About this house rental
Located in Surfside Beach, this lovely house for $238 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Welcome to Sunset Bay! We want our beautiful cozy home to feel welcoming and most importantly feel like a 'home away from home'. We accommodate a family or families of 8 or less. We have a beautiful view of the bay and a 3 minute walk to the clean private beach, vehicle access with in 2 minute drive. We have amazing restaurants, convenience stores, and rental entertainment within a few minutes. Coffee maker for freshly brewed morning coffee. Each room has a TV with DVD, Blue-ray player, DirectTv, and WiFi INTERNET NOW included!!!. Fully furnished with 2 Queen size beds and multiple beds to accommodate everyone comfortably. House includes new washer and dryer and outdoor shower to rinse off sand and salt :) Family pets are welcomed under 40 lbs. Outdoor patio furniture, kid inflatable pool with electric pump, new grill (with propane tank included), and fully enclosed with picket fence for the kids to enjoy! Great fishing on the beach or on the multiple beautiful bays. Sargen (East Matagorda Bay - great fishing)) 30 min away, Galveston also only 30 min away. (reg.# 10042)

We enjoyed our stay but were disappointed with some items that were not available, like towels. Also, some of the furniture chair arm was broken, the door to the bottom sink cabnet was loose, and the dryer didn't work. Some of the pots and pans were unusable.

The house is beautiful and spacious and clean other that some of the dishes.The house is located across from the beach, but you cannot see the beach. The beach is several roads down and about a 10 minute walk. The bay is beside the unit, but is not accessible. The house is beautiful, but the dryer and the dishwasher did not work.

Overall our stay was great! Had everything we needed and the kids loved the house! Plenty of room. Our only complaint was the downstairs bed being fairly uncomfortable. Sunk in on both sides from extensive use, pretty hard, and small for 2 people. Also, the listing portrayed the house as being located on the beach, but it was across the road on the bay side. So if you want a "walk out onto the beach" house; this isn't that. Its a short walk across though. But it was still lovely and we enjoyed our stay so much we booked an extra day.

We love the real beach vibe. Surfside is it. You can drive out on the city beach in a 1/2 mile or the county beach in a mile or you can walk across the road and 300 yards and be on the beach from this house. We prefer the county beach because we drive right up to our spot and just unload everything. We parked our truck under the house inside the gate and let our dog run in the yard. Our daughters had there own room to chill in. We hardly ever seen them unless we were on the beach. House cleaning did a great job just was a little late to get there so we could get in. We didn’t mind getting the towels out of the dryer to get in on time. Everything was there plus water toys, canopy, and plenty of propane for the grill. We always make a HEB run for there pre-made dinners and the fridge worked great. I read a lot of reviews on this place most were good some were complainers, if you want a 5 star somebody to wait on you hotel go somewhere else. This is a family very nice and modern 5 star house that’s been used. That’s not us we loved it. It was great.

We loved staying at the house named Sunset Bay. It was roomy and clean. The access to the beach was just across the way. The fence around the driveway gave us great privacy. The view on the front deck was gorgeous with the morning sunrise. The price was affordable for my family and my brother’s family. I highly recommend this property. Just remember to bring your mosquito repellent!!!!

We had 4 moms and 3 teenage girls staying in the house and the layout of the house made it so fun. The house is super cute and it looked like it was recently updated. The girls were able to all sleep in the bunk bed room together and the location is walkable to the beach. We definitely made some lasting memories that weekend and in the house.

Everything was fantastic, one of the last tenants dump charcoal in the yard. The beach was a very short distance away. The beach is driveable.

It has 3 rooms and my 2 daughters and their families seem to fit in well. 6 adults and 2 kids under the age of 6. Location is also good near the beach. The property itself looks clean in the photos. The rooms look ok too. After spending 3 days and 2 nights there , several areas need attention includes there is no liquid soap refills all through the property. Common supplies like paper towels is completely absent. There are kitchen cloths instead but they look stained. Some of the cooking pans look so old and scratched. Some of the hand and bath towels also look stained even though they have been laundered. Overall, the experience was ok because it is so close to the beach and you can bring small pets. But I wouldn’t fit 6 adults and 2 kids in this property.

There are two restaurants on the beach nearby that have nice patio options and good food. Small grocery store down the highway as well that has most of the basics. We enjoyed our visit and will be back!

Pros: Home was as shown in photos, overall well maintained, 5 minute walk from private beach access, 5 minute drive from public beach access. Nice deck seating
Cons: Didn't receive access information to home on check-in day and had a hard time reaching owner. Almost had to find a hotel nearby which was not ideal at all. No extra blankets or wash cloths. Internet was in/out. Cleanliness of the sofa, bed linens, kitchen utensils

Everything was great ! The location was very close to the beach , the house was very clean and everything the house had was very useful and convenient. Did had a small issue when we just got there we didn’t have the key code and we waited almost an hour to get a response from the host but overall it was a great stay .

I liked where it was located. My family enjoyed it. It was not clean when we got there. Food left in refrigerator and cabinet. Dishes were chipped.
Even with all of that, I decided to put aside and enjoy myself.

This beach house was so lovely. We enjoyed everything but the stairs. We are getting too old for stairs. It was very nice, plenty of towels, lots of beds, kitchen well supplied. The decks were great!
