About this house rental
Situated in Swannanoa, this attractive house for $313 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. We can help you out with discount (10%) Biltmore Estate tickets if this is on your itinerary. A required rental agreement will be provided via SignNow and must be signed within 1 week to finalize your booking. Please notify the owner for prior approval before booking more than 2 weeks consecutive stay. Come to Clubb Mountain Retreat and enjoy a relaxing vacation in this beautiful home with views from every window. The house is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains at 2900 feet elevation on a 5 acre tract within a small mountain community containing only 8 houses on 70 acres. Privacy abounds and so does the wildlife. Tripod, only 3 legs, is our resident bear and seen quite often. Our location is less than 10 miles from the Biltmore Estate, entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Black Mountain and Downtown Asheville. The Ingles grocery store is 2 miles away. The home has 2 master bedroom suites, each with king bed, walk-in closet, ceramic walk-in shower, make-up table and double vanities. Each suite has direct access to a deck with outstanding short and long range views as far as 40 miles on a clear day including Mt. Pisgah and Cold Mountain. Enjoy your morning coffee and breakfast on the main covered porch and your evenings watching a magnificent sunset with 180 degree views. There is a gas fire pit to enjoy once the sun goes down and the cool mountain air moves in. The main living area has an open concept design with 19 foot ceilings, 1/2 bath and a gas fireplace (seasonal) with remote control. Enjoy a relaxing stay on the property or drive just 12 miles to downtown Asheville and enjoy shopping and restaurants in the 'Paris of the South'. Asheville has a vibrant arts culture and a booming craft beer industry. If a small town atmosphere is your desire, the quaint town of Black Mountain is just 9 miles in the other direction with eclectic shops and cafes. Spend a day at the Biltmore Estate or go hiking on any of the miles of trails just minutes away. Want to drive the Blue Ridge Parkway? An entrance is just 10 minutes away. The new Asheville Outlets are 17 miles away. Popular day trips are to Lake Lure/Chimney Rock (28 miles) and Waynesville (30 miles). Our house has beds to accommodate 4 adults. With advance notice we can arrange for a pack and play and high chair. The property is very convenient to the simple amenities with Ingles Grocery store, Papa Johns, Ace Hardware, etc. less than 8 minutes away. Coronavirus Statement: We would like to assure you that the health and safety of our tenants and cleanliness of our cabin during this virus outbreak is of utmost importance to us. We would also like to say that if you are considering a vacation during this period of uncertainty, why not a very private 5 acre environment away from crowds with a well stocked kitchen, beautiful views and wide open spaces nearby on the Blue Ridge Parkway and local hiking trails. We also have plenty of toilet paper! We would also like to let you know that we will gladly cooperate with all current and potential renters concerning our cancellation policy if you are personally affected by the virus. We do highly encourage that you purchase travel insurance if possible. There are grocery stores in our area that deliver to our place by utilizing the InstaCart App. We usually use Publix, Aldi or the Fresh Market. Inclement Weather: We are at the top of a ridge on Watch Knob and the view is worth the drive up. Our subdivision roads are private, gravel and well maintained. Our driveway is gravel with the final stretch paved concrete due to the incline. You normally will not need a four wheel drive vehicle. We reserve the right to cancel bookings if we feel that it is unsafe for travelers to attempt to get to our property due to inclement weather. We will make sure you get a full refund in these circumstances. We are sorry if this causes an inconvenience to our renters but we value your safety and our potential liability. Recommended by the Insurance Co; we have recently added 4 ARLO cameras to monitor winter driveway conditions and security during vacancy. These are exterior cameras only and there is no interior monitoring onsite. Our property has a lower level living area that is reserved for family only and is never occupied when the main level is rented.

Our family wanted to visit Biltmore Estate and found this house to stay in. Very nice house with nice accomodations. House has a wonderful view of course. Want to come back and visit during the fall. Would recommend 4x4/AWD if going during winter-inclement weather.

This property is fantastic! Amazing views, cabin is cozy and inviting, hosts are lovely to interact with and generous with what is provided to guests. We truly felt like we were guests in their home rather than staying at a rental property. Location is great. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

We had a great week staying in this gorgeous home. It is beautifully decorated, extremely clean, and it is stocked with everything you could possibly need. It is on a very private lot with absolutely incredible views. We were hoping to get to see some wildlife, and we were not disappointed. One day we had a deer right outside the back door and another day there were two bears in the yard. But the highlight of our stay was when there were five bears playing in the yard for over an hour! Even though the home is very secluded and private, there is a lot to do close by. We especially enjoyed the Biltmore House and Black Mountain. The owners were a pleasure to work with. We planned this trip very last minute, and they were extremely fast in responding to us. We definitely plan on returning.

The 3 of us really enjoyed the stay at Kim and Ricks VRBO Home in Swannanoa, NC. The home was beautifully decorated for Christmas and the general decorations are great.
It was also very close to a Grocery Store and Asheville.
We would definitely recommend this VRBO for anyone considering this area.

Everything that we hoped for. The house certainly lived up to our expectations. Wonderful view, tastefully furnished, very clean and extremely comfortable. Everything that we needed was there. It was like home, tailor made for us. We enjoyed exploring Black Mountain and the surrounding areas. We did not get to it all and want to repeat some of the experiences, so a return trip is already in our heads to dream about. Sometimes the mountains call, and they must be answered. I can not imagine a better place to stay when answering that call!

The cabin was exactly as described! It was super clean and had everything we needed for our 4 night stay. The pictures don’t do the views justice and you have to visit to experience it! We could have sat around the cabin with coffee, food and drinks the whole time just taking in the place and views but we did venture out once a day to see different sites, hike, and eat/drink locally. We enjoyed the small nearby town of Black Mountain. We hope to be back someday, but had a great first trip to NC!

We had a wonderful time celebrating our mom in this beautiful home! The location was easy for traveling to and from downtown Asheville, the Biltmore, and more. The property, itself, did not disappoint. There were many amenities provided that it made you feel like you were coming home each day! If we return to the area, we will book this home again.

Instead of the cat's meow, this is the bear's roar. The property and home are absolutely beautiful. The location gives you a feeling of seclusion but yet still close enough for quick trips to shop or grab dinner. The views are absolutely stunning. Also surrounded by wildlife, we saw a group of 3 bears come through property. Thrilling experience to see them in their natural habitat. It was a relaxing and fun family experience. We would definitely recommend and will plan a return visit in the future!

We were glad to have rented a sturdy SUV!

The house is a comfortable, well-stocked, two bedroom with everything you need. Beds, chairs, couch, are all comfortable. Entertainment (wifi, TV, sound, etc) is easy to use. Towels are plush. The kitchen is stocked well above average with every pot/pan/utensil you could ever need (including two different coffee makers!). The deck is spacious and overlooks dramatic mountain vistas. The attention to guests' needs comes from hosts who are good communicators and excellent hosts.
The real star of the show is the setting. The house is situated at the end of the approach road, and gives you the feel of wilderness escape. The views from inside, and especially sitting on the deck, are simply fantastic. The pictures do not do them justice - it really has to be seen in person. Wonderful mountains in all directions, valleys below. We spent a lot of time simply sitting, reading, and enjoying the views. But though the house feels separated and alone, it's less than 10 minutes to the nearest gas station, grocery store, and every other modern convenience.

The cabin is absolutely gorgeous and the views were stunning. It was so quiet and peaceful. It was exactly what we were looking for.
The cabin was clean, and had everything we needed to cook and clean up after ourselves.
Communication with Rick and Kim was great, they answered all my questions quickly and reassured me of my worries about mountain driving. (I was unnecessarily worried, everything was fine lol)
Overall, we were looking for a quiet retreat with great views and we found it here! We had a great time and we’ll be back again!
