About this cabin rental

Located in Keuka Lake, this lovely cabin for $150 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. About Us: Grouse Haven Cabin was built in 2003-2004 by the current owners. The cabin was named Grouse Haven because while we were building we could hear the Grouse birds in the area “drumming”. The cabin is secluded in a red pine forest with lots of Mother Nature in its surroundings. There are trails for hiking and cross-country skiing. There is also a picnic area located at the lower end of the 90-acre property that you can get to by hiking trails. The cabin is located in the heart of the Finger Lakes with close proximity to Penn Yan, Hammondsport, Watkins Glen, 2-3 miles to Keuka Lake State Park, the Finger Lakes wineries, micro breweries, Keuka college, and more. Keywords: Cabin located on Bluff Point secluded in red pines for privacy, within the heart of the Finger Lakes with hiking trails, and close proximity to wineries,antique stores, Keuka Lake State park, Bristol ski mountain, cheese tours, The Windmill, and resturants.

Grouse House is remote enough to make you feel all alone in the woods and yet conveniently close to all the amenities you could want while on vacation. My wife and I spent a wonderful Christmas here and would very much like to come back and enjoy the cabin in other seasons.

We loved everything about our long weekend visit to the cabin. It was a great gathering place for our family (and pup) to be together. We enjoyed being able to take walks on the cabin trails, have dinners together and hang out around the fire pit in the evening. The cabin was also so close to Keuka Lake State park for easy access to paddling and hiking there. Phyllis & Mark were great hosts - welcoming, kind and generous. They shared some delicious goodies with us from their garden. We would love to visit again!

We had an incredible time at Grouse Haven cabin. The cabin was well-stocked and clean. Our dog loved running around the yard. We also enjoyed the fire pit. Thank you for a great weekend!

Pleasant and very quiet! A good break from larger family gathering on the lakeshore. Comfortable bed and great shower. We enjoyed watching the birds from the dining table. Good thing the Grouse Haven banner was up, near the end of the driveway, or we might not have found it! Initial confusion over the internet password, and the limited cookware of good quality had food stuck on it, but otherwise a good stay. Renters with large vehicles should be aware of the narrow driveway requiring careful backing up.

Phyllis & Mark have crested a magical escape from city noise and crowds. Equipped with a high vaulted ceiling, big, comfy chairs and hlking trails this is an oasis in the middle of wine country, sweet towns and local breweries.

We had a lovely weekend at your house. The property and house were absolutely beautiful and peaceful. We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you so much for everything.. the only thing I would even think about commenting about would be the water pressure in the shower was very low so it was to a lot longer to shower. This detail is very minor to us. It did not deter from how much we enjoyed our stay. Thank you again so much.

Perfect cabin in the woods getaway for our long weekend in the Finger Lakes! My spouse, two of our friends, and our 4 yr old mini goldendoodle loved the cabin which was beautifully nestled into the snow-covered woods, in an excellent location to enjoy the wineries, breweries and distilleries on both Keuka and Senaca Lakes. The thoughtful owners even supplied a crate for our dog for while we were touring the area, as well as everything we’d need for her as well (dog dishes, and even puppy poop bags). We were even given cabin tshirts and the ability to purchase the owner’s homemade maple syrup! We especially enjoyed the fireplace and cards & games for our evening enjoyment as well as the outdoor fire pit for snowy campfires. We will definitely be back!

Grouse Heaven 👍🏻👍🏻 This cabin is set amongst the tall birch and pine trees on the property. Even though we visited during the New Years weekend it was still quite private with the way the cabin is situated on the property. We loved the fact that we were able to bring our 2 dogs along for the holiday. We absolutely loved sitting out on the porch enjoying the sights and sounds of the birds and wind blowing through the trees. The dogs enjoyed the freedom of playing and running around on the property. The cabin is well appointed with all the kitchen utensils and appliances needed, along with very comfortable furnishings. Our hosts were easy to contact and responded quickly to our questions. We enjoyed our time exploring the surrounding Keuka lake area. Visiting Hammondsport, Pen Yan and some of the local wineries,breweries, and distilleries. This was exactly what we were looking for, for our long holiday get away. We would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking to just relax unwind and still be close enough to site see the surrounding area. Thank you to Phyllis and Mark for hosting us in their cabin. What a great property that while it’s close to civilization, you’d never know it when you’re sitting on the porch. You could easily have four adults and not feel crowded at all. Even a couple kids in the mix. The pups loved it because they got to gallivant along the cabin trails a couple times a day. Even the road is peaceful with hardly any traffic…like none! So quiet and beautiful. Had a deer join us one morning while we were listening to the pines and birch trees swaying and singing in the wind. We will definitely be back.

The weather was exceptionally warm for Nov. and since we had our fur babies with us we had a great time walking them. The cabin was absolutely perfect, with everything you would need! Loved the maple syrup sampler and brought 3 jars home for family! Hosts were excellent, we only saw Mark once on this way through for early morning bow hunting. We had been warned about bow season. We took nice rides with the dogs exploring local parks and Keuka Lake State park. Had a picnic in November, who would think? We definitely will rebook!♥️♥️♥️

Clean, cozy, quiet, peaceful and felt like home. The owners built this place with love and it shows. Grouse Haven is secluded in the woods. We awakened each morning to nature❤️. Minutes to Keuka State Park. We were able to use our raft and SUP paddleboard. Close to the Windmill Farm Market and the wine trail. Driving along skyline drive during a rain storm provided awesome views of rainbows over the lake. We could see where the”Y” in Keuka lake meets at the bottom of Skyline Drive. What a view! Upgrade since our last stay included a strong Wi-Fi service, AC and TV. Looking forward to returning in the fall!

The cabin is clean, comfortable, and well equipped. We enjoyed every part of our stay but some highlights were sipping tea on the porch watching birds in the morning, making pancakes with the delicious maple syrup our host left for us, and reading/relaxing in the comfy chairs.

Exactly what I was searching for to visit with family in Rochester and celebrate our anniversary. Loved the location, seclusion, nature, birds, fire pit, and picnic table outside outside. Appreciated the cleanliness inside, relaxation all around. State park near the lake just 3 minutes away, winery’s nearby as well. Overall a great place to stay!

This cabin is secluded, off of country roads and surrounded by big trees and nature. This place is super serene, the kitchen was well equipped, the beds were comfy and the place was very cozy. Would definitely recommend.
