About this condo rental
Nestled in Princeville, this attractive condo for $150 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. This is a lovely, sweet, affordable and clean little unit. It is one of the very few 'free-standing/stand-alone' units within the Paniolo Complex. It is one of the much quieter units within Paniolo as it sits on the side that fronts the Prince Golf Course- not the street. And we are only one level so you don't have anyone on top of the studio making noise. The unit has a lanai overlooking the golf course, a CalKing bed, a full bathroom as well as a kitchenette with an apartment sized refrigerator. Also, there is a wonderful breeze coming off of Anini beach that flows through the unit on most days. There is also a wonderful, clean, warm pool and BBQ in the pool area. Keywords: Condominium

I really enjoyed staying here! The artwork and lanai garden are lovely. The arrangements are a little unorthodox, but once you get oriented you have everything you need. Joy, the next door neighbor, was REALLY a joy! She was always available for questions and helped me get the cable TV working.

I landed in Kauai without accommodations and Valerie was very responsive. She managed to have the place ready for me within a few hours of my booking. It had everything I needed to prepare my own meals, hit the beach, go snorkeling and get a good nights rest. Walking distance to Princeville shops/restaurants as well as Anini beach and Queens Bath. Highly recommended.

We arrived late aft. Sunday & left early morning the following Sunday. We were greeted by Joy our neighbor & she made both of us feel quite welcome & was a treasure trove of useful information. The unit was extremely comfortable & had everything we needed to feel at home. The roosters were quite annoying but they were everywhere we went. Excellent 38th Anniversary vacation.

We had everything we needed in this sweet studio duplex. Our host was very responsive and the neighbor Joy was very friendly and helpful whenever we had any questions.
The place itself was sufficient for cooking simple meals. The bed is comfortable and the fan was quite useful for sleeping. The location is excellent. Unfortunately we didn't have much of a view because they're doing construction on the golf course and they've put a green wall/tarp up, but it's still surrounded by beautiful plants and the area is very nice.
We were very pleased with our stay and would definitely come back again!

The place did the trick for what we needed. It is pretty small but that showed on the pictures so we knew what to expect. It is well furnished and we appreciated the hot plate to cook as well as the snorkeling equipment. Location is very good, walkable distance to a close beach, easy parking in front of the unit. I agree with the fact that it could use a little update/refresh, and cleanliness could be better (especially if you look behind furnitures). Overall a cheaper option that did the trick for us since we were not spending the day in the unit anyway.

Prefect place to stay for two. Our neighbors Joy and Les were awesome people. Neighborhood was beautiful and felt really safe and quiet, everyone was really friendly. Tons of beaches to play at and beautiful scenery everywhere. Heated pool good for nighttime swimming. Comfortably close to grocery stores, restaurants and shops. My favorite thing about the rental was the amazing view of the mountains right down the road at the local Princeville park. Loved the people I met and the things I saw!

Everything was great, the small unit was plenty for myself and my husband, we didn't use everything provided but we appreciated that there were beach chairs, coolers, etc. for guests. The small fridge was great for leftovers and cold drinks, bed was comfy, shower pressure was really nice. No complaints, we will definitely be back! Mahalo :)

We were met by Joy. A very fun loving ex History Teacher. She let us in and told us about everything we needed to know. Place is very small but we new we would only need a place to lay our heads down so it was perfect. There is a nice trail behind the property that leads to a semi private beach. Enjoyed snorkeling, floating and resting on the beach. Very close to everything you would need. We had a great time.

I thought we were renting the cottage in the picture, but it turned out to be an attached studio on the left side of the photo. Anyway, it was comfortable and clean in a nicely landscaped development. Nice pool and BBQ area. Back deck perfect for morning coffee with bird song. Kitchenette worked fine for preparing all our own meals. The cottage full time resident was friendly and helpful. It rained most days we were there which made it a bit dark inside the studio. An additional central light source in the kitchen would have been wonderful. Had to use iPhone flashlight to read microwave and toaster oven control buttons. (My old eyes are likely to blame). It didn't really take away from our enjoyment of a very relaxing week. Would stay again in a heart beat.

Nice place to stay if budget minded. Place was nice, clean, and tidy. There is no AC just windows and fans. Place stays cool if you keep windows and sliding door open. Things to be aware of….It right next to the golf course which is under construction right now so a bit noisy around 7am until 5pm. Also a lot of feral cats that live around property. I like cats but I am allergic to them. I couldn’t leave my shoes outside as well since they were spraying them. Lol. Overall - a good place to stay if you are out and about all day;)

Easy check in process. Unit clean and good location. However the lanai view is a green tarp and no view of golf course and every morning there were cats sleeping on the two lounge chairs. Unit is “dated” and needs a refresh. We would stay in Panilo Estates again because of location but in an upgraded unit.

Wonderful little property close walk to the beach. Perfect for Northshore and Kapaa activities. Recommend coffee on the deck to watch the amazing sunrises and hear the chorus of the birds. Clean and cool pool. Overall a good bang for your buck.

Lovely comfortable cottage. I love that supplies are left and we had coffee, paper products, mayo, mustard, oil, spices, etc. on hand. It was fun to add to the stash for the next customer. Pool was lovely and grill easy to use. Toaster oven, microwave, hot plate made it possible to cook meals. Closet had snorkel gear, boogie boards, beach chains for beach outings. So easy to go north or south from this area. And grocery store was a quick walk. Joy, next door is happy to guide you to restaurants, places to visit etc. If you are feeling adventurous follow the path behind the cottage all the way to the beach. Only down side was lack of laundry facilities and no close laundromat.

Upon check in neighbor Joy greeted us. She is super friendly and helped us orient to the area. Lodging exceeded our expectations providing us with a wonderful breeze, trees and symphony of bird songs. The Kitchen is so nice we prepared a number of our meals, I loved that it had a bathtub, bed was comfortable. Val responded quickly when we had trouble logging into the internet. The login info was outdated on VRBO.

We had a lovely time! Really enjoyed having the mini kitchen, cooler, and snorkels available to use! Be prepared for early chicken wake-ups. Very close to hanalei which has everything you need. Never want to leave!

Close to beaches, grocery store, and I like the pool and lanai. Cute decor touches like painted tiles and books. You don’t need to bring an alarm clock as the roosters will take care of that, haha.

We had a great time here, the gracious host provided lots of special touches to make the visit comfortable. There were beach items, lots of books, games, extra food and sundries, everything we needed and more. The studio has a hot plate, microwave and toaster oven, so we were able to save some money by cooking any of our own meals. The local bird life provided a wonderful soundtrack to our stay and we enjoyed the various animals that happened by. Highly recommended.

Nice studio that has everything you need! Large fridge for food and toaster oven to heat up leftovers. We were able to add a last minute night on to our stay with no issues. Easy to stay in touch with the property manager. Bonus feature is the cat Zinc who lives in the area. Give Zinc some love!

Cute place
This house was perfect for us! It had exactly what we needed while having that small out of the way feel. It was super quiet and the island air flows through the house from the trail to the beach just off the back porch. This made air conditioning so unecessary. The chickens were cool and the place was juat great! It feels like your home away from home.

Wonderful room with artistic touches
This unit was amazing- better than it looked in the photos! The kitchenette was great! We made a stir fry vegetable dish on the hot plate and cooked a frozen pizza in the toaster oven so a lot is possible! Kitchen was stocked up with lots of supplies like spices, oils soy sauce, etc. Joy next door had many helpful hints for places to go. I even came to enjoy the rooster wake-up crows outside the window (which is EVERYWHERE in Kauai!). The only thing I did not like was Princeville- which is no fault of this unit. It is very safe, but a mostly white and golf-centered kind of community. You can escape by hiking down the numerous steep trails down to beaches where the environment is more natural. Overall, we had a good 8-night stay here to explore the island before our backpacking trip on the Kalalau trail. Unfortunately, I feel a car is needed if you stay in Princeville and want to explore. Ubers are super hard to find, and if you do, very expensive.

Pros - great location for exploring the north shore of Kauai, Val is a very responsive communicator and the sound of the birds in the morning is fab! The studio itself has lots of windows and stayed cool for our trip.
Cons - the windows have extremely thin netting so you have zero privacy. It's not a heavily trafficked route that the room backs onto, but it still isn't ideal.
The accommodation overall has many homely touches and its obvious it is a loved holiday home, it does look quite tired though and is very much a no frills stay. If that's what you're looking for, this is perfect!
