About this house rental
Located in Louisville, this charming house for $1,500 per night is a great option for your next vacation. PLEASE READ: We love to know why our guests are coming to Louisville -- please tell us a little bit about your group when booking. Note that the property will only be able to be used by the group staying at the property. Please do not book if your intent is to invite anyone outside of your group to the home. We are sorry, but we are unable to accommodate wedding groups or BACHELOR/BACHELORETTE parties. A note about Derby bookings: Stonecote rents for a flat $30,000 fee for the week. You may arrive any day during Derby week and depart on Sunday following Derby. Price will be adjusted to reflect this rate when accepting the booking. Derby bookings are non-refundable. Please send an inquiry if interested in the rental of Stonecote for the week of the Derby. Welcome to STONECOTE, a 5-acre estate built in 1920. It is fully updated and professionally decorated. It has 7 bedrooms and sleeps 16 in beds. The main house features a gourmet kitchen with butler's pantry featuring 2 refrigerators, 2 wall ovens, 3 dishwashers, a Viking gas cook top, wine cooler and Carrera marble counters. The living room features multiple comfortable conversation areas, an antique baby grand piano and wood-burning fireplace. The large dining room can accommodate your entire group. Also, the large sun room offers an additional, less formal gathering space, and has a 64" TV. The pool house features an additional full kitchen, seating area with 64" TV as well as another bedroom with ensuite bath. Room 1 (first floor): King bed with ensuite bath + sitting room Room 2 (second floor): King bed with ensuite bath Room 3 (second floor): King bed with ensuite bath Room 4 (second floor): Queen bed, Twin bed (shared bath) Room 5 (second floor): 2 Queen beds (shared bath) Room 6 (second floor): 2 Twin beds (shared bath) Room 7 (pool house): King bed with ensuite bath The 50' x 25' saltwater pool, is surrounded by mature perennial gardens and has a baby pool (pool is open seasonally, early-May to mid-September, depending on weather). Pool is not headed but should be pleasant during the summer. High quality Frette bed linens and towels adorn each bedroom and bathroom. House is stocked with shower products (soap, shampoo, conditioner) bottled water and a Keurig and regular/drip coffee maker (coffee pods, tea, creamer and sugar), basic condiments and spices, dishes, utensils, pots/pans, etc. Situated on one of the most elite streets in the city, in prestigious Seneca/Cherokee Gardens neighborhood just blocks from restaurants, shops and bars, and just steps from famed Cherokee Park. Easy freeway access, close to downtown and airport and just a short 20 minute drive from Valhalla Golf Course or 15 minutes from Churchill Downs. If you're not familiar with Louisville, this is the 'happening' part of town -- you'll be just blocks away from some of the best restaurants in the city. We ask that all groups observe "quiet hours" starting at 10pm every night to avoid disturbing neighbors. Note about weddings and special events/parties: While we are flattered that you think Stonecote would make a great venue for your wedding, rehearsal dinner, wedding brunch, bridal shower or special event, the property is not set up to accommodate these parties due to neighborhood and car restrictions. Unfortunately, we are no longer able to rent to bridal parties, bachelor or bachelorette parties. Check-in -- 3pm (if house is not booked prior to your arrival, early check-in may be requested) Check-out -- 11am (if house is not booked after your departure, late check-out may be requested) Restaurant and "to do" list will be provided upon booking. Guests are also welcome to contact a private chef to cook for them during their stay. City of Louisville Transient Room Tax (8.5% per stay) is included in base rates. Website collects additional state tax. Reserved bookings assume acceptance of the above guidelines.

Our group of 6 couples enjoyed 4 fabulous nights at Stonecote. The house is beautiful, spacious, and extremely well-stocked with everything guests might need. There was ample room to gather at the dining table, in various places in the house, and on the front and back porches overlooking the lovely grounds. We had lots of fun preparing meals in the enormous kitchen and butler's pantry. We took full advantage of the 2 refrigerators, beverage refrigerator, and ice machine. The 3 dishwashers made clean up easy! The location was perfect for us! The house is a short walk to the park with lots of green space while still being only 20 minutes or less drive from everything else in and around the city. Our hosts were helpful and responsive during the reservation process and welcoming, gracious, and attentive during our stay. We felt incredibly well cared for and knew that - if we needed it - help was just a phone call away. There are many reasons why this property has so many 5-star reviews! It was truly one of the very best VRBO experiences I have ever had. Thank you, Lisa and Keith!

Beds were all very comfortable, kitchen was wonderful, and the salt-water pool with the fans to sit under was perfect. Multiple large game and sitting areas. We will definitely consider renting this again.

We own a wedding venue and also rent out a Manor House for our guests and learned some things to do for our guests from Lisa and Keith.

We had a wonderful weekend with two families on this beautiful property! It's convenient to almost everything, yet the neighborhood is peaceful and quiet, surrounded my other elegant homes. We had a lot of fun in Louisville, but our favorite memories are just hanging out at the house together. We only wish the pool had been open, but it was still a litttle too chilly!

Not only was this property beautiful, but it was the perfect spot for our family get together. Stonecote is a beautiful and extremely comfortable home for our extended family. We had 14 people ages 13-83 staying over Christmas and we all appreciated the excellent beds, fully equipped kitchen, grand spaces to gather and multiple rooms for retreating. We had an amazing few days at Stonecote with our group of friends. Our group was in town for a football game and a couple of days on the Bourbon Trail. Lisa and Keith communicated beforehand with details and answered questions during our stay promptly. The home was well stocked and beautifully decorated with everything we needed during the trip. Multiple refrigerators, dishwashers and ovens made the kitchen ideal for cooking and gathering. The location in a quiet neighborhood was great and within 20 minutes of the airport and downtown.

This is a wonderful home for a large family in a beautiful setting. It is clean and comfortable and we could not have ask a for a better place to gather with our family! I highly recommend this home and hope we can stay here again.

I cannot begin to express how perfect our stay was in Louisville and in this gorgeous house! The house is beautiful! We had 6 couples in Louisville to celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday and hit the bourbon trail. House was perfect! We all enjoyed the pool, the pool house, watching the deer in the yard, the well equipped kitchen, sitting on the beautiful front porch and the comfortable private bedrooms. The house is very clean and is in a perfect location. We have a very particular group and no one wanted to leave! Thank you to Lisa and Keith for being incredible hosts and for helping make it a trip that will remembered for a long time! We hope to be back again.

This was the perfect size for our large extended family celebrating a few 80th birthdays. The property was spacious and the added accommodation from the pool house was just perfect for everyone to have their own rooms. The beds were very comfortable. We did have a few issues but we communicated them to the owners and they were quick to respond and address our concerns. They were very friendly and easy to communicate with as they lived just a short distance away. The location was perfect for our group to go on distillery tours, museum tours and Churchill Downs.
It was also a great house to use the pool, play games and cards and cook all together as it accommodated our large number without feeling crowded. The weather was just perfect during our stay.

We absolutely loved our stay. House was perfect for our work group of 10. The kitchen was amazing and had all that you need and more. Plenty of room inside to have our meetings and relax. Outdoor area is fantastic. We saw lots of wildlife and the grounds are large and lush. We went for a walk in the neighborhood down to a beautiful park. Can’t say enough about this house. Communication with owners was seamless. Great base for our bourbon tour as well!

Our stay was amazing and hosts were great. We were there in the winter, but in the summer it would be amazing with the pool. The house is big enough for 3-4 families to share. There were deer in out backyard the whole time. Property was clean. Will definitely stay again
