We verbleven twee nachten in Cogent in Gelioya en hebben hier een heel fijn verblijf gehad. De kamers waren zeer netjes, ruim en comfortabel.
Een speciale vermelding verdient manager Kamal, die enorm vriendelijk en behulpzaam was en er echt alles aan deed om ons verblijf zo aangenaam mogelijk te maken. Toen we op een avond afhaaleten hadden besteld, bood hij bijvoorbeeld spontaan aan om samen met mijn man op de motorfiets het eten te gaan ophalen. Dat typeert de persoonlijke en gastvrije service die we hier kregen.
We voelden ons hier echt welkom. Een heel aangenaam verblijf en absoluut een aanrader als je in de omgeving van Kandy/Gelioya verblijft!

Notre hôte Kamal était très serviable et disponible à tout moment. Nous nous sentions comme à la maison. Un endroit centrale par rapport aux sites touristique. Un jardin plein arbre fruitier et d'épice.
Bon petit déjeuner.
Nous le recommandons fortement et nous reviendrons.

I stayed here at CoGent for a Longstay of 1month. The place is located in a peacefull surrounding with great view of the Hanthana mountains. Extremly calm and a good location. Kamal is the hotel manager and is always willing to help and provides excellent service. I can recommend the place to anybody who is searching to work remotly in the Kandy district. The rooms are spacious and clean, the bathroom is modern and the facility has a pool and big garden. A great location for those who a seek calm and peacefull place.
It is a little remote, but the service makes up for that. So no downsides.

Cogent House is set in beautiful gardens and very scenic views all around. We travelled as a couple our room was the biggest so far in Sri Lanka with great views of the gardens and mountains. Kamal went over and above as a host. Anything we asked was not a problem. He had dinner and drinks organised for us on both nights. He provided us with Sri Lankan breakfast 😋. He also organised a tuck tuck trip of Kandy and tickets for the kandy dance show. The house has a pool and plenty of places to sit relax an read. We would certainly come back.
It is a little out of town but it was our choice of location. There are plenty of tuck tuck.
