About this cabin rental
Situated in Lopez Island, this charming cabin for $277 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. The theme of this Lopez Island cedar home is Northwest nautical. The cabin is situated on 3 private acres with plenty of sunshine and grassy open space. If you're looking for a large, private property with lots of space to spread out and a gorgeous view, look no further. The cabin faces north and has a view of Swifts Bay in the foreground and Orcas Island and Mt. Constitution in the background. The view reminds you of the special place you are in the world; surrounded by water and islands. Swift’s Bay beach is a 3 minute walk from the lower property and Spencer Spit State Park is a mere 10 minute walk up the gravel road. The cabin is a 10 minute drive from both the ferry landing and the village. The floor plan includes two bedrooms, one full bath, kitchen, and great room with wood stove on the main floor and a sleeping loft, reading alcove, TV area, and ¾ bath on the second floor. The downstairs bedrooms each have a queen size bed and the sleeping loft has a queen bed and twin sized bunk beds. There is a port-a-crib available for the little ones. There is a flat screen TV with a Blu-Ray/DVD player. We have a modest selection of movies for your viewing pleasure. There is wifi internet access as well. Tons of puzzles and board games. The cabin has a large, wraparound deck for enjoying meals alfresco, listening to songbirds, watching deer graze or raptors soar high overhead. Adirondack chairs, reclining chairs, picnic table and a sun umbrella are on the deck for relaxing. The cabin is surrounded by an acre of grass for playing games or just having fun. There is plenty to do on Lopez including biking, kayaking, whale watching, fishing, eating local organic food or just relaxing and doing nothing at all. Property was perfect for our family with a beautiful deck and yard. Comfy beds and house was stocked with games and puzzles. Pans in kitchen (very scratched) and towels in bathrooms have seen better days (very rough). Kitchen could use clean sponges/ extra paper towels.

We loved staying in this beautiful and cozy cabin. I love that it’s within walking distance to Spencer Spit and close to town. It had lots of beds so was great for the kids. Kids also loved the great selection of DVDs and cozy living area.

Great headquarters for Lopez weekend
This is a beautiful, peaceful, comfortable place that was a great location for a weekend stay for me and my teenage son. It is walking distance to Spencer Spit State Park, and a quick drive away from other hiking spots and from town. The beds were comfy, and the wood-burning stove perfect for a rainy evening. Next time we will bring the whole family!

A sweet retreat.
Came out for a girl's trip with my mother-in-law and 3 year old daughter. We were delighted as soon as we pulled up to the property. It could certainly house much more people than us three, so it was quite luxurious to have all that space to ourselves. The cabin was completely set up with everything we needed to live comfortably. My daughter was thrilled with the amount of toys, particularly the train tracks. Rich provided good directions which was handy while we drive up the windy mountain road, as well as lists of restaurants and things to do around the island(s). I would definitely come back to this very special place. Thank you Rich for the lovely stay.

Hunker down with family
Overall impression is excellent. A couple of suggestions:
Overabundance of toys in one of the bedroom closets and storage of linens, etc. in the other with no rod made it difficult for guests to place clothing. Housekeeping should check that the guests checking out have done their dishes as we found many hot chocolate caked-on coffee cups on the shelf. Major plus was there are plenty of games to play for all ages AND the lawn was a perfect place to throw the frisbee (provided) and football for our teens. They did not miss their tablets!!!

Fun, cozy off season
The place was perfect - clean, great view, well-organized, and well-supplied with cooking and games and movies and blankets and everything you'd want for a stay. Nice big place for our family of 4, would work well for two close groups as well, or three in a pinch. Only suggestion would be for a water filter pitcher to handle the well-water system and some sediment in the tap water.

Open spaces
Loved the surroundings, privacy, nearby Horse Drawn farm and the Farmers mkt. will be back to continue to explore the island and its charms. Hoping for better air next time’

Will stay again!
This property was perfect for our family, Grandma, Papa, Mom, Dad and kids 6, 4, 2 and 5 months. First, the location is gorgeous with acreage, room to play and no worry of neighbors. The deer visited every day. We could quickly drive to our next adventure.
The house was perfect for us. The three older kids were upstairs in the bunk beds and big bed. There is also a cute reading nook. There are two bedrooms downstairs and one had ample room for the pack and play.
There is plenty of seating for movie watching and games and eating.
We only cooked simple breakfasts and made lunches to take on our hikes. We had take out for dinner.......so not much experience in the kitchen, but it suited our needs perfectly.
The owner was very easy to communicate with, and the instructions were very clear. The house was very clean with many supplies, games, toys and movies.
There is internet.
We hope to stay here again soon!

Relaxing spot
Great location! 5 mins from town and right next to Spencer Spit, but definitely private. House was great and expansive deck was perfect for eating outside and sunbathing. Kids loved the large yard which had daily deer visitors.
