Situated in Portsmouth, this lovely docked boat for $440 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. The "Vagabond" is a newly remodeled 50' houseboat docked at Badgers Island Marina located in Kittery, ME on the Piscataqua River. The houseboat features a queen bed in both bedrooms as well as a queen pullout sofa. The Master bath has a head and sink while the Main bath has a shower, head and sink. The Galley features a refrigerator, sink, electric stovetop and microwave oven as well as a Keurig coffee maker, toaster, pots, pans and a full set of dishware/utensils. Also in the Galley is a dinette with seating for 4 as well as the bartop that has seating for 2. In the salon is a sofa, 32" flat screen TV and wireless speaker. On top of the houseboat is a beautiful outside deck where you can enjoy your view of the river while dining at the patio table that offers seating for 4. On site at the marina is a washroom facility with 2 full bathrooms and coin operated washer and dryer units. On the marina’s pier there is a full sized grill, picnic tables, Adirondack chairs, etc… Ice is available for purchase and there is free parking. All linens and towels are provided for a $35 fee. No smoking is allowed at any time on the boat, including the outside decks. No Pets are allowed - No Exceptions Please note that the boat does not leave the dock. This time of year the marina was extremely quiet and peaceful which was exactly what I was looking for. The property was spotless, cutely minimally decorated and updated and had everything I needed for my two night stay. I hope to return next year.

ABSOLUTELY fabulous. The location was PERFECT. We walked to everything in Kittery and Portsmouth. The folks at the marina could not have been nicer. They made us feel right at home. Suzanne was an AMAZING HOST. We highly recommended the boathouse and when you're sitting on the rooftop deck you will know you made the Best decision.

Everything was as stated in the listing, Suzanne explained everything well and the dock masters were very friendly and helpful. We had all kinds of weather and the boat did great including direct winds and rain during a thunderstorm. I recommend it to everyone.

We rented this houseboat for two nights in early August and cannot say enough about how wonderful it was! Clean, easy to access, super comfortable, and secure - both my husband and I, along with our two sons, really enjoyed ourselves. We spent a lot of time in Portsmouth, tooling around the old town and eating and shopping. We also explored Kittery and the wonderful lobster shacks there. Absolutely unforgettable!

We enjoyed our stay on the houseboat. The views from the top deck were great. The deck furniture was very comfortable. It is an easy walk to the towns of Kittery and Portsmouth where there are lots of fun shops and restaurants.

Well, we are already planning our return trip for next summer and I guess that about sums up my review. We loved every minute and hated to leave. The houseboat was spotlessly clean, lovely and well stocked with all the basics. It’s in a beautiful scenic area and local restaurants just a few minutes walk away on the marina road. Portsmouth is about a 10 minute walk over the bridge and Kittery outlets about a 10 minute drive. The best part for us was morning coffee on the upper deck and evening cocktails too. Beautiful views of the River, Portsmouth and the lobster boats coming and going with their hauls. Thank you Suzanne and the Marina staff for a perfect, unique and relaxing vacation. We will be back!

This houseboat has everything needed for a fun weekend and is within walking distance from restaurants on the island. It is a short walk to the charming area of Portsmouth with all its shops and cafes. Very nice to avoid driving/parking there. We had one sunny afternoon and enjoyed the sunset and boat watching from the upper deck. Would stay again!

The Boat and Marina Stay was more than we expected...The Manager was very friendly and welcoming, informative about the area regarding places to go and see! The Vagabond Boat was the one we stayed in! Good size for the 4 of us! Plenty of room, It was decorated nicely and clean! We had a swaying Good Time! 5 Stars* all around! Just Perfect!

We were two couples in our late sixties—really enjoyed the houseboat experience (our first). We easily walked across the bridge to Portsmouth—lots of shopping, sightseeing and dining options—and had a great dinner at Robert’s Maine of clam chowder, lobster rolls and fried belly clams. Elephantine Bakery is a must for breakfast and the best pastries we’ve eaten!

Property was great. Very roomy. Clean. Perfect location for walking into downtown Portsmouth, NH. No need to move the car once we settled in. Wonderful sunsets. Loved watching the boats going through the vertical drawbridge. Would recommend the experience.

Really enjoyed sampling houseboat life with my 2 teenage daughters. The Vagabond was fantastic! Great location with gorgeous views of downtown Portsmouth. Walking distance or easy drive to restaurants and shops. Friendly people there to help. Clean, comfortable and spacious. Kitchen was great, provided everything we needed and full size fridge was a big help. Beautiful water views in every direction, inside and out. We spent hours relaxing on the upper deck. Thanks to Suzanne. Hope to book it again!
