Nestled in Saint James, this attractive house for $350 per night is a great option for your next vacation. This wonderful 4 bedroom house is located within the exclusive gated Sugar Hill community in St. James on the west coast of Barbados. The house has beautiful views from the Balcony down to the Caribbean Sea which is just a short drive away. There are 3 en-suite bedrooms in the main house and the 4th bedroom is within the adjacent self-contained cottage with a kitchenette. All bathrooms are en suite with either a shower or bath & shower, wc and wash basins. Well equipped kitchen including oven, hob and microwave. Large American style fridge/freezer with ice dispenser, dishwasher, kettle and toaster. A beautifully furnished sitting room and dining area with cable TV and DVD player. For those who need to stay in touch there is also broadband internet access. There is additional seating and dining furniture located on the terrace. Ceiling fans are also fitted throughout the property including the balcony and terrace. Air Conditioning in bedrooms. As well as its own private plunge pool, perfect for cooling down in between sunbathing on the terraces, there is also a large 2000 sq ft infinity pool at the clubhouse, just a short walk away. The clubhouse also offers a restaurant, bar and fitness suite, as well as 4 flood lit tennis courts. The open air setting of Sugar Hill's exclusive restaurant, is truly breath-taking. During the day, sit and enjoy the cool breeze while feasting on the delectable menu. Beach facilities are provided by The Fairmont Royal Pavilion Hotel and include complimentary sun loungers and umbrellas.The Fairmont Royal Pavilion Hotel is one of the most prestigious resorts on Barbados, and we provide complimentary membership of its private beach club. Such a lovely villa that had everything you could need, the rooms aircon and pool were amazing. Mary was so helpful and nice to come home to a clean villa every day. The main swimming pool was beautiful and to be able to use the facilities at the Fairmont was a pleasure. Beautiful sunsets from the balcony.

We had an absolutely wonderful time. The house was immaculate, well equipped and perfect for two families with two teens. Views were incredible. Plunge pool was perfect spot after day at beach or at the Infinity Pool. Beach club is a bonus. Entire team from front desk to restaurant staff and Tessa our housekeeper were so friendly and made us feel right at home. Highly recommend a stay!

We had a wonderful time at Summer House! From the very beginning of the reservation process until the end, everything was exceptional. The house is in a perfect location and has everything necessary to make your stay lovely. Mary was so kind and helpful too. We will certainly come again.

Had a fabulous time at Summer House.The house was even better in person.The main reception had a restaurant, gym facilities & massive pool with a beautiful sea view especially in the sunshine.You need transport because the taxis will charge more as the area is more affluent, so we arranged car hire during our stay.It is a 30 mins walk to Holetown where banks,shops,restaurants, bars are etc.Mary the house keeper was a delight.All the mod cons in the house ( pool & barbecue in the garden came in handy)and property manager was at hand to deal with any queries. The resort was safe and secure and staff on site were very friendly.

I never met the manager while I was there So there was no hospitality team available to us. the mattresses are really bad and the cottage was really dusty. Barbados is really beautiful I would rather pay more and get more service.

We were all thrilled to stay in this beautiful villa! Paul answered all of our 100 😂questions by email promptly and accurately before we arrived. It was a perfect setup for 4 couples and Mary, the housekeeper, was absolutely the best!The villa is light and airy and is decorated beautifully. It is set in an amazing community with a lovely pool and restaurant, Carizma on the Hill, within walking distance. A rental car is necessary to get to the beach, but a nice setup with chairs and food/beverage service once there! Loved walking in the morning to see the monkeys which were amazing. A real tropical paradise!

A beautiful house and an ideal location close to restaurants and the beach . Mary the housekeeper was very friendly and effficient.

Beautiful Villa, lovely holiday
Summerhouse is a beautiful villa, it’s nicely located on the Sugar hill estate, and is very spacious and comfortable. It’s well appointed, and Mary the house keeper is excellent.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this villa very highly.

Beautiful home
We had a wonderful time at the Summer House. Paul was so helpful during the planning process, quick to respond and very accommodating. We were so pleased with Cynthia checking on us throughout our stay. Mary kept the home very clean and laundry service was so helpful! She was always so kind to us and our two little ones.
The house is just as described. The plunge pool kept our kids entertained until we were ready to go to one of the two large pools on the property. Sugar Hill is a wonderful community. Highly recommend a car if you do not want to call taxis all the time. We tried walking to the beach but with the heat and stroller we opted to taxi back. The fairmont beach access that comes with the House was so nice. There is a delicious restaurant that will deliver to the property Zaccios. For dining at Sugar Hill, check restaurants hours, we came back one afternoon only to realize they don’t serve lunch that day. Highly recommend stopping at Limegrove Lifestyle Center in Holetown, nice food options, a bar with 2 for 1 drinks during happy hour, and a variety of stores.
A few notes, that did not stop us from loving our experience. The bedrooms did have air conditioning and fans but being August the common areas did not and could get warm when their wasn’t a breeze and the ceiling fans weren’t enough. Most restaurants in Barbados aren’t air conditioned but you get used to it. TVs would have been nice in the bedrooms to entertain the kids but completely get most people come to the Caribbean to unplug.
The Summer House was plenty of space for our family (4 adults and 2 kids). The cottage is cute and right next door but we did not use it. Having a full bath in each bedroom was very convenient. The rooms were nice and spacious. The kitchen had all the pots, pans, cups, plates, etc you could need. The grocery store is close by in Holetown so you can stock up.

The Summer House was perfect for our family!
The Summer House is located in the prestigious community of Sugar Hill, just minutes away from Holetown and the Beach. The home itself is very spacious, well constructed and very well outfitted with all the comforts of home. Mary did a great job staying on top of the cleaning and laundry and was very pleasant and kind to our family. It was nice having a dedicated full bathroom for each of the three bedrooms and the air conditioning made it very comfortable for sleeping. The common area pools, fitness and tennis courts were all in top notch shape and were very accessible to us during our stay. The food at Carizma (on site) was fantastic and all of the staff and servers were fun, upbeat and made us feel welcome. Holetown also has some fantastic restaurants (Fusion, Surfside and Zaccio's to name a few) and Carizma has another location there that serves a great breakfast in a quaint setting. It was nice having a full grocery store just minutes away and there are two banks in town (RBC & Scotiabank) as well. The Fairmont Royal Pavilion Beach Club is a great place to spend a day on the beach and have access to SUP's and Kayaks and even has a nice restaurant and outdoor bar with TV's to keep up on the golf! Ryan and Keelu were super nice and looked after helping us book a fishing charter and were great entertaining our two teenage boys. If you get the chance, you should also take a drive out to the south side of Speightstown...there is a very quiet and enjoyable beach there and a fabulous restaurant called Hugo's. This was our first trip to Barbados and The Summer House was the perfect way to experience it. We will most certainly be back! Thanks for such an enjoyable experience!

Definitely a 5star property
The house was wonderful and more than lived up to our expectations. The rooms were spacious and airy.We loved sitting and having breakfast on the upstairs verandah with the lovely view down to the water. We enjoyed time at the clubhouse with it's great infinity pool and the nearby beach area was beautiful. Mary the housekeeper kept everything so clean neat and tidy. Our cook Jean made delicious dinners.

Fantastic stay
The summer house was the perfect venue for our holiday. It was clean, spacious and had all the amenities that we needed. Having the tennis courts just a short walk away was a great added bonus. Paul and the team were extremely welcoming and accommodating and I would highly recommend the villa for anyone wanting a relaxing break.

Beautiful spacious villa
We stayed at The Summerhouse for 12 nights in Jan/Feb 2018 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The main house has 3 bedrooms of which we used 2.
There are 2 spacious bedrooms on the ground floor each with an ensuite and a slightly smaller double bedroom on the 1st floor again with an ensuite
The 1st floor terrace is a great spot for breakfast and also sunsets with a great view over the trees to the Caribbean.
The plunge pool is also a brilliant spot to cool down with a rum punch after a day at the beach
Carizma restaurant and the clubhouse with its infinity pool are approx. 3 mins walk away and we enjoyed many a day and evening there.
The beach club membership at the Fairmont was a great bonus and is approx. a 5 min drive down the hill.
To summarise The Summerhouse is a lovely spacious villa for a large family or 3 couples (4 if you rent the cottage) in a great location near the best spots on the island.
