About this house rental
Nestled in LaFollette, this attractive house for $619 per night is a great choice for your next break. This spacious home located at the top of Big Creek features 5 decks totaling over 2100 square feet of outdoor living overlooking Norris Lake. Decks include comfortable furniture, a fire pit, propane grill and outdoor shower. The home has an open floor plan with large kitchen/family room. The kitchen is well equipped for large groups. The garage has been converted to a rec room ("The Hangar") with comfortable recliners, a large screen TV, ping pong table and sliding glass doors to a deck overlooking the lake. There are six bedrooms, including three with king sized beds. The home sleeps 18 in real beds (no bunk beds, trundle beds, futons or sleeper sofas). All beds have comfortable bedding. There are about 100 stairs from the deck down to a private dock with large swim platform and year round deep water. One slip is available for renters. The stairs are brand new for 2024 with railings on both sides. Big creek is a quieter part of the lake and offers the some of the smoothest waters for skiing, wake-boarding, kayaking or taking a leisurely cruise. The area is also known for excellent fishing. While this area of the lake is less congested and feels "away from it all" it is only three miles from town for grocery shopping and restaurants. It has very easy access to Indian River, Whitman Hollow and Sequoyah marinas. The home is only 15 minutes off of the highway. The main house has two bedrooms on the first floor and two on the second floor. The remaining two bedrooms, including "The Barracks", are located above the hangar. The main house and hangar are connected so you do not need to go outside. However the second floors are not connected, so you have to go down one set of stairs and back up the other. This provides convenient additional sleeping areas for larger groups. It includes two bedrooms, a full bath, kitchen and living room as well as a deck with lake. The home is in a neighborhood which includes both vacation properties and full time residents. It is a fantastic place for family gatherings, fishing weekends, book club getaways and so much more. Due to the proximity of neighbors, it is not a good location for loud/late parties. We hope and expect our guest to enjoy themselves while also being considerate to the needs of our neighbors.

This was our first visit to Norris Lake, we have been visiting this area of Tennessee over the last few years as we are planning to retire there in the near future. The lake was gorgeous, the views were outstanding. The only thing I had a hard time with was all the steps! My old 61 year old knees were not use to that! But all in all the house was beautiful and well outfitted.

The house was beautiful, plenty of space for 6 couples, and close to the stores. The mean really enjoyed fishing on the private dock. The game room was the hit for everyone, movie night and college football all day on Saturday.

Had a great weekend get away with some of my friends and family. Nice location and very spacious. A there are a lot of stairs to get from the house to the dock.

Perfect home & location
The house was incredibly spacious for our group of 10. We had 2 completely unused bedrooms and so much space. The dock was quiet and the kids swam quite a bit.
The kitchen amenities were excellent as was everything else.
We will definitely be back!

Family trip
Loved location. How was just as described. Everyone had a great time. Heating was tricky, to get it warm downstairs we roasted upstairs.
Thankfully they had 2 ovens that was great but when they were both on the censor on top oven kept shutting it off, hopefully that will get looked at. The barracks bathroom wasn’t clean and there is mold on the walls. Overall it was a nice stay.

This was a really nice property to visit with friends and enjoy each other’s company either outside on the decks or inside the house. Steps up from dock can be a challenge, so just try to make the trip once. It is a beautiful location

Flyers Landing was the perfect landing spot for us after a long day of surfing on the lake. We had breakfast with friends on the patio, played and fished off the dock, and finished up the night with music and euchre in the hanger. The house was very clean, well stocked, and plenty of space for 4 adult couples. We came at a quiet time of year, but the location was beautiful, weather was perfect, and water was smooth. We had the best time!

Panned family vacation for Christmas gift. Very enjoyable and memorable. We were able to go boating and swimming and enjoy the view from the house. The host was very helpful and always kept me informed in getting ready for the stay.

The Hangar was a prime hangout playing ping pong, darts, Euchre and watching movies and football games on the big screen!! A little chilly down by the docks but kids still enjoyed the fishing (no bites) - must be amazing in the summer with nicer weather. Kitchen was well stocked, close to town for items and everyone slept comfortably! No complaints! Definitely on our return list to come back!

My family and I just had a fantastic stay over Thanksgiving. The house was perfect for all of the little cousins and my aunt in a wheelchair. The kitchen was completely stocked for us to make a full Thanksgiving meal, and the weather was perfect for dining outside on the lovely deck. My family and I just had a fantastic stay over Thanksgiving. The house was perfect for all of the little cousins and my aunt in a wheelchair. Not all all what I expected.House had not been cleaned very good ..Not As nice as I thought it would be .Several things that we had to come in and do our self’s that should have been done .During COVID air cond filters should be one thing that is kept changes but they had not been in a long time from the looks of them.The grill was so nasty that I would not use it without having to do a major cleaning .Several things including fire pit having to change out gas tank ourself.I mean we were taking a minion vacation

House was well appointed and very clean. Loved that we didn’t have to rent kayaks for our stay. Very spacious. Only complaint was that the trees block most of the lake view.

Family vacation
This is an awesome property for a family vacation! There is plenty of room for personal space, and there are plenty of activities between the lake/dock, and gameroom/movie theater, to keep everyone occupied! The bedrooms in the hanger were a perfect place for our young adults to hang-out and sleep. The kitchen had every item that you could need to cook/bake with. The multiple decks were used by everyone, giving them their own personal time when wanted. I believe we were the first guests of the season - my only complaint was that the tables/furniture were a little dusty/dirty, particularly on the outside patios. The neighbors were very helpful and friendly! In fact, we rented our pontoon boat from the neighbor across the street, and her rates were the best we found! It was a lovely experience, and I recommend it to others!
