The hostel is in a great location, just a few steps from the beach, and considering how cheap it is, it offers really good value for money. The rooms are decent, everything was clean, and the overall hygiene was good. We also really liked the outdoor bathroom area, especially the area with the mirrors.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. They organised our van transportation and also arranged the private boat tour we did, and everything went really well. Overall, for the price, location and service, it’s a very good option in Port Barton.
The main issue was the noise. On our last night, a group of Spanish girls were making a lot of noise in the room until very late, laughing and talking loudly, and we basically couldn’t sleep. Another guest even asked them to be quiet twice, but nothing changed. We were surprised that nobody from the hostel stepped in or asked them to respect the other guests trying to sleep.
The other issue was the music. We actually love electronic music, but during our stay it was low season and there were only a few people around, yet the music was extremely loud, to the point where it was difficult to have a normal conversation. We also heard other guests complaining about it.
We completely understand loud music when the hostel is busy and people are partying, but when there are only four or five guests around, some more relaxed music at a reasonable volume would create a much nicer atmosphere.

The beds are comfortable and the restaurant has a nice menu. Staff is helpful and welcoming!
It’s expensive for what you get, especially since there’s no electricity half of the day (I know it’s out of their hand but they should adjust the price), the restaurant is expensive as well. There’s literally no wifi nor internet connection in the room, so it’s not possible to get any text/call or just relax in the room. Also I thought that the bathrooms could’ve been more clean.
