About this cabin rental

Situated in Rocky Mountain National Park, this lovely cabin for $255 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Our log cabin has a great private location nestled in an aspen grove just minutes from Grand Lake. We are just steps away from Columbine Lake, a private 45 acre natural lake just outside Rocky Mountain National Park. This is the perfect getaway for a family vacation, romantic getaway, or reunion with friends. Our location backs up to private wooded land, allowing for lots of privacy and an abundance of wildlife to come near the cabin including Moose, Deer, Fox, and Elk. We are located on a dead end street with neighbors on one side only. Rocky Mountain National Park is 1 mile away and the Village of Grand Lake is just a couple minutes drive. The interior of the cabin offers an open floor plan with vaulted ceilings in the great room. Natural log beams support the loft upstairs and a log railing follows the stairs up and across the loft, giving it that rustic touch. On the main floor is the 2nd bedroom with queen bed, full bath with shower and laundry, fully stocked kitchen, dining area, great room, and a bar area. Upstairs you will find a full bath with shower / tub, large master bedroom with a king sized log bed and twin bunk beds, and the loft with a trundle bed that serves as the third bedroom. The loft offers privacy from the rest of the cabin and opens up to the balcony outside. In the evening, have a fire in the fire pit outside and gaze at the stars up above. Rustic log benches surround the fire pit along with adirondack chairs. Please note, firewood may not be available at the cabin and can be purchased in town. If you are planning to bring your dog, well behaved pets will be considered and a pet fee would be applied to your reservation if approved. Grand Lake is a year round destination. During the summer you can enjoy boating on the 3 lakes (Grand Lake, Shadow Mountain Lake, and Lake Granby), hiking, mountain biking, ATVs, 4th of July fireworks, and the list goes on. During the winter months this area is the snowmobiling capital of Colorado with over 100 miles of groomed trails. Skiing choices are plentiful between Ski Granby Ranch nearby, Winter Park and the legendary champagne powder of Steamboat Springs. Perhaps the greatest year round draw of the area is Rocky Mountain National Park with it amazing scenery and abundance of wildlife.

This place was easily accessible, close to town but far enough away. The cabin was clean and comfortable and the host was very accommodating. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks for everything!

The cabin was situated in a mountain neighborhood, but if felt like we were in the middle of the woods all by ourselves. When we arrived the cabin looked like Christmas as it had recently snowed and when we entered we were greeted with a beautiful open concept cabin which was even decorated for the Holiday. We made a several meals, watched football and played games during our stay and it was so peaceful. We want to visit this cabin again!!!

A perfectly relaxing and cozy cabin in the woods! Our family of 7 plus 2 dogs were very comfortable and well taken care of during our 4 night stay. Our Thanksgiving feast was easily prepared with all of the kitchen necessities available. We enjoyed a short walk to Columbine Lake and a brisk walk around the neighborhood with breathtaking views all around! Conveniently located just a short drive to Grand Lake Village to partake in all that it has to offer was also very nice. Waking up to fresh snow was a treat and added to the enjoyment of a crackling fire. Each room was comfortable and provided exactly what we needed to get some rest for a new day. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us!!

Right outside the park! As we arrived we heard elk bugling. We went early morning and evening to the park to see the wildlife and it couldn’t be more convenient. The home is well stocked with all necessities. We especially enjoyed all the extra kitchen utensils so we could prepare full meals. We also appreciated Scott checking on us during the week. Definitely recommend this cabin to anyone wanting to experience the park on the quiet side!

This cabin provided the perfect place to stay for our visit to the west side of RMNP. Its location was only a mile to the national park entrance and also to the town of Grand Lake. The cabin was very spacious, clean and felt like a true mountain home away from home for our family. We loved the quiet neighborhood and took walks around Columbine Lake and on the other trails close by. Scott was very accommodating and ensured we had everything we needed at check in and during our stay. Overall, it was a perfect visit to Grand Lake. We would highly recommend Scott's property and hope to visit again ourselves!
