3rd year here in a row here!
The home is spacious and sunny complete with a chef's kitchen, outdoor shower and air conditioning. The property has trails leading to Wompesket Preserve and beautiful Blackwater Pond Reservation. (download TrailsMV for more hiking/biking suggestions) We also particularly love the easy access to Lamberts Cove...our favorite beach on the island!

Nice Place
We had 4 adults and 5 kids and the house/ cottage was perfect and comfortable. It was private and well appointed and located; cool trails right out the back door and short drives to sites and services. There were just a few things that would make it even better that we noticed: The cottage needs window and door coverings and to have the small leak in the roof fixed. The wifi signal only works well in the tv room and not at all in many parts of the property. We were there before the restrictions on beach access go in to effect which was great for us! But I think a better explanation of how to navigate accessing the beach than is currently available would be helpful to others. And, lastly, having shampoo and at least one blowdryer would also be good. Those are all super minor suggestions for improvement; we had a terrific stay and would stay there again.

LAMBERT'S COVE PERFECTION
My family and I live in the South and wanted to try something different. This property was exactly what we wanted, the house (& guest house) is more beautiful in real life, the place was serene and a perfect way to recharge for another day on the Vineyard. We were close to the best beach on the Island, Lambert's Cove, and only a 10 to 15 minute drive to anything else we experienced. We made lasting memories that I will cherish forever. You can not go wrong with this property.
