About this apartment rental
This lovely 2 bedroom condo is decorated with the ocean in mind. That's because you are directly on the beach with one of the most beautiful views you will ever experience. Private balcony with amazing panoramic views of the ocean directly in front and coastal views of lush green undeveloped conservation land to your right where you can watch surfers, drink your morning coffee, read a book, or enjoy a glass a wine. This vacation rental is your paradise away from home that allows you to enjoy the luxuries of a comfortable inviting home in a unique location at a reasonable price. Linens, towels, beach chairs, coolers, and beach toys are all included.
Luquillo is a seaside surfing village, a quaint town housing a variety of local flare pubs and restaurants...many of which you can walk to. A short distance away by car or foot is a supermarket and a variety of well known stores for your convenience such as Walgreens, Walmart, CVS, as well as fast food restaurants. Luquillo is home to many festivals and it supports the protection of two kinds of sea turtles that nest on Luquillo beaches. La Pared is located beside the condo complex and is known to be one of the best surfing areas in Puerto Rico. The nearby Kioskos include a number of great restaurants to choose from with ocean views. The El Jungue rainforest is a 10 minute drive away but can be seen from Luquillo.
Our condo is in a gated property with a 24 hour security person on site at all times. It has its own parking space as well. We are happy to accommodate special requests when able. Early check in and late check out free of charge when available. The property manager and cleaner also live close by and are available as needed.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The unit itself was decorated beautifully and was very clean, even though it is a little older. The living room/kitchen/bathroom doesn't have an air conditioner, but the ocean breeze from the balcony was lovely. The bedrooms stayed cool with the air conditioners in the rooms. The main square downtown Luquillo was fun and the beach was beautiful. The views from the unit are ABSOLUTELY breathtaking. I could have sat on that balcony all day. It is SO close to El Yunque and fun and lively kioskos where you can eat, enjoy the beach, and grab some souvenirs. It is close enough to San Juan to do a day trip. We went to Old San Juan and had hours to explore. I will say though to please, please be careful. My friend ran down to the main square around 8 pm on a Sunday night. It was very lively, cars and people all in sight, but she had to run from a couple of guys wearing all black and hoods who were circling her right. She pretended she was with a few locals and their families, explained the situation to them (luckily she is fluent in spanish and could do so), and the three men that were there said they saw the men and they absolutely had bad intentions...those guys walked her back to the gate at the unit....thank GOD. I would suggest to NOT walk the block down to the square alone or even with just 2 people. I know it may have been an isolated incident, but I wanted to mention it because I don't want anyone else to have a bad outcome!

The unit was great, very clean, well stocked the host was very responsive. We had a minor issue with the AC and the host addressed it after 1 text. Absolutely fantastic experience in the unit. Outside was a different story. The neighborhood is older and showing severe neglect. The property sits right on the beach which is adorned with graffiti and a little clubhouse built of trash complete with a sign that read, “this beach is for locals only”. The beach access is restricted by the facility from 6A - 6P. The elevator was new and hit or miss if it was going to work. The first night there we had to walk to the 11th floor carrying the luggage. I want to emphasize the unit itself was beautiful and perfect for a week getaway with my wife, but I wouldn’t walk around the block at night without your g*n. Again the parts of the area that were of issue had absolutely nothing to do with anything the property owner could control.
