Beautiful space and made to feel like a queen

The hotel is beautifully furnished, with comfort and luxury being the focus. Loved the fireplaces in all the lounges and even the outdoor boma. Compliments to all the staff who conducted themselves in a professional manner.

Unfortunately, with power outages, certain appliances in our room would not work. The hotel did their best by bringing in a gas heater. However, possibly a generator should be considered.

Such an amazing stay!

What an amazing place! Everyone was so helpful and friendly and the food was always delicious. The view from our room was gorgeous, we could see the penguins playing in the water.

the location is superior for penguin viewing. We had the chef prepare dinner for us upon our arrival, it was top notch. Love the staff, so friendly and helpful.

Hands down one of the best experiences we had in Cape Town

The team were all amazing hosts and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They accommodated an early check in for us and gave us a thorough orientation when we arrived. Beautiful large bedrooms, each one unique and also awesome breakfast views upstairs looking out at the penguins. The decor of the entire place is very tasteful and fits perfectly for a beachside getaway.

Awesome stay, warm, friendly environment with beautiful views.

Very homely and comfortable Beautiful location and views Lovely food and service on site Comfortable rooms with everything you need Lovely lounge areas to relax and and enjoy the view Lovely splash pool on a deck with views over the ocean Loved visiting the penguins at boulders right in front of the hotel.

Wonderful stay!

The hosts were extremely caring and flexible. Beautifully dressed and happy faces. Our room was very well positioned and shaped and perfect size. The direct access to Boulders boardwalk is just great, we could see the penguins at night where they sleep.

The food. Its not gourmet like at Tintswalo Atlantic. We were hoping for that kind of food.

Perfect for the penguins!

Unbeatable location to visit the penguins, boardwalk, and have a gorgeous view of the water.

A bit kitschy and dated/too traditional for our tastes. Found food options in Kalk Bay to be more diverse and appealing.

Luxury accommodation and service on a beautiful site

This was more luxury than we were used to. The property, room and particularly the bathroom were spectacular, I think we were upgraded from what we originally booked. I mean, there was a Butler if you can believe it, and we didn't really know how to take advantage of that and played wide of him. Views are fantastic, and Penguin colony is adjacent and accessible from the property. Breakfast was included but we only had a light breakfast due to time constraints, and that was good. We had dinner at the property (pay extra) which was a set menu, and delicious. Staff were great. I think this Tintswalo group have properties in other placess too, including safari sites, so I'd be more than happy to try one again.

Occasional racket and whiff from Penguins, but not actually a problem. Lots of stairs which didn't worry us, but might worry you, room was one level though.

Peaceful hotel with great privacy and superb staff only let down by quality of dinner

Good was good. Nice view of ocean from dining area.

Dinner was not great both nights. Food was bland and poorly seasoned. Meat quality could be better. Dessert was possibly from a packet not from scratch. Didn’t taste chef quality, more like catering company quality.

Location fantastic, breakfast amazing and a comfortable nights rest in a generous sized room. Facilities are great and we were only staying the night, will definately be back in Summer to enjoy all it has to offer! Kirsty was a fantastic host and helpful from start to finish.

If you want to see Penguins, then this is the house.

Went there for Penguin watching. The house has direct access to Boulder beach, hence to the Penguin colony !!! House, room, food was simply excellent. Host was very helpful with all kinds of questions,

Recommended to have your own/rental car.

Great location, Low attention to detail.

Location is fantastic and the view incredible, friendly staff but in need of further hospitality training. I asked for extra pillows which they provided. Turn down service was good.

Breakfast was mediocre, I requested a smoothie and the response was that they could not make it. I had to ask for cutlery and napkins at breakfast on the first day. The cups used at breakfast were old and scuffed. On arrival the room had only one facecloth and tea bags were not replenished. Underfloor heating throughout the room and bathroom was not functional and we raised this on 2 occasions. One of the windows in our room did not close properly. Room requires some maintenance. We stayed in the Bounty room. Had to have a cold shower on day of departure (NO hot water) Staff were friendly but definitely not well trained and often forgot a simple request at breakfast or request whilst in the room. The staff definitely need further hospitality training. We have been at this establishment twice, once at full price and the second time on the winter special.
