Situated in Waterford, this attractive house for $349 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. It's all about location! This three bedroom vacation home is located in the Pleasure Beach neighborhood with direct access to the Long Island Sound. The Reed House features its own private dock with three kayaks available for full use. Featuring a 10'x44' elevated deck overlooking Jordan Cove with fabulous sunsets. The Reed House features an open floor plan with two baths, gas fireplace, central air, washer/dryer and dishwasher. This vacation home can accommodate up to 8 people. The beach access from the immediate property is open to the public, providing a vast area of shallow water that is perfect for families with young children. The deck provides a peaceful setting for your morning coffee while watching the native birds start their day. After a long day at the beach, the evening sunsets make for the perfect ending to a perfect day.

We normally stay in Niantic for spur of the moment weekend getaways, but decided to go for a waterfront property this time. The house was immaculate, plenty of room, and steps away from a small beach. Sunsets were beautiful, and the whole stay was exactly what we needed to recharge. Garon was friendly, available, and attentive. We would definitely stay here again.

Garon, was very accommodating to our families needs. Always responded promptly to any questions or concerns that I had. Top notch Host. Would definitely rent again, next time we're in Connecticut.
The home is very beautiful, comfortable, spacious, and very clean! The family cooks really loved the spacious kitchen. They were very impressed with the knife set. :) I loved the awesome view from the kitchen sink.
The views of Jordan Cove were breathtaking. So cool to watch the tide roll in and out. The locals frequent the small beach along the sandbar. Seems to be a favorite. We saw several people fishing, kayaking, clamming, just hanging out. The water is shallow, so several people brought their dogs out to play along the sand bar. It was fun to watch. As we sat, cozy, on the deck, with all the comforts of home.

The home was everything and more in what everyone was expecting! All the rooms are spacious & decorated beautifully; and it was very warm and welcoming! It felt like being in a home away from home! There was plenty of room for the 6 family members who were there to attend the Graduation week at the Coast Guard Academy; which was only 6.8 miles away. The view was beautiful and so peaceful! The owner Garon was very nice, easy to reach if needed, and with quick responses. The only downside found, was no coffee or coffee filters, which could be a tad inconvenient for people arriving on flights late at night. Our family says thank you very much for everything, and we highly recommend this home to anyone who needs a lovely home away from home to stay in while in Waterford CT. Great property, lovely neighborhood, walking distance to Pleasure beach you can’t ask for more. From the swans to the New England Cottontail we had a great time without leaving the porch.

Overall we had a great family vacation. The house was set up perfectly and had a majority of the stuff we needed. The tv room downstairs was great for older kids that needed some space. Only minor complaint was the 2nd bedroom bed was a little uncomfortable.
The beach access was just the next lot. It was great during low tide. The kids enjoyed exploring. Only issues were people bringing their dogs without a leash and there were posts in the water. Pleasure beach access was a 3 minute walk but that was to the private section. The public section was smaller and there was no parking.

Warm and Welcoming
We celebrated Thanksgiving at the Reed House and couldn't have asked for a nicer place to do so. The house offers all the amenities you could possibly need and then some. The views was spectacular.

We kayaked and enjoyed the acres of sand during low tide. Being steps away from a very small beach means not having to deal with parking and crowds. The house is very clean and bright. The only “negatives” are not knowing about the in-law apartment with a tenant and uncomfortable beds. Apart from those, we can’t say enough nice things about the house, the location, and the hosts. Oh—bring binoculars—the birds are fabulous!

We were able to dig up clams right from the beach (to the left of the dock about half way up the beach mid tide was the easiest time to find them). Tried fishing but did not have any luck. Its really shallow there, hard to imagine much fish.
We did not swim at the house - the bottom is mucky, water greenish and shallow. We drove to the public section of pleasure beach (nice sandy clean), dropped people with stuff, brought the car back to the house and walked. Its about a 5-7 mins walk.
Sunsets are beautiful (lots of sand flies so be sure to bring bug spray). You have the entire beach to yourself with a handful of visitors. If you love to park your chair in the sand and relax, you will love it here!

Great place for a family
We had an excellent stay. The property is directly next to a small public beach that was perfect for exploring at low tide. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. It was a short drive to area attractions but peaceful at the house. Would recommend without hesitation!
