Peaceful and quiet . Host farouk is really pleasant and so helpful. There are 2 chalets and a lodge has beautiful lake and mountain views each chalet has their own outdoor braai and fire pit very nice. If you want to take a break from daily life and just enjoy nature with no interruption of cell phones tv ect this is for you .
No tv. The first chalet I stayed at had a problem with the shower 🚿 the mixer was not working and it was a bit old. Was moved only on the second day after 4pm. No wifi or network signal so hard for communication.

The weekend away at Valley Lakes Lodge was Amazing!
The venue itself was absolutely Wow!
Every room had exactly what was needed to make it cosy and comfortable.
Farouk was always available and willing to help with whatever was needed. His assistance over the weekend was greatly appreciated.
Unfortunately the Dishes in the cupboards were mostly oily, almost like they had all been washed previously in oily pan water, from mugs to glasses to bowls.
We started by rewashing everything in the cupboards.
I would suggest that more pots be added. Bigger pots. It was very difficult cooking for 10 people using such tiny pots.
The downstairs toilet, as you open the tap the water pours out the bottom of the basin.

Good location. Tranquil and peaceful. Friendly staff. The kids enjoyed the short trails around the farm. Nice fireplace outside to sit at night.
The accommodation needs work (cottage #3) . Wifi doesn't work. Carpets and sofas need a deep cleaning. The beds are old and broken. Beds upstairs have no headboards. I did not sleep well at all. No electric blankets. The extra blankets look like old storm blankets. The rooms downstairs are tiny. Dishes are old and chipped. It's pointless having a great location but the accommodation lacks comfort and cleanliness. Booking. Com rates this place exceptional, how? It's time to use another app.
