This is a lovely unit with beautiful, cheery artwork from the late owner. Very tasteful. The landscaping is very lovely, the pool is spectacular and the bed is comfortable. The location is ideal if you can't be on the beach. It is only a short distance to "town": with restaurants and shopping and a short distance to the beach. Bus stops are nearby. The street is very quiet, safe and friendly for exercise walking. Martha, the on-site property manager is very attentive, available, accomodating and fun. We enjoyed getting to know her. We stayed here more than a month for my hip replacement surgery and recovery. It was ideal for that other than the bathroom is not real close to the bedroom. We hope to stay here next year when I have the other hip done. Here are the caveats. It wasn't clear to us and others I talked to exactly how this property is laid out and how shared the yard is. This is a lovely Hawaiian house carved into 4 units. This means the walls are only house standards for sound and the very lovely backyard with pool is only the size of a normal backyard shared by 4 parties. So you may be swimming in the pool while someone else is having a birthday party 25 feet away. Someone may be lounging in the shade near the hot tub 20 feet from your lanai while you are on a zoom meeting. We could also hear everything said at the table in the covered lanai of the main unit from our bathroom which suggests they could also hear our bathroom. The only windows to our bathroom opened onto their large, lovely covered lanai. Initially I did not react well to this situation but I am a highly social person and enjoyed meeting the others in the other units. They gave me flowers on surgery day! When 4 young contractors moved into the main unit my husband did need to have a talk with them about their loud movies and bom-bom music but they were respectful and immediately quieted down. The front unit and side unit have their own outside spaces and are not as open to the shared space as this one is. but they are not as big. I am glad we chose this one. Just be aware that this is the way it is and does it work with your personality or not? For me, it worked and we hope to go back. The other caveat is that the owner has very recently passed away which creates some uncertainty as to how the property will be managed ini the future. The large slab koa wood "table" is lovely but not useable and should be replaced with a table for two.

Perfectly located a short walk to Kailua Beach and to shops/restaurants. The unit was perfect for my husband and I - especially the little desk nook since I work remotely. Any questions or issues we had were dealt with quickly and efficiently. We will definitely stay here again! Thanks for a great stay!

This is perfect location within walking distance of the beach, shopping and dining. Remote working was facilitated through a small office space in the unit and great internet access. The unit and house in general offer everything a person could need for any length of stay.

Lots of rules, not a short term rental location so you are advised not to talk to any neighbor or inspector, dark home, little parking, many areas off limits, not enjoyable.

This is a relaxing hideaway very close to what may be the most beautiful beach in the U.S. The place was equipped with everything we needed. The pool was refreshing and enjoyable. Great place to stay away from the crowds.

We stayed in the Enchanted Lake room which opened up to the pool and spa. Although you do share the property with other guests. It still felt somewhat private and what an Amazing pool & wonderful spa. Every day I enjoyed one of the Best in ground Spa’s Ever! The tropical native plants all around were so Beautiful and the grounds were well maintained. We road complimentary bikes to the beach & also took advantage of beach chairs, umbrella, and a nice beach cooler for all our refreshments. One of the Best Beaches in Hawaii was just minutes away along with a nice local grocery store & lots of places to eat. Suzanne’s place has lots of extras & virtually everything we needed to make our trip comfortable & affordable. Oh and the WiFi was very fast and working desk area a huge positive as my wife and I worked every day right from our room for 4-5 hours before making the tough choice of which Beach do we go to today? Great overall experience for the money.

Loved our stay in Kailua. The stay was great and the owner Susanne is extremely nice and easy to work with. The backyard is gorgeous and everything worked as planned. We will be back hopefully soon.

Everything was perfect. The accommodation, the location but the piece de resistance was the quiet solitude of the tropical garden paradise with a small pool and hot tub. Comfortable luxurious garden loungers and a good read made for a relaxing few hours was a major part of our holiday.

YES we had a terrific stay at your wonderful residence. For us the location was so convenient to our son's house on Papalani Street. The privacy for us was also such a treat. It was good to be able to spend as much time as we wanted to with our family, and then come "home" for privacy, relaxation and a good night's sleep. The bed was so comfortable, the spa was a treat and everything else made our stay most enjoyable.
