Nestled in Southern Peninsula Region, this attractive condo for $213 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Beautiful and spacious, 1 bedroom apartment (65 m2) with a separate entrance, in this beautiful Oceanfront Villa. A perfect place to see the Aurora Borealis - Northern Lights (September through April) in a secluded countryside area without external lighting. Magnificent during the Icelandic long summer nights. A cozy house with character. It is located on a large private property with outstanding ocean and mountain view, and with a private beach. There is also a private Church on the property. All inclusive. Excellent WiFi ( fiber-optic cable). Hot tub / Jacuzzi. The house, and its beautiful surroundings have been used in film-making and professional photography. The property has been awarded three times by the municipality of Vogar, for architecture, exterior design and cleanliness. Located on the Reykjanes peninsula on the South West side of the island. The house is extremely well situated in a very quiet area by the water. Close to all major attractions such as the famous Blue Lagoon, (15 minutes away). The capital Reykjavik is 30 minutes away (downtown). Whale watching is 20 min. away. The Airport is 20 minutes away. This is a fabulous bird watching area. A truly magnificent place.

We spent a week in Iceland and this served as a great homebase for us. The host is extremely friendly and on-site, upstairs for anything that comes up. It's tucked away but both near the airport (20 min drive) and near the main town of Reykjavik (25 min drive), and it worked really well for our trips to other parts of the country. Being right by the water, we got used to the birds all around... and the host dog is super friendly! Our stay was a great example of Icelandic hospitality - thank you!

The sunrises and sunset and northern lights were amazing. The apartment was cozy and comfortable and we would will stay there again if we get another opportunity. Anna was warm and friendly and helped us plan our days for maximum use.

Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful sharing their house and time with us. Their historic home and location couldn’t have been more perfect for day trips to the Golden Circle or southern coast. I only wish I had had more time to spend in this idyllic place.

This apartment is wonderful, as are the hosts - the setting is beautiful, and well situated for exploring the area - we found everything we needed in the small town of Keflavik just a few minutes away - I would give this place 10 stars!

The apartment was comfortable and well equipped and our hosts were very pleasant and helpful. I only wish there was a view towards the water from inside the apartment but we could simply walk outside and all along the shore.

Midnight kayak = unforgettable experience
The word "amazing" is overused these days, but it really is the only way to describe this property. The accommodations are lovely, just right for a couple. But what really makes this 5-stars+ is the host family. Anne let us use her kayaks and wet gear and my husband and I went kayaking at 11:30 at night in broad daylight. It was an experience I will never forget. The house is in a great location for day trips by car to everything on the west side of the island - we were able to do a day trip to Snaefellsjokel National Park with about 2.5 hours of driving time. I highly recommend the property!

Beautiful ground level suite right on ocean - beautiful ocean views in the morning and sunsets at night. Very close to Airport and Blue Lagoon. Only a short drive to Reykjavík.

A Beautiful and Relaxing Retreat
Beautiful accommodations. Everything was in excellent condition. We spent 7 days touring Iceland and spent our last 2 days at this wonderful retreat. It was so relaxing and fun to take in the area along the coast and the local area. The host was so accommodating and helpful.

This apartment was everything we could have asked for, plus some!
I don’t have the words to describe how much we loved this place. Vogar is a beautiful small town, close to Keflavík and Reykjavík. This apartment is right on the ocean. The host, Anna, was phenomenal. She gave us suggestions on restaurants, talked with us about the Icelandic culture, and was just all around a sweet person. She also told us we could hike/walk wherever we wanted in the surrounding area which was great.
We chose this place mostly for the hot tub and the seclusion for viewing the Aurora Borealis. The hot tub faces North. So you can sit in the hot tub and look out over the ocean to watch the Northern lights. It was cloudy both nights we stayed so we didn’t getting to have that experience, but how amazing would that be.
The apartment itself was gorgeous...very modern and well done.
Make this a stop on your trip, you most certainly won’t regret it!

Real luxury and comfort
Very comfortable apartment with everything you could need for a relaxing and comfortable break. Anna and Birgir have thought of everything and they are a very welcoming and friendly couple.
Very high specification to the interior facilities and we would definitely class it as luxury. You do not want for anything and I could not think of anything that could be improved upon. The attention to detail is impeccable.
Slept very well on the comfy bed every night even through the heavy wind and rain we experienced.
The location looks superb as well but unfortunately for us we could not take advantage due to bad weather.

Perfect and charming
This charming apartment was perfect for our stay. Tasteful decor, very clean, wonderful whirlpool outside for viewing the Northern Lights and ocean. Good food nearby. Perfect
This was the perfect place to unwind at the end of our Iceland vacation. Anna and Birgir were extremely welcoming and accommodating. We are a family of four and were perfectly comfortable in this well equipped, tastefully appointed and spotlessly clean apartment. The views are amazing; don't miss sunset right outside the front door.
We stayed for two nights at the end of our nine day vacation however I could have easily stayed for several more. It's a great location for exploring all of southern Iceland from Snaeffelsnes to Jokulsarlon; all sights and attractions can be reached in a day-trip (some days longer than others, of course). Reykjavik is a quick drive.
Do not hesitate to book this apartment.

We have stayed at the Oceanfront Villa twice now
Our family of 3 has visited Iceland twice, and both times, we have stayed at the Oceanfront Villa. It is ideally situated between the airport and the city. It is also a short drive to the Blue Lagoon. The beautifully appointed apartment is on the lower level of the house with its own private entrance. It is in a stunning, rural setting right on the ocean with a private beach. It is easy to forget that Reykjavik is only a half hour away. The expansive property is meticulously maintained and is available for guests to explore. Don’t forget to look for eggs in the chicken coop! Birgir and his family are wonderful hosts who are welcoming and accommodating. We highly recommend including the Oceanfront Villa in your visit to Iceland.

The Perfect Place
Without a doubt, if you find yourself lucky to explore the beauty of Iceland, be sure to make the Oceanfront Villa a MUST stop on your trip! My boyfriend and I spent a little over a week on this beautiful Icelandic farmhouse property with private beach. Although the pictures are wonderful, it's even more majestic in person! Birgir and his entire family were incredibly charming and very helpful throughout our stay - it was so much appreciated. During our trip we even were able to witness the Northern Lights nearly 5 times - all of which were perfectly visible in "our backyard" due to the privacy and seclusion of the property. One night we even got to enjoy from the hottub. I highly recommend the Oceanfront Villa for your stay. You will not be disappointed - enjoy!

La parte esterna è sublime e la vista nei giorni di sole è meravigliosa. Otarie fronte casa completano il tutto. Estremamente raccomandato alle famiglie con bambini. DVD di cartoni e films in casa. La vasca idro nel giardino ed il Weber barbecue ti fanno sentire come in nessun posto in Islanda. La disponibilità dei proprietari è grandissima........veramente consigliata

Like being a guest of the family
My friend and I stayed in this apartment in February 2012. Cozy bed/blankets, well appointed kitchen, nice bathroom (no tub but we didn't need one), and a warm hot tub. Compliment that with fantastic hosts who went above and beyond (making us a delicious cake, advising on road condition information, and finely mapping out directions), and what more could you want? Great place to stay if you want to save a bit of money, rent your own car (the hosts helped with this, too), cook some of your own food, and feel more like a local. Lovely country and a great place!

A Truly Special Place for A Special Birthday
For my Husbands 50th Birthday we decided to explore Iceland and more importantly witness the spectacular of the Northern Lights. Something Gerry had always wanted to see and this looked like the perfect base to do both. We were not disappointed on either count!
The place looks great on the internet but is even better when you are enjoying it. Birgir & Anna have truly made this a home from home providing everything you could ever need with some lovely special touches that make it a cut above the rest (thanks again for the cake!).
We managed to see the lights on two occasions from the garden (using the shed as a shelter from the cold wind)....it was the perfect spot....with the lights of Reykjavik in the distance and the sea to the side. We even caught site of them as we were travelling back home through the city! Obviously this is all dependent on certain things: Is the Aurora Active? Is it a clear night? Birgir will give you some websites to check both of these. I have since found that you can also get an iphone app for that...just search for Aurora Forecast....it's free and shows you the map of Aurora coverage over Iceland!!
We also managed to do quite a bit of exploring from here to some fantastic waterfalls; Gullfoss, Seljalandsfoss, Skógafoss, Urridafoss - all spectacular. We are now tempted to come back and explore the rest of Iceland!
And of course the Blue Lagoon was just down the road...lovely!

A highlight of our honeymoon in Iceland
My new husband and I spent the first few days of our honeymoon in this lovely apartment and couldn't have been happier.
We were warmly welcomed to a beautiful, comfotable, clean apartment and quickly felt at home. The space was ample, the decor very stylish, and in the kitchen and elsewhere we had everything we needed.
The house itself is situated in an idyllic spot where you truly get a feel for what it means to live on the island.
From the apartment we were well situated for day trips, and our hosts couldn't have been more helpful and friendly with suggestions for how to best spend our time in Iceland.
We are already planning our next trip back to Iceland, and will surely make this one of our stops. Thanks again for your outstanding hospitatlity- our honeymoon was an unforgettable one.

Yes, as nice as it looks!
We stayed here for only one night at the end of our trip, but I hope to come back. It is perfectly situated, 2/3 of the way to the airport, but also 15 minutes away from the Blue Lagoon. My family of 4 was very comfy in this apartment hard by the sea. Birgir's hospitality was above and beyond - there was food in the 'fridge, maps on the table and a proud Icelandic host who was happy to help with any detail... A few tips: 1) there are lots of things to do on the peninsula west of Reykjavik - I wish we had more time for hiking and exploring. 2) this apartment allows you to really "nail" the blue lagoon - you are so close that you can either go first think in the morning (before the crowds) or later in the day (at 5pm - it is open until 9), after the crowds leave. Worth noting...
