Good but check in check out times are not great. I had to wait until up to 6pm and leave by 9am. I have never seen this before. Although I like the property and the host was lovely... , check times like that really would put me off a bit. Very inconvenient! The host Sophie was really great.

The property is well located, in the heart of Val Thorens, with easy access to both the slopes and the town itself. The building, albeit a bit dated, was suitable for purpose, and you can tell the hosts have made a real effort to decorate the apartment as it did indeed feel quite cosy and warm. The apartment also came with all the amenities (and more) you could have asked for (kitchen, pots, pans, towels, dishwasher, tablets, etc.)
The beds were really comfy, the property was clean, and it was great value for money (in my opinion). Picking up the keys was super easy, and the property was only 30s walk away from the agency, which is conveniently next to the bus station. It was absolutely seamless to gain access.
I cant recall if the property was described as "Ski-in, Ski-out", however, I think I would accurately describe it as "Ski-in, walk out", as access is via a path to the rear of the building which you'll need to walk uphill to the slope. That being said, you can ski back to the rear door after your day on the slopes, as long as you haven't enjoyed yourself too much as Folie.
There's not a lot to really say. There were a few minor bits that could do with adjusting, but these did not materially affect our trip: the DVD player didnt work (the cable appeared faulty), the walls between the bedrooms are very, very thin (there might as well not have been a wall there), and the microwave-oven beeped continuously until we turned it off at the fuse. Honestly, none of these affected our trip negatively, but I highlight for the sake of the hosts to amend.

Sophie's place is amazing if you want somewhere central in Val Thorens with easy access to slopes, Le Board leisure centre and the shops. Parking in P2 carpark (our truck was too tall for P1) was great and we were able to unpack outside the building when we arrived. The apartment is small and cosy but we found it a good size for 2 of us and a toddler. It has been decorated beautifully and is much more cosy and comfy than many of the apartments in the area/same building.
