This beautifully decorated, 3600 square foot French Alpine Chalet home is conveniently located inside the Massanutten Mountain Village. You can enjoy one of our four scenic decks, play a game of pool or ping pong in the family room, or relax with a book in front of the two stone fire places. You’ll also enjoy the vaulted ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, new bathrooms, wet bar in the game room, and TVs with DVDs, Cable TV with Premium Channels ,and High Speed wireless internet connection for your laptops. Ski, snowboard, or tube in the winter. Golf, swim, play tennis, fish, canoe, bike, ride horses, go-cart, and hike in the fall, spring, and summer. Enjoy the Massanutten Resort's IndoorWater Park -- the East Coast's largest 4 seasons water park!!! There’s no need to leave this resort which includes a 14 trail ski and tubing park, two golf courses, a beautifully designed miniature golf course, fine dining, bar, ski-shop, mini-market and much more. Other popular pastimes include exploring the many Civil War battlefields, museums, national parks, caverns, wineries and antique shops close by. Please remember that this is a residential home. We stayed here for two nights while skiing at Massanutten. The house is beautiful, like a classic chalet, with dark wood and cozy nooks all around. We had two couples, a single adult and two kids, and had plenty of space. There are three different living rooms for relaxing, plus lots of toys for kids. The kitchen was well stocked and everything well maintained. Great to have laundry available, too. It snowed on the second night and the roads were cleared by the time we got up in the morning. We didn't take advantage of the other area amenities but there is a lot within a few minutes drive. We hope to come back!

This bunch has been getting together over 30 years for Homecoming but this was our first year at this house. It was spacious but cozy at the same time. The bedrooms gave room for everyone to spread out and the two common areas easily accommodated the group socializing. Everyone said it was great and gave it a two thumbs up. Wish we would have had more time to take in the area!

We had a great stay at Le Chalet for our first JMU Parent's weekend. We stayed with friends and the house was perfect for our two families. There was ample space, a well appointed kitchen, outside grill and the kids had a great time playing pool and ping pong. It took us just under 30 minutes to get to and from campus and was an easy drive.

We had a great time in Le Chalet, the location is great if you want to go to Massanuten ski resort, its a spacy and cozy home. The view is gorgeous. The kitchen is equipped with all you might need, but you have to bring consumables. TV has cable and the basement counts with a billiard and ping pong table. We would book again.

Great place to stay. We stayed for JMU homecoming weekend with 2 other couples. Plenty of room, easy to get to restaurants, university, etc. Would stay again!

We stayed here for a weekend to attend a family wedding. We did not spend a lot of time in the home but when we did, it met our needs nicely.

We enjoyed our stay at the property.
The house was sufficient for our family.
It was kid-friendly and the game room was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.
However , there were only a few washcloths,
Wet towels were in the dryer, broken chairs on the deck, and the fan in the bedroom to the left on the main floor was about to fall off the fixture.
On the third day of our rental, someone came out to fix it.
Washcloths were never brought and chairs were not replaced
So only 2 usable chairs on the deck.
On the bottom floor, the glider is cracked and unusable
The trash cans were loaded with fully loaded with trash with no room for our trash.
I emailed the owner the week before our arrival and never received a response.

A small group of friends and I stayed at this property for a girls’ weekend away and it was absolutely perfect. Clean, comfortable, clear directions and communication from the owner. There were only 5 of us so the property felt enormous - we are already planning to return in the summer, but with more friends. Kitchen was well-stocked with all the equipment you'd need. A Cozy Spot
We had a wonderful time at Le Chalet. The house was very cozy with multiple fireplaces and great spaces for talking. The owner was also very flexible with us! Overall, a spot I would rent again!

Cozy family home
My family and I enjoyed this time we were able to spend with each other in this cozy home. Although allot of the fun things to do in Massanutten were closed due to staff going back to school, we had no problem staying inside! This size of this home was perfect! We look forward to coming back here again!

Cozy cabin
We really enjoyed our stay in this home. It is located in a great spot for access to the resort amenities and had plenty of space for our family to be comfortable. My only complaint is that the oven, tubs and showers are in need of a deep clean. Everything else was great. The beds were comfortable and overall we were happy with the home.
