About this condo rental
Nestled in Lihue, this lovely condo for $203 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. The condo is beautifully decorated in Hawaiian style. On the main level is the fully equipped kitchen perfect for preparing at home meals or putting together a picnic for a day at the beach. The living room and dining room are comfortably furnished in tropical decor and there is a lanai for your relaxation. A half bathroom completes this level. In addition to ceiling fans, there is air conditioning in both bedrooms and in the living room/dining room area. Upstairs is the master bedroom with a queen size bed, beautifully furnished, and another lanai. A second bedroom has 2 twin beds, also decorated in Hawaiian style. The bedrooms are perfect for a family of 4 or for one or two couples. The master bathroom on this floor consists of a large walk in shower, lighted vanity mirror, hair dryer and a washer and dryer. Linens and bath towels are provided, as are an iron and ironing board. Stored in the Master Bedroom closet are beach chairs and beach towels for your use at the beach. Free WiFi service is provided should you bring your laptop or other electronic devices. There is a community computer available at the front desk for all guests to use free of charge. As you walk through the beautifully landscaped property, which was once a botanical garden, you will come upon the hilltop salt water swimming pool. At this location you will find two shared gas BBQ grills, outdoor shower and restrooms. Adjacent to the pool area are tennis courts and a shuffleboard court. The Greatest aspect of Banyan Harbor is it's proximity to Kauai's shopping center and central island location. You’re within walking distance to Kalapaki Bay, restaurants and shops. Full disclosure - when we got to our place, there had been a mix up and it wasn't ready for us, but I am not taking off any stars because despite the fact that it was 11:30 at night, the owner was immediately available to fix the problem, they put us up for the night elsewhere at their expense while they cleaned it, and made sure that we were completely happy with our overall stay - and we definitely were. The condo is in a GREAT location, it's in wonderful shape, perfectly stocked and decorated. We had a lovely stay, it's walking distance to everything we needed, it's a quiet area, the pool is fantastic (though we spent most of our time at the beach a short walk away), and we had everything we could ask for. I recommend this place without the slightest hesitation.

Banyan Harbor is an excellent place to stay. The location is central to everything you'll be doing on the island. The property is very well maintained and very quiet (except for the roosters of course!). The unit we stayed in was well maintained and we didn't experience any negative encounters. Banyon Harbor has everything you need. It's your home but on Kauai....all of the amenities of home, but a block from shopping, restaurants, and the beach. The staff are friendly and helpful with any question you may have. All of Lihue is just minutes away. You don't need anything else.

Property is close to grocery store such as Costco, Walmart, target, Starbucks, food trucks, and many local dining restaurants. It’s very center to everything you need and the beach.
The condo itself has everything that you need such as towels, cooking ware even rice cooker, boogie board, beach chairs x 5, beach umbrella, and beach toys for the kids. You really just need to bring your personal stuff.
There is a beach park across the street. Overall the location and the condo was great. Had a great time and created lasting memories with family.

The best thing about this condo was the fact that it was across the street from Kalapaki beach. It appears that there are permanent residents at this complex which may account for the general poor condition. We did not feel all that safe here. Spoke to neighbor renter who expressed same concerns as well as being unhappy with condition of their unit. Unit had nice laminate floors which were spoiled by dirty area rugs and carpeting on the stairs and entire 2nd floor. A home in a moist climate such as Hawaii should not have carpet. The tiny lanai which overlooked the parking lot also had an area rug under the table. Wondered what the point of that was. Advertised as having AC in the bedrooms and living room but not the fact that they work on a timer, with I believe a maximum of 6 hours. So if you are gone all day and come back after 6 hours the condo is stifling. Don't think it should be advertised as having AC when there is a limit as to how long you can use it. The furniture was dirty. Have no preference as to the type of decor a place has, but it would be nice if it at least looked clean. Stayed in Poipu for a week prior and the 2 locations couldn't be more different. Poipu has a very tropical look and feel, while this condo in Lihue is like being in the hood. When we arrived we were given a paper telling us the Wifi password was located by the TV. Could not find it. Finally we noticed there was a paper tacked to the wall in the kitchen with the Wifi name and PW on it.There were no kitchen towels and the management company responded quickly.

Me and 3 other friends stayed here for 8 days and it had everything we needed, including all the necessary beach gear (umbrella, beach chairs, towels, boogie boards, and snorkel gear). Kitchen was well stocked! Beds were firm but comfortable. AC in every room was so nice to have! And we loved having laundry in unit. We wanted to stay in Lihue so we could be equal driving distances all the way north Hanalei, as well as all the way west to Waimea Canyon, and were very happy with the location. I saw some reviews that said there was noise from the ship harbor or being close to the airport but I never noticed it at night and it never bothered any of us. The beach nearby was quiet and the water was calm there, if we didn't want to venture out for a beach day. Would definitely recommend!

The rental was absolutely incredible! It was clean, location was the best ever and the management was perfect. We were across from great restaurants, stores and a fantastic beach. We were within minutes of Costco and Walmart. Everything in the place worked perfectly. We did have 1 broken beach chair. We went and got a new one and was reimbursed without any troubles. I didn't look for reimbursement, but they wanted to. I was shocked how management/staff were so accommodating. The others around the rental were quiet at night and very friendly. Without a doubt when we go back to Kauai, we will be staying there again!
