Located in Ocean Beach, this attractive house for $399 per night is a great option for your next trip. This private home is in an amazing Ocean Beach (OB) location – steps to the beach with great views and amenities. This recently remodeled 3 bedroom, 2 bath home on the 2nd story level features a gourmet kitchen with granite countertops. All the kitchen appliances and utensils you need for a relaxing vacation including: blender, coffeemaker, toaster oven and full-size oven, 5-burner gas stove and a variety of pots and pans. The kitchen also has a bar-height counter and stools in addition to the dining area table with amazing views of the beach. Watch the sunset as you dine. The master bedroom features a queen-sized bed, vaulted ceiling, and access to an outdoor patio, unique custom bath with tropical tiling, oversized tub and custom shower. The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms both feature tropical décor and queen and full-sized beds, respectively. 4th bedroom is a lockout available upon request with additional fee. This house also includes a private tropical patio area as well as a balcony off of the entryway and master bedroom. There is a washer and dryer in the unit. 1 off-street parking spot provided. For entertainment and business (if you choose to do any) this house features an HDTV along with wireless internet access. Nice quiet OB location, yet close to everything San Diego has to offer. With only a few steps to the beach you can’t beat this location – perfect for surfing, kayaking, body boarding – or just relaxing on the beach. You can even watch the surfer’s and beach action right from the dining room table - you may even see dolphins playing in the surf. With views from living room, dining room and kitchen you will never feel far from the beach. This house is an easy walk (just a few blocks) to the famous OB pier (the longest concrete pier on the west coast) and the main business district of Ocean Beach – Newport Avenue. On Newport you will find restaurants (ask about our favorites), antique stores, coffee houses, bars, bike and surf shops. On Wednesday evenings Newport Avenue features a Farmer’s Market where you can find local fruits, vegetables and flowers, street performances and food vendors. This property was perfect for our family’s Thanksgiving vacation! We had five adults and an almost-three-year-old toddler, and we couldn’t have booked a better place to stay.
The property is steps away from the beach and within walking distance to anything that we needed, including lots of restaurants, a grocery store, and a Target.
We arrived on Wednesday, just in time for the Farmers Market, where we not only picked up dinner for the night but also a quiche for breakfast the next day. “Farmers Market” really doesn’t do the market the proper amount of respect. The food options were above and beyond anything that you would see at a typical farmers market.
The property, itself, is spacious, and I really appreciated the size of the kitchen. Everyone had comfortably-sized bedrooms, and the pack-and-play worked very well for our grandson.
The mosaic work inside and outside is beautiful, and the view from the dining area is amazing.
I will echo the thoughts of others in saying that the largest drawback is that the parking is limited to one car, and parking in close proximity is not plentiful - even in the off-season.
Overall, we would definitely come back! Shoot, if this were my property, I would never leave.

The property is well appointed with all the necessary kitchen supplies, towels…. Fantastic location and view of the OB beach and pier. Would give an overall 5 star if the beds were all comfortable. The smaller room mattress needs to be changed (sagging in the middle). My wife and I could not get a good night of sleep on that bed. One of us ended up on the couch for two nights.

This is a very nice property that accommodated 5 of us comfortably. It has a nice rear patio space and a beautiful view of green space, the beach and Pacific Ocean. Checkin and checkout were seamless. There are several local restaurants and retail stores nearby so getting good food, coffee and souvenirs was easy. Our only complaints were that the windows hadn’t been cleaned recently, affecting views toward the ocean, and the house is in the flight path of the San Diego airport.

If you’re looking for a nice home to stay in for your San Diego vacation, look no further! This home is right off the ocean! Great views of surfers from the dining room table. There are tons of restaurants and shops within walking distance. There are chairs outside you can use to sit on at the beach. The home has everything you need to cook meals. The rooms were very clean and beds were comfortable. The master shower is huge and very beautiful. The washer and dryer were very nice to have so we didn’t go home with dirty laundry. I have nothing bad to say about staying here. It was better than we expected. We had a great time and I would highly recommend this vacation home to any of my family or friends. The owner, Susan was very quick with her responses. We plan to come back and stay here again next year.

The location was great. It was walking distance to the beach. Our first night we walked to the farmer's market, which was great. It was perfect to celebrate my son and mother's birthdays from.

Susan and I conversed over the week before the hurricane hit San Diego. She was very informative and great with communication.
The place itself if perfect if you want the beach and quick access to all the restaurants and stores that Ocean Beach has to offer.
The location itself was extremely well stocked. This included extra toilet paper, something most vacation rentals don't stock well.

Can not beat the location, the house and backyard is wonderful. Our host Susan was very informative and easy to get a hold of. We just wish that they're would have been 2 parking spots, but overall absolutely wonderful we will book this location again. Thank you Susan!

We really enjoyed our time at Susan’s place. It’s a lovely home and appreciated all the artwork. The view from the kitchen is fantastic, watching the surfers every morning with coffee was great. It’s in a beautiful location, easy walking distance to many cool places, shopping, food, etc.

This house has beautiful views and is in the perfect location! Susan was very accommodating and easy to get a hold of. I love that there was a bed for my young toddler and watching the surfers...and dolphins...from the window was wonderful!! We had a great time!

We absolutely loved this location and size of the house. It was very well kept and had all the essentials for my family. The kids loved having beach toys to play with and we all enjoyed being able to look outside at the beach as we ate our meals. We certainly hope to stay here again.

Location is wonderful! Views were breath taking! Susan was wonderful to work with! I couldnt find all the parts for the baby bed. I reached out to her and she told me exactly where to look. We had a great time. There was only one thing that was a little bummer! We have a 3 yr. old and 1 yr. old. We didn't run the larger fans, with worry they would put their fingers in or get hurt. It was a little warm. I didn't reach out or ask Susan but I'm sure she would have helped us! She was very nice and awesome to deal with! Had a great time! Thank you Susan!

We loved staying in this spot as it was a quick walk to everything we needed - cafés, restaurants, and of course THE BEACH! The artwork made us feel inspired and we all agreed we would be back!

this beach home was the perfect location and perfect size for our family. Steps from the beach which made it very easy to go back and forth and close to restaurants and shops The house was very week stocked with more than normal toiletries and pantry staples. Was not expecting that. Everything was perfect!

Totally fit the hippie beach vibe. Master bedroom was large and spacious with a great walk in closet. The sunlight in the huge shower was fantastic. We were able to walk to lots of places around town and made a few trips to Target for groceries which was really convenient. Super fun farmers market on Wednesday night with fire dancers. We easily drove to Zoo, La Jolla Sea Caves, Sea World, and Coronado. Had a great trip.
A few notes though if you haven’t stayed at a San Diego beach before just know the homes are close together with lots of night life that sometimes goes late especially on the weekends, there are people who are homeless who kind of live on the beach, and the airport is pretty close so if you’re not used to hearing airplanes you’ll notice a lot of them.
The host was responsive and we felt welcome. Felt like we got a glimpse into the local community since she’s owned the property for so long and clearly loves the community.

The view from the dining room window is EXACTLY like the photo in the listing! We really enjoyed watching the surf, the surfers and the people.
We felt very much at home. The mosaics add so much character! We really enjoyed the tile in both bathrooms especially. I loved finding the little fish in the master bath tile. The kitchen is beautiful, huge and well-stocked. The bed was great - we slept well. We love the windows and skylights - so much great natural light during the day! - also the stained glass window in the bedroom. The walls are covered with beautiful artwork. We were so glad for the large rectangular kitchen table! We do spend some time working and it was a great place to set up our computers. (So many places only have a tiny round table or none at all.) It seems it would also be a great place for game-playing. And the VIEW!!!!!

Not only is the house great, but the location is also fantastic! We loved exploring the beach and the Ocean Beach community. It has a fun vibe and cute shops. If you can, make it to the farmer’s market on Wednesday evening. It was so close to everything we wanted to see - Balboa Park, the zoo, the Naval Training Center, the Mormon Battalion site, the Old Town Trolley in Old Town and others.
Our only complaint is that the heat wasn't working and we were there when the weather was cool. She didn't send anyone to fix it, so we just wore jackets until the sun warmed it up in the afternoon.
We definitely want to stay there again. It's beautiful and we love the location!
