Nestled in West Pennington, this attractive house for $335 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Welcome to the Happy Trails Lodge! You will enjoy a newer 4 bedroom, 2 bath cabin with views of the hills, pine trees and pasture, centrally located at the Three Forks, intersection of Hwy 385 & Hwy 16. From here, you will have easy access to all the central hills attractions, including Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park, Sheridan Lake, Pactola Reservoir, Hill City, Keystone and the Black Hills National Forest. With such easy access to everything, you will be able to relax more, drive less, and enjoy the beautiful views right from the deck. The home features modern interior finishes, custom woodwork, creative lighting accents, 3 queen beds and one King size. There is also a queen size sleeper sofa, and a twin sleeper sofa in the living room for your extra guests. Each bedroom is equipped with a TV, bedside lamps, an overhead fan, a large closet with hangers and shelves, extra air mattresses and bedding. The house is stocked with towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap, hair dryer, toilet paper, paper towels, 12 cup coffee maker, dishes, dish soap, utensils, crock pot, iron, bed sheets, pillows, extra blankets, quilts and pillows for extra beds, also a propane gas grill and outdoor furniture. I stayed at this property with my family. It was meticulously clean and had a great open layout. Checking into the property was easy. The kitchen is huge and there was plenty of dishwear and cookware. The only thing I’d be wary of is it was a great place for a family but sounds carry since the bedrooms are off the living area. If you go with your friends and they stay up late being loud you will hear it clearly.

The house was as nice as it looked in the pictures. Great location near gas station, trails and food. Only 4 miles to Hill City where we had dinner and drinks several times. The house was very well stocked. There was even shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the showers! I would definitely recommend this house.

The house was exactly what we needed for a trip for a family wedding. We loved the four bedroom setup and big kitchen / dining area. Bonus that it was walking distance to the wedding venue, and also other cabins/campsites where we had family and friends staying. Beautiful views too!

The house was centrally located near all the area attractions wit a great view. We came to this area to ride UTVs in the Black Hills and trails were nearby. Very spacious parking area to accommodate our trucks ,trailers and ITVs The house was well stocked and easily accommodated 8 adults. Check in was simple and owner was easy to contact. We did experience some maintenance concerns. A/C quit working and smoke detector were beeping. They were quick fixes

The house was extremely clean. Everything we needed for the stay was furnished. We requested an early check-in, which was granted. I had a couple of questions during our stay and they were answered promptly. The house was very close to tourist attractions so it was a very short drive to get to places we wanted to see. Our cost was less than it would have been for a hotel room and the family was able to stay in one place, allowing us to enjoy more time together. I strongly recommend this property and this host.

We stayed at this property for a few days to celebrate my husband’s birthday with friends. The house had everything we needed. The check in and out process was super easy. The only issue we had were kids and adults walking through the backyard and front yard to get to another property. Looked like a big family had rented the two houses around us. Other than that, it was great!

We stayed for a family vacation with 6 adults and a 1 yr. old. The house is very well decorated and had absolutely everything we needed. The location is centrally located in the Hills and was relatively close to all the sights we wanted to see. We especially enjoyed being so close to Hill City and all it has to offer.

We have visited the Black Hills twice a year for many years & have stayed multiple places, hotels, cabins, & other vacation rentals. Happy Trails checks all our boxes & we will definitely return! Wonderful location, beautiful cabin & amenities! We had everything we needed & more! Our only hiccup was with connecting to Wi-Fi & that was quickly remedied with a call to Yvonne! Highly recommend Happy Trails!
