Situated in Mendon, this attractive house for $283 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Our house is a magnificent, well designed contemporary located in the heart of the Green mountains. The location is ideal for someone who wants to experience towering mountains, or perhaps navigate the pristine, clean waters of lakes and rivers, but also benefit from the modern conveniences of well-paved roads, superior restaurants, swimming pools, and championship golf courses. After a hard day of skiing, golfing or hiking, imagine yourself soaking in an outdoor hot tub with friends under a starry sky surrounded by evergreen and birch trees with the scent of wood smoke from the fireplace. Situated on a ridge overlooking Killington Peak, it is in a private, tranquil setting but within walking distance of bars, restaurants and the shuttle. The house at 148 Birch Lane is very spacious [2,000 sq ft.] with a great room that has a cathedral ceiling with ceiling fans and 3 large skylights. It sleeps 8 people. It has 2 bedrooms with queen beds on the upper level and both bedrooms on the1st floor each have single or twin beds that can also be joined together to accommodate couples. There are 3 bathrooms and a laundry room. The bathroom walls are tiled with glass enclosed showers and granite counters. Also, there is a 6-person hot tub and a gas grill on a huge rebuilt outdoor deck that overlooks the Killington ski trails. It also has all the amenities you need to make your stay comfortable such as a game table, wireless internet, a DVD and CD player and a large, flat screen high-definition TV. The large eat-in kitchen is fully equipped with all the gourmet tools that you need. There is plenty of room for parking in the driveway. A new living room carpet has been installed, along with high quality living room furniture. The house has propane heat and a Russo wood stove that shows the fire through a large glass panel and adds a warm ambience to the interior. SPRING/SUMMER, FALL. A misconception about Killington is that it is a winter resort only. It could not be further from the truth. You will have access as my guest to a town recreation center located in a pristine Killington valley surrounded by green mountains. There you'lll be able to use a large outdoor heated swimming pool , tennis courts, and a baseball/ soccer field. You will have access to the Killington golf course and several miles away the highly rated Green Mt. course. Crystal and Echo Lake swimming is about 15 minutes away where there are sandy beaches, snack bars, and boat rentals or you could swim in naturally carved out pools in mountain streams. Shopping and site seeing can be found in Woodstock, Quichee Gorge, Rutland and Manchester. Other activities include hiking, biking, mountain biking on Killington trails, kayaking or tubeing the rivers or canoeing Kent Pond. Short day trips can be ,done to Burlington, Lake Champlain, Warren (Sugarbush, Stowe or Ludlow [Okemo]. Recently, Killington added a huge Activities/Fun park for the entire family that offers disc golf, a zip line, motorized mountain tours, bungee jumping, coasters and other amusements. Please respond ASAP as the house in in demand, especially during Winter weekends. We get a lot of repeat renters so the earlier you book a rental, the better. We stayed for a long weekend to hike Killington mountain trails. The house is immaculate and very comfortable in a great location close to everything. We especially enjoyed the hot tub after a king day of hiking. We will definitely return !

Location to all activities and tourist attractions is excellent, while providing peaceful surroundings. Adequate accommodations- 2 full baths & 1/2 bath, washer/dryer, full kitchen made for a comfortable use.

The house itself was good and we enjoyed our stay. We wish we had been told that just one small towel per person was provided and that there would not be any extra blankets. Luckily we packed extra blankets but wish the owner was more honest about the supposed towels that would be provided. Each person was only give one small bath towel so we would have packed our own since no hand towels or towels big enough to cover an adult or anyone getting out of the hot tub were actually provided.

Only 5 minutes from the mountain, this ski house was a terrific home base for my extended family. Communication with owner was prompt, check-in and check-out was seamless, and there was plenty of room for 4 adults and 3 kids to be comfortable. Some pans and dishes needed spot cleaning but overall the house was clean and everything worked as expected. The owner was even able to help out with shipping a teddy bear that accidentally got left behind. Already looking forward to our next ski trip!

We visited Wally's place early March 2022. Great stay! Home is located down quiet private drive, convenient. A little on the rustic side, but perfect for our ski trip. Comfortable beds. Nice 4 person spa. Wally great host: one morning we were on our way out to ski and a tree had fallen blocking the private drive. Wally got it handled quickly. Thanks again!

This is a beautiful property that is close to everything. Right off the access road. Private, clean, family friendly. I would definitely recommend to anyone going to Killington and needing a whole house to stay in.

We had a fantastic trip. We booked the house from Friday-Monday. Wally sent a message with easy check-in procedures and provided us with local information and helpful tips. The property was as billed — very comfortable, well appointed and clean. The kitchen was nicely stocked with utensils and ample cookware providing all that we needed to prepare some meals. The wood stove, hot tub and the close proximity to skiing made for a perfect 4-days with the family.

Wallys cabin is a gem, merely 5 minutes to the K-1 gondola and tucked away in a wooden enclave but within walking distance of the amenities on the Access Road. Immaculately clean house, lots of space, wood stove and hot tub made it all things a ski house resembles! Can’t wait to return next season!!

This house was perfect for our family. Very roomy and close to Killington Grand resort where we had to go for a wedding. The home is tucked in the woods yet close to the main road. Very beautiful area. Loved seeing little chipmunks and big Bluejays in the trees.. The home had everything provided that we needed.
