About this house rental
Situated in Galveston Island, this charming house for $295 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Don't let your time here feel like it is 'Wasted Time.' As soon as you walk in the front door, all your worries will melt away and you can focus on the important things - grilling, fishing, swimming, and relaxing. Our house enjoys beach views from the front steps and the back balcony. Gaze off the back balcony to a tranquil pond with a sparkling fountain. Our house is located at the beautiful Pointe West resort on the west end of Galveston Island. Pointe West is a master planned development with private beach and is a one-of-a-kind location on the island. Our house is less than a 5 minute walk to the beach and we are a 20 minute walk to the Beach Club, or a 2 minute drive in the golf cart. The Beach Club is truly a resort, with pools, a lazy river, hot tub, nature walk, restaurant, bar, fitness center, etc. The Beach Club charges $25.00 per person (4 and older) for the length of your stay. YOU WILL ONLY BE ABLE TO PURCHASE 9 WRISTBANDS. 'Wasted Time' is designed to make you and your family comfortable. Cable TV and a DVD player are in the living room, the master bedroom, and the bunk bedroom for your enjoyment. All TV's are also equipped with Netflix. You'll find wireless high-speed internet and long distance calls in the US at no extra charge. Feel free to pack light, we have a washer and dryer for you to do a quick load of laundry. ***PETS STAY FREE*** Downstairs in the garage you will find everything you need for the beach; chairs, canopy tent, boogie boards and a wagon to take it all with you. You will also find a patio underneath the house complete with picnic table, chairs, hammock, and a charcoal grill for you to enjoy. All you need to do is bring yourself, we have the rest taken care of. For those of you with small children, we also have a stroller and pack-n-play for your convenience. We also have a 6 passenger golf cart that IS INCLUDED in your rental rate. Please feel free to use it to go to the Beach Club or to explore Pointe West. **NOTE: the golf cart CANNOT be driven on the beach!** Seven Seas Grocery Store is the closest fully stocked grocery store and is 7 miles from the house. The Strand, Pleasure Pier, Academy Sports, Walmart, Randalls, and the rest of Galveston is approximately 30 minutes from the house. *NOTE: I have no sub-agents renting my property for me and you will only deal with me. Rent with confidence if you are renting from me through VRBO or Homeaway.

Enjoyed our stay, everything we needed was there, short walk to the beach and a short drive to the pool. They had a golf cart on site but we didn’t use it. House was clean and cozy. Will stay again if we get the chance.

We found the property was in a great location with planty of distance from the city. The hrom was nicely set up with everything you could use for your stay at the beach. Overall it was a great experience and we would stay here again.

It is on the far side of the island, so it really does take some time to drive down to the center-but the beach access is WAY better and the beach club pools are phenomenal! Loved the house itself, the owner really has taken the time to try and put everything you could possibly need for your stay together. Lists of restaurants, beach toys, wagons, use of the golf cart for driving around the neighborhood. It was a wonderful stay. The power went out in the neighborhood on our last night there and the owner was very communicative with us about ETAs they were receiving from the power company. Loved our stay here!

Everything was perfect! Exactly as described by the owner. I loved the proximity to the beach. One of the cleanest in Galveston! I appreciated the kitchen amenities, everything is there for you! Beds were very comfy. Lots of towels! My kids loved the golf cart and ping pong table. So clutch that you don’t need to bring any beach type things. It’s all there! Even a wagon! We will definitely come back. Ty!

We really enjoyed our stay. As other reviews stated, this home provides everything you’ll need for your stay and for the beach. The location is amazing and we really enjoyed the space under the house as well as the breeze off the back deck. When we had questions, Morgan was quick to respond. The AC is awesome and the extra fans were nice at nighttime. The master bed and bunk beds were very comfortable. The beach, which is super close, is the best I’ve seen in Galveston. The beach club pool was just okay (very murky and needed a good cleaning). We hope to come back again soon!

This was our second time staying at the property in two years. We love the location in proximity to the beach, amenities, pools, and floor plan. The golf cart and ping pong table are an added bonus! My family had a fantastic vacation this week at Wasted Time. The property was the perfect size for our group. The proximity to the beach and the pools made it very convenient for us to plan our day. Our granddaughters loved sleeping in the bunk beds. The property is fully equipped with everything a family needs to maximize their vacation time. A golf cart to move around the property, a plethora of beach toys, a canopy, beach chairs, a grill, and many other items that families can utilize to have great fun. We are planning a return stay next Summer.

We had a great time! The weather was not bad for the first week of May and both pools were fun! The lazy river one was heated and we barely saw anyone else. One weekday we pretty much had the entire beach to ourselves. The house is the perfect location for relaxing and taking things slow with a quick walk to the beach and a short trip to the pool. The house was clean, quiet, comfortable and had everything we needed. The kids had a blast!

Lovely home- we’ll taken care of and owners thought of everything and had great communication. Our teenage son loved having a golf cart to take to the gym. A little too cold for swimming while we were there but was still plenty to do!

The house was great! The perfect space for a small group. It had literally anything you could think of. So many amenities. I even found a step stool after I had brought my own. Communication with the owner was great as well. We’d absolutely stay here again!

This house came with everything you can think of to make for an enjoyable stay with both family and friends. Golf cart to enjoy! Sippy cups for those forgotten! And tons of indoor and beach toys to enjoy for rain or shine. This property is also on the quieter end and has a fishing dock right outside the back. Will definitely be back!! Host was amazing and accommodated a late check out for our sons birthday too.:)

The location of this beach house is great. The golf cart is convenient. The Beach club access and pools are wonderful. The beach is nice and clean. The house... needs some work. There are some issues that need to be addressed and we made Morgan aware of them. Hopefully they will be resolved soon so future guests can 100% enjoy their stay.

We had a wonderful few days at this beautiful beach house. It was a short walk to the beach and they provided beach chairs, toys, golf cart, grill, plenty of kitchen / bathroom / bedroom amenities, and so much more. The kitchen was very well stocked and the beds / pillows were very comfortable. The owners were very quick with communication as well, e.g. dryer quit and owner had a repairmen out the next day. This is our 2nd trip to Galveston and first stay at Pointe West beach houses and we would definitely come back! Thank you for and very enjoyable few days.

Small and cozy. Perfect for our family of 5. String lights weren’t working, so we couldn’t enjoy the outdoor area at night— hopefully the owner will fix that issue. I do wish it was closer to the Seawall and all of the restaurants and shops, but the beach club is nice, so that’s definitely a perk. The golf cart made it super easy to get down to the pool or beach. Garage was stocked with tons of toys, a wagon beach chairs, etc,. Overall it was nice,

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Property was clean and well maintained. Kitchen was well stocked. I agree with previous reviewer who mentioned soft beds. I would describe the beds as ultra plush and soft. Lots of fun toys and games in garage and house. Loved access to the clubhouse amenities. Beach was clean and and easy short walk.

Our family LOVED staying at this beautiful property! They literally had everything there! I read that before in the reviews but in typical mom mode I still packed way more than I needed. Seriously, they provided all of the necessities for the beach (towels, TONS of beach toys, wagon, canopy and beach chairs). We loved having the golf cart as well and it was a huge plus. There is a separate golf cart path through the property that also goes to the Pointe West beach club pool. This house is also steps away from the beach. I really couldn’t say enough good things about this property and the way the owners communicated with us and kept the property immaculate. Thank you for allowing our family to stay there and for making it seem like home.

We loved our 3 night stay at Wasted Time. We were traveling with 3 small children (5 and under) and the house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and for beach fun. It was so great to not have to pack the beach essentials like chairs, toys, canopy, etc and the inclusion of the golf cart made it so easy to get everything to the beach and back. The house itself was clean, comfortable and well stocked with anything we needed and even some fun games we could play. Traveling with small kids is not easy, but the owners having all the “gear” here made it a bit easier!
We loved our stay and hope to return someday!

It was convenient to ocean and the golf cart was a big plus to drive around Pointe West, go to pools, etc. House had everything we needed from beach chairs, canopy, grill, kitchen utensils, etc. plus, this was the first time we brought our dog along and she loved it. Owner was very responsive and helpful. We would definitely go here again.

The name of the house is "wasted time", but it is quite the opposite. This beach house is perfect! Very comfortable beds, decorated nicely. Quiet, beautiful, easy access to the beach. Teens loved the resort pools and grounds. The golf cart was a cherry on top. If we stay in Galveston again will definitely try to return to this property.
