About this house rental
Located in Rio Hato, this lovely house for $631 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Ideal for vacationing safely due to its privacy and safety measures taken by owner. Only one hour and 45 minutes from Panama City (117 kms drive) and you’ll be enjoying this private and beautiful beach at the Pacific coast. The highway is a 4 lane road from the city and at the entrance of the property, you’ll find a short dirt road that will lead you to our property from the main highway. A map with directions will be provided before your arrival to Panama. Our home is beach front, just a few feet from the white sand and steps away from the water. An ideal place for families looking for peace of mind, lots of fun and sun with wonderful sunrises and sunsets in front of the Farallon Island and near Santa Clara Beach. We have a salt based filter pool great for people with allergies. The pool is cleaned and its water checked twice a week by a well recognized pool company. On the second floor, it has 2 master bedrooms, each one with a king size bed, private sea view from an open balcony and a bathroom with sea view in the shower. 2 separate ample rooms (one with 2 double beds, the other with 2 bunk beds: one has a double bed with a twin bed and the other has 2 twin beds). Each has its own private bathroom. On the ground floor, we have two bedrooms viewing the garden with 2 twin beds each one (can be used separate or as a king size bed if put together) and each with its private bathroom . There is plenty of space for 10 adults and 5 children and a pack’n play crib is also available. All rooms as mentioned above have its private bathroom, air conditioning, hot water, closets, sheets and towels. A separate den or family room with a full bathroom and cable tv is on the ground floor. The terrace is an open living room with a sitting area and hammocks looking at the pool and sea. There is also an open dining room (sits 8) in a comfortable and ample space. Another area is the bar with two BBQ's (gas and charcoal) and a table that sits 5. We built a large kitchen area for the family to enjoy cooking while chatting. The fully-equipped, functioning kitchen also includes a 6-burner gas stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, blender, fridge and refrigerator. All pans, utensils and cutlery are provided. The kitchen has a large glass door leading to the bar and barbecue area which are just near the pool. There is also a washing and dryer machine in the laundry area. The house has sliding glass doors and windows all around so light and fresh air is part of your daily well-being. A quiet and fun pool with space for all, the small ones included is just there for you to relax and enjoy any time during the day or night. Just outside the fence, there is a nice wooden deck from which the beach is just steps away, with the water clear all year round. The beach is very quiet, wave are small as Farallón isle protects the coastline. Minimum stay of 3 nights. Our trusted housekeeper will stay overnight in her quarters during your stay to answer any questions and to clean bedrooms, bathrooms and social areas. She can help in the kitchen if you need her for US$40.00 a day until 8 pm and we ask you to please request this before your arrival. Parties, loud music or events are not permitted. The property is for families to enjoy a relax and quiet time. Please note that you will not be allowed to bring other third parties different from the ones you register in your request for rental. Our host Isabel was responsive and communicated with us well in advance. The property is beautiful and well maintained on a small enclave of about 5 homes with a pristine private beach as your backyard. Miro the housekeeper is a terrific cook and made some superb meals when requested. Be sure to ask her to introduce you to Beya and Samantha the two pooches that live on the property. They’re so well behaved that if you don’t ask you won’t know they’re there. This exceeded all our expectations. Thank you Isabel and Miro. We will definitely be back.

The home is in a peaceful and beautiful location. We enjoyed the breathtaking views every morning from every area of the house. The host communication was timely and helpful. The location is a bit remote so plan to arrive during daylight as it is a little harder to find at night the first time you visit.

El Pedacito is a piece of paradise that perfectly suited our multigenerational family ranging from infants to grandparents. The idyllic property accurately illustrated in the VRBO listing is even more beautiful in person. Isabel, the homeowner, an excellent communicator and most gracious host, made every effort to tend to our comfort during our stay. We truly felt like her home was our own vacation home. We enjoyed ideal weather every day. The house is designed for privacy and relaxation ---every air conditioned bedroom has its own bathroom suite. The large, covered, yet open air common areas with refreshing dry season breezes are conducive for family dinners, gatherings, playing games, or just hanging out. The house wraps around a beautiful and well maintained pool with plenty of chairs and enough hammocks for lounging or snoozing or star gazing. The air conditioned den (with a bonus full bathroom) alternated as a space for "checking into the office" or watching football. The private beachfront location made multiple daily dips between pool and ocean easy and convenient. Our beach walkers found some unusual and pretty shells. The house features an outdoor barbecue great for any grilling enthusiast. As mentioned in other reviews, the amazing Miro, who is also available for a fee as a cook and housekeeper, spoiled us with a variety of delicious meals showcasing delicious Panamanian cuisine. We had little interest or incentive to go out to dinner. (Although Isabel provides lots of interesting info and helpful suggestions.) The beach setting served as a lovely backdrop for our professional family photos. El Pedacito is truly a slice of heaven. Thank you, Isabel, for sharing your wonderful family home with our family.

This place was exactly as described in the listing and was perfect for our group of 12. The beach was perfect (along with the solitude!), pool was great and the house itself was excellent. Isabel was a great host and very responsive and kept in contact to ensure everything was going great. Miro was also great with helping around the house, cooked a few delicious meals for us and felt like part of the family near the end. We stayed over Christmas and new years and had a lot of great food from the fish market just up the road either on the bbq and charcoal smoker. Fireworks lit up the beach at the stroke of midnight and it was a perfect way to bring in 2023! Thanks again for the great hospitality and we will definitely keep El Pedacito in mind for any future trips!

My family and I had a wonderful four nights at this stunningly designed and decorated home. The house is extremely well cared for by its owners (spotless!) and the lovely caretaker Miro, and is in a quiet and private neighborhood fronting a clean pretty beach. Everything about it was just wonderful and dreamy and we had such a relaxing stay. It’s also a lovely area with lots of amenities close by but in its own little world. I think we saw like 5 people in the beach area by us the whole stay! No comfort has been overlooked, Miro was the warmest host, and we were right at home immediately. One of the owners, Isabel, also checked in to make sure we were enjoying our stay and was delightful and felt like an old friend right away! This was one of the best stays we’ve had at a VRBO house and we are already looking forward to coming back soon. We even loved the sweet dogs! Thank you and abrazos, Isabel and Miro!!!

Isabel was extremely responsive and Miro is a pleasure and very thoughtful and loving with the children. The pool is great and the beach is beautiful and clean. The only downside was the kitchen was difficult to use without the help of Miro as the appliances were outdated and there was no clear labels on the buttons to figure out how to use things like the toaster or oven. Other than that, the property is gorgeous, spacious, great location and the service and owners were excellent and responsive!

This place is gorgeous! . The house is prettier in person, if that’s even possible. The garden, home and pool is well- maintained- you can tell the family loves this home. The rooms are spacious and clean. The beach is only steps away and makes for a lovely view from the rooms, outside sitting area and deck. So peaceful and serene! The hammocks and outdoor areas were relaxing to enjoy the ocean breeze and sounds fo the waves. The kid enjoyed having a private pool and we even enjoyed night swims with the night pool lights. Evening and sunset walks on the beach are sooo nice. There are many good restaurants close by as well as grocery store, fish market and pharmacy. Miros (the housekeeper) took great care of the place and even made us a lovely dinner- she is super nice and so helpful with any needs. Isabel was easy to communicate with, gave us lots of good information regarding getting there, places to go, restaurants etc. We communicated with her easily through WhatsApp and she replied in a timely manner. She is the best host by far! We hope to return for another peaceful vacation here soon! ☺️

I am originally from Panama but live in the USA. I know very well the Pacific coast. I have a stayed in many houses around the area. This was one of our favorites, we had a large group of all ages and everyone was very comfortable. We did not have any single problem. The ocean was beautiful,The house was very clean and comfortable, Location is very private and secluded, yet close to the main road to a fishmarket and a large grocery store. I definitely would stay here again.

La casa es extremadamente bella, tal cual se presenta en las fotos. Desde el inicio Isabel y su familia estuvieron super pendientes en garantizar que nos sintieramos como si estuvieramos en nuestra casa. Estuvimos en un grupo de 14 amigos y todos nos sentimos muy comodos con el amplio espacio de la casa, seguramente su arquitectura abierta ayuda mucho la experiencia. La playa justo en frente es buenisimo para rejalarse y olvidarse de los problemas del dia a dia. Tuvimos algunas fallas con el internet, pues tuvimos todos que conectarnos a trabajar por un dia, pero para nada cambió nuestra experiencia en la casa. Miro, su ayudante, estuvo siempre pendiente y dejó todo siempre muy limpio y agradable.

The villa is in a perfect location for people looking for a beach and country stay. We swam in the gulf and hiked the interior. The beach is clean and lovely to walk along. A short 2 hour drive from Panama City airport. The house is well appointed, extremely clean and the outdoor space makes this property a great space for family and friends to spend time together but also have space to spread out. The best part though is the customer service. Isobel the owner was extraordinarily helpful from the time we were thinking of renting through our check out. She provided us with things to do, places to eat and was available on text 24/7. The best part was the on site property manager Miro. With a smile and a quiet way, she cooked delicious meals for us and kept the villa clean. It was a real vacation for everyone! We will definitely return when next in Panama!

This is an amazing property in arguably the best location in all of Panama! Beach was pristine and private, water was smooth and clear, and we rarely saw anyone the entire time we were at the house. Very convenient and easy drive from Panama City, 2 hours on the nose. We were a group of 4 couples who travel together every year. The house in incredible with ample space so everyone has their own bathrooms and privacy. Good beds and cold air. Pool was perfect and the owner provided a Bose Bluetooth speaker, beach towels, and coolers for our use. The beach is literally a few steps from the pool where we had several bonfires at night. We always felt safe and it was nice having Miro (house staff) around to make sure everything went smoothly. She is wonderful, but speaks no English, so a phone translator is a must. We like to cook and the kitchen was extremely well stocked with everything we needed including filtered water. (could definitely use a new oven) A brand new Super 99 grocery store is a couple miles down the road with everything you could ever want at very reasonable prices. They have most all American beers, but the Panama Light was by far our fave. Great selection of wines and champagne priced under $10. There is also a fresh fish and produce market (open various times) on the highway near the driveway that is awesome. We got snapper, shrimp, flounder, snook and fruit/vegetables there. They also have a 24 hour ice plant there that sells about 60 lbs. of ice for $4. The owner was an absolute pleasure to deal with and offered her advice all week long through Whatsapp. We spent a day at Playa Blanca Resort (it is free to go to restaurant side of the huge pool, which is in disrepair but still ok and good food), we spent a afternoon evening at the super nice Buenaventura Marriott Resort, and a must do day trip is to El Valle de Anton ( a quaint little town about 45 min away that has great food). We spent another day at the Canal and Old Town Panama which is also a must see. Just remember, get to the canal before 10 a.m. to see a ship pass and leave the city before 4 to avoid the traffic jams. You can easily do canal and old town in same day. Panama offers so much history, sightseeing, and most of all hospitality and nice people. It is a must visit for everyone and this house is the place to stay. We definitely plan to come back to Panama and to this house hopefully with our whole family next time.
