The man was incredibly nice and very informative about passcodes and facilities. The location was amazing, and the people were nice at the hostel. There was a great room that you could stay in on the first floor, past checkout time, which included drinks. The owner was also cool and spoke Japanese, English, and a little bit of Mandarin.
My only complaint would be the inconvenience of having sinks and showers on a different floor from where I was staying. As it was a communal space, the cleanliness was a little lower than in other hostels I had previously been to. Besides that, amazing stay.

The staff was very kind and helpful. And all the rooms were clean and quiet. The location was also very central and within walking distance of many attractions.
Other than the bunk bed getting a bit warm at night, but that was easily fixed with opening up the curtain a bit.

The location is great—about a 10-minute walk from the subway and shopping malls—and the staff are friendly. It’s also helpful that luggage can be stored after check-out.
However, having all showers and washrooms on the second floor was inconvenient. The price was extremely high for Nagoya, likely due to the upcoming Asian Games, but it did not match the quality. Cleanliness was disappointing: there were hairs on the bedsheets, stains on the mattress, and even what looked like blood or oil marks on a quilt cover. This was quite unpleasant and affected our stay.
