About this house rental
Located in Old Hickory, this lovely house for $304 per night is a great option for your next trip. Great house extremely close to Old Hickory Lake(practically across the street) with Blue Turtle Bay Marina and Sam's Bar & Grill. Sam's is open year round and has indoor as well as outdoor dining and the marina has seasonal boat rental. The house is right in-between two major interstates, I-40 and I-65 and both get you downtown quickly. The Hermitage Golf Course, #1 rated public course in the state by Golf Digest and is 5 minutes from the house and has 2 great courses to choose from, The President's Reserve & General's Retreat. The Hermitage, home of president Andrew Jackson is only 4 miles away. As for shopping, Opry Mills is only about 15-20 minutes away and is also the location for The Grand Ole Opry and the Conservatory. We are also only 8 miles away from Percy Priest Lake & Dam(known for it's fishing) & Nashville Shores water park. It's a great house with 3 bedrooms & 2 full baths. The master has an oversized soaking tub & king bed. The two additional bedrooms each have a queen size bed and in the living room is a queen sleeper sofa. There is a community pool, tennis court & basketball court and the house backs up to the neighborhood pond. There is a grocery store and a few fast food restaurants in the immediate area as well a Mexican restaurant right outside of the neighborhood entrance. Please contact us if you have any questions. My husband and teenage daughter stayed in this rental with another teammate and her father for a fall softball tourney weekend. It had everything they needed. Plenty of room, great outdoor space, the house was clean and had all items that were expected. The location is great to get to all things in the Nashville/Hendersonville area.

Our bachelorette party of 6 stayed for 2 nights. The house was the perfect size to accommodate 6 adults. The neighborhood was nice and we felt safe. This location is only 25 minutes away from downtown. I would definitely choose this location again if I ever visit Nashville again.

I booked this stay for my grandma, mom, sisters and I to have a weekend getaway! It was 25 mins from downtown and the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful! The pond in the backyard was the perfect view with our morning coffee. We loved every moment of our stay!

We were disappointed that our VRBO did not contain the basics for a 6-night stay for 4 adults. It only had 2 rolls of toilet paper and 6 towels. When communicating this with the property owner at the end of our stay they said "this is a vacation rental and everything is a starter set with additional supplies your responsibility". I've never known TP to be the responsibility of a guest. The owners dismal response has us rating this VRBO as unacceptable.
As older guests (55-68), we found the furnishings uncomfortable. The high-top kitchen table, sunken couch and very small restroom facilities on top of extremely low water pressure are something potential guests should be aware of. The pictures do not accurately reflect the property.

Our family of 6 stayed for two nights and the size of the house was perfect. The house was clean and had everything you would need to enjoy your stay. The house is in a nice neighborhood and everyone felt safe and comfortable. We had diner one of our nights at Sam’s Sport Grill and the food was great, would highly recommend. Marc and Candace are great host! We would definitely stay again.

Everything was clean. Access was quick and easy. Neighbor was nice. The basketball hoops and the tennis net were in disrepair but did not stop us from enjoying the stay. Pond in the back yard with a nice deck to sit on.

Three couples stayed here and it was great. It's in a nice area, easy to get to downtown Nashville, but provides a quieter place to relax. We loved eating at Sam's Sports Bar on the water. The beds were comfortable and the house was clean. Thanks so much!

Great little house for a weekend away with friends. Loved the pond view off the back porch as it filled our mornings with birdwatching and our nights with frog song.

My husband, his brother, and my 2 daughters needed a place to stay for my step-daughter's wedding about 10 minutes away. Marc's home was perfect for our visit! I was excited to see the outside deck overlooked a body of water (river?)! We saw deer, herons, turtles, and fish jumping. We honestly didn't need much during our stay so we didn't need to contact him, but Marc welcomed us by text before we arrived and he texted us good-bye before we left. The house was well-appointed and the neighborhood was lovely. I do want to point out that we used a beach towel and read that we needed to wash/dry it before we left, which we did. However, there was no laundry soap. I happened to bring a few pods, just in case, so all worked out. There are quite a few "directions/rules" posted in the house, but nothing unreasonable. I would definitely stay there again!

This was a great place to stay outside of Nashville. Friends and I went for a golf weekend, and although the weather didn't cooperate, we had a great time. The house is about a 15-20 minute drive to downtown/Broadway.
The house was very clean and Candice (owner) was very accessible and accommodating.

This was our second stay at this immaculately kept home and it did not disappoint! Very comfortable with in a serene setting right off the back deck. Many extras provided by these wonderful hosts. Despite the congested Interstates this weekend this home is located to several alternate routes into the city where we could enjoy all downtown Nashville has to offer and then return and completely unwind.

This property was in an excellent location for my group who needed to be in the area for the week to work on a project. It was closer to our work location than the hotels in the area, and was a quiet escape after a long day. Will use again if we are in the area.
