Here you will be able to Relax and Forget the World, yet be Close to all the local Amenities-. Our Cabin is only 15 minutes from Charlottesville, where you can enjoy some of the TUCKEDarea's finest in Dining and Entertainment. Along your way to Deer Ridge you will go past such sites as Carter Mountain Orchard, The Michie General Store, The Michie Tavern, Thomas Jefferson's Monticello, James Monroe's Ashlawn/Highland and of course, some of the area's finest wineries; Trump, Blenheim, Mount Ida and Jefferson. Located only 15 Minutes from UVA, 30 Minutes from the Blue Ridge Mountains for Hiking, Skyline Drive for Breath-taking Views, 10 Minutes to the center of Scottsville for Water Rafting/Tubing or Fishing on the James River and 40 Minutes to Wintergreen for Skiing. This property has EVERYTHING!! Anything you might need if you were living at your own home and the hosts have thought of it.
Adorable and cozy decorations with tons of charm. Quiet, peaceful surroundings, but also not far from the beauty and happenings of the Charlottesville area.
A perfect place to get away to just relax. Thank you to Bea and Rick for their attention to detail and comfort. We will be back.

Bea was an awesome host! I can not believe she is not a Premier status host! In all of my experience with hosts, and place I have been; she ranks in the top 3! Top recommendation for anyone trying to get away for the weekend. Perfectly located to historical landmarks like the James Monroe residence and Thomas Jefferson residence as well as closely located to endless wineries and the great place of Charoletteville. My lady and I had a great time!

The cabin is an absolute bliss! Quiet, scenic, and spacious. Cabin and surroundings are extremely well maintained. The host provided great hospitality (including a delicious fresh baked apple walnut cake) and made us feel welcomed. We enjoyed our stay so much that we are planning on returning in the near future. Highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Deer Creek. We especially enjoyed the 4 set of swings under the roof—very relaxing. It was a super quiet area with beautiful trees and yard.
The cabin was decorated with quilts, beautiful pottery and lovely antiques. It was obviously very loved by the owner.
The cabin was super clean with everything you could need.
It was a great vacation place for us.

This was the best relaxing getaway my husband and I have had. Bea and Rick are wonderful host that keep this property in top notch condition. They accepted our last minute booking, and greeted us with homemade brownies (the best). We enjoyed the swings in the evening along with a summer shower as we sat on the front porch. The kitchen has everything you could need, the grill was so clean, and the cabin gave us the much needed atmosphere to relax and unwind. We did a kayak trip with James river runners (great time) and enjoyed a glass of wine at Mount Ida vineyards. The location of the cabin is very convenient to all attractions without all the noise and crowds of being in town. We are looking forward to our next visit to the cabin.

This cabin is beautiful anc charming. Very room. We did not need the upstairs loft but it roomy and tall enough to stand. It is is a beautiful location with 2 porches In the yard is a covered glider. I wish we had had more time to enjoy the location!

The cabin is adorable! Beautiful woodwork and decorating. The area is serene and gorgeous. Only a half hour from UVA, and lots of vineyards as well as historic sites close by. Highly recommend staying here!

Bea's cabin worked well for us for UVA graduation weekend. It look us a little longer than expected to get to the university (28 mins) but the countryside is stunning and it was an easy drive. We appreciate Bea's kindness and flexibility with check in and check out. Thank you!

Bea was a wonderful hostess!! My husband and I were celebrating our 20th anniversary. Bea bought us balloons and made us brownies and peanut butter fudge. The brownies and fudge were delicious. Thank you Bea and Rick for allowing us to stay. We hope to return.

The cabin is what I had pictured in my mind. It is quiet, secluded, very comfortable and well stocked. I love antiques, so I love how it was decorated. Bea is a delightful host, she made us feel very welcome, she made sure we had everything we needed and very easy to work with. She made some nice treats for us too. We are looking forward to another trip in the future.

The property is superbly maintained and well loved. You can tell the owners really care about the cabin and their visitors. We stayed for a few nights to get away, relax, and celebrate my wife's birthday. The owner very thoughtfully baked my wife bread and and left her a birthday card. The surrounding area is absolutely beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay and will return.

This was a nice comfy cozy cabin. It was an excellent value and the location was close to some of our favorite wineries in the Charlottesville area (Jefferson, Blenheim, Mount Ida). Bea is an excellent host. The cranberry bread was delicious and the bottles of wine were a nice touch. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary so she also made us some peanut butter fudge which was also very good. The cabin was very clean and private. The stone fireplace is absolutely gorgeous. Only wish we could have used it. Bea explained that it had not been cleaned. We will definitely consider this cabin for our future trips to Charlottesville.

My wife and I stayed here for a wedding and it was a wonderful and quiet getaway. We could have spent the whole weekend just at the cabin. Has all the amenities you will need. We visited Monticello about 15 minutes away and there are many wineries around plus a short drive to Charlottesville

This is a sweet, country cottage in the woods, filled with quilts and antiques. It provides its own hiking trail! Bring your food supplies as you'll be about 10 miles from a grocery store.

Bea was a very good hostess and even made us a treat upon arrival. She was available and very easy to contact during our stay. Pictures of cabin were true to the Listing. Very remote and private location. A little farther from charlottesville than we thought it was going to be. About a 20-25 minute drive depending on traffic. Enjoyed the cabin! Very cozy and comfortable!

Deer Ridge Cabin was perfect! It is immaculate, we’ll equipped with utensils, dishes and cook ware. It has everything one needs for a relaxing stay away. Be sure to check out events at local wineries. We happened upon a wonderful concert at the Carter Mountain Mountain.
Bea is a wonderful hostess and the fudge and birthday cards she left when she heard this was a birthday celebration was above and beyond.
Deer Haven is most definitely listed on our favorite of favorite places and we’ll be back

Excellent, private, quiet
This was a perfect spot for us. Sadly, midstay, we were exposed to people actively carrying COVID and felt it was the better part of valor to depart and quarantine at home. Bea was most gracious and understanding and offered to credit the remaining nights stay on another visit (which she was absolutely NOT obligated to do since the abbreviated stay was in no part within her control and entirely our choice to depart). But the cottage is exactly as represented, Bea is a delightful host (and cook!) and I hope to visit again sometime.

The cabin and the property was well maintained. The cabin was decorated nicely with many county style decorations. The cabin was very clean and spacious for the two of us. The property had many nice areas to sit at and enjoy the birds singing in the morning. The location was close to everything that we wanted to go do.
