About this condo rental
Come enjoy beautiful Gentle Winds Condos in St. Croix USVI and stay in our lovely 2bd/2bth ground floor air conditioned condo located just thirty steps from the beach and ocean, the closest building in the complex. Our west facing location provides for spectacular sunsets from the comfort of the screened lanai, where most times you'll hear only the soothing sound of the Caribbean Sea. Your comfort is ensured with two bedrooms fitted with memory foam bedding, one king and one queen, each with it's own full bath; additionally, a queen sofa bed was is in the living room. The kitchen is fully equipped for those times you choose not to enjoy one of the many nearby restaurants. To keep you connected and entertained Wi-Fi, DirecTV, a dvd selection, and a selection of games. The Gentle Winds property itself is a relaxing uncrowded and spectacular North Shore location comprised of 60 or so condos in 9 buildings located on approximately 60 oceanfront acres. Some of the facilities available include the beach, the chlorine free fresh water pool, two tennis courts, a half basketball court, a kids' play area, shuffleboard, ping-pong, another small play area by the beach and pool, you can practice your golf game on the open fields, and many walk or jog along the long entrance road and open space. There is also a community "Great Room" adjacent to the pool for reading, relaxing, games and BBQ's are available for evening dining on the patio overlooking the beach and ocean. The "Beach Shack" provides delicious food and beverages while you relax by the pool or on the beach and is a gathering spot for all. The swimming fronting the beach is protected by a reef and is good for snorkeling. St Croix itself offers many activities for young and old alike, as well as dining and entertainment. Salt River Bay (Columbus landed here)and Marina are next door where kayaking is popular, especially the evening trips to the bio- luminescent bay, one of only a few in this part of the world. Nearby also on the North Shore is Cane Bay, a beautiful spot with excellent snorkeling and scuba diving (dive shop located here)as well as some good oceanfront dining spots for all. Further afield are 3 golf courses, jeep tours, atv tours, sailing/boating, fishing, a botanical garden, Whim Great House Museum, rum factory tours, a casino and even a beer drinking pig are among the many things to do and see. A sailing trip to Buck Island National Park is a must do for its idyllic beach and good snorkeling. Just relaxing at the Gentle Winds beach and pool is also a favorite thing to do. Everything was perfect. The location is awesome, the view, the proximity with the beach, very calm, beach not crowded, snorkeling possible .., the house has everything needed to enjoy the stay with plenty of towels and so on.

Perfect stay at Gentle Winds. Condo was as advertised. Well equipped and clean. Very comfortable beds. We will absolutely check to see if this unit is available the next time we come to the island.

Our family found this to be the perfect location for exploring the island. However, the Gentle Winds property, with the beautiful views, beach, beach bar, and pool, make relaxing at the condo also very enjoyable.
We found the condo to be clean and stocked with many useful items, such as two beach chairs, coolers, ice packs, plenty of beach towels, and a pack-n-play for our young child. The host was also gracious enough to adjust the check-in and check-out times based on our flights, which was sincerely appreciated. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Loved the condo, it is a bit dated but who cares-you're on an island. The only cons I can even come up with is the check-in--the directions to the condo are great but the condo number should be I-6 it looks like a 16 and that is somewhat confusing when you Get there late. The only other thing is I wish it had black out curtains in each room. You're on vacation and might like to sleep in, plus the condo gets really warm in the summer evenings and these curtains would help with that as well.
Lots of supplies and great beach towels. Condo was very comfortable and lots of room for 4 adults. We would definitely stay here again. Pool and beach at the condo are amazing but the water isn't the best for playing in because of its size and rocks/coral.
Make sure you go to Cane beach right up the road and Flyers restaurant in Fredrickstead.

We had a lovely time staying at this property. Everything you need is included to cook, clean, do laundry, etc. Gentle Winds on the whole was a calm place to enjoy our stay. We especially loved the seaside bedroom, listening to the waves at night was sublime!

Thanks for sharing your Gentle Winds condo with us during our visit to St Croix. The unit was very clean and met all our needs. The condo is centrally located allowing easy trips east to Christiansted and west to Frederiksted. Gentle Winds is a very nice, quiet complex with a great pool and beach. This unit is located very close to the beach and has great views of the water and pool area. We would definitely rent again on our next trip to St Croix.

This condo is beautiful and very close to the beach and pool. There is an exit through the bedroom to the lawn which leads to the beach and pool. The condo is very comfortable for 2 couples; each having their own bedroom and bathroom. Gentle Winds is one of the best places to stay in St Croix. The Beach Shack is a major plus where drinks and food can be purchased! The beach is one of the best in St Croix. We spent a lot of time in the water! I highly recommend this condo!

This is not the most “updated” condo, but it’s clean, has great amenities, and is in the PERFECT location. We absolutely loved our time here. The host was communicative and accommodating. We’d stay here again!

Gentle Winds property is really awesome. The villa was exactly as advertised. Clean and fully stocked with all conveniences expected for a wonderful vacation. Owner was responsive to questions via email in a timely manner. The ocean was no further than 20 yards from the villa’s back door. We will hopefully get back to St. Croix and this villa in the future.

Our family of 5 stayed at Gentle Winds for a week in April. The condo was very clean and all essentials needed were in place. This location was very centrally placed among several attractions, 15 min to town, 15 to 20 from airport, 15 to 20 min to Cane Bay and Carambola Beach. The grounds were clean, excellent pool for the kids. Tiki bar is open noon to 5 daily, good drinks, pretty good food as well. We experienced no safety concerns during our stay. Condo is very close to the ocean, can hear the waves inside. The screened in porch offered wonderful views and a hammock is just outside your door! The beach at the property was small but adequate for cooling off and playing in the sand. There were plenty of beach chairs with shade available. The owner was very easy to communicate with and very friendly. Staff at the facility were very helpful. I really feel this little gem was a piece of paradise for all family to enjoy. It was easy to relax and take in the views and sound of the water around us. I would definitely stay here again!

This unit is the best in a community that is the best on the island. The condo is well-maintained, clean and perfectly located in the complex. The complex itself as well laid out and of a reasonable size. The beach and the pool and the clubhouse are, really terrific! You will not be unhappy to stay here!

We loved our stay at Gentle WInds. Wonderful complex. Condo was in the closest building to the Sea and the views were amazing. We enjoyed the private beach club and the pool. If we go back to St. Croix we will definitely stay here again!

Gentle Winds location and amenities made our trip very relaxing and enjoyable. The pool, commons area, beach and proper in general were very clean and well kept. The Shack open from Noon till 5 every day had great food and drinks. Nick, Vicki and the rest of the staff were great!!!

This is the first condo we have stayed at that didn’t have dust bunnies under the beds. This was the most clean condo we have stayed at over our 8 years of visiting. There are a few updates needed such as cabinets and a new bath tub but it was clean. We love staying at Gentle Winds condo due to location, pool, snack shack and beach.

The condo is a short drive from the airport and conveniently located in between both sides of the island. The grounds and facilities were a big bonus. We enjoyed the views, beach, pool, & sunny shack bar/grill located on the grounds. Highly recommend and would certainly return.

We had a wonderful stay at this great place at Gentle Winds. Rob is an excellent host. The condo is lovely, clean and nicely stocked with dishes, pots and towels. The pool, poolside restaurant and bar are perfect. Internet, wifi and smart TV worked great. We spent hours on the porch watching and listening to the waves, both during the day and in the Moonlight.
Very close to good diving, snorkeling and beachside dining at Cane Bay, about 15 minutes from Christiansted.
Remember to take screenshot of, or write down the unit number and lock box code since there is no cell reception at the complex. The kind lady at the guard shack helped us out,, since we didn't plan well.

My wife and I as well as our two daughters (8 and 10) had an unbelievable first visit to St. Croix while staying at Rob’s condo at Gentle Winds. We can’t say enough about the property as well as the location of both the condo complex on the island and the condo unit itself. The unit is literally steps from the ocean and one of the closest to the sea. The unit was incredibly clean upon arrival as the housekeeper clearly does an excellent job with the property. The condo had all of the essentials we needed for our 10-day stay. Rob was very good with communication and took care of a few minor issues very quickly and generously while we were there. A nice additional amenity is the beach and pool shack serving drinks and great food from 12pm-5pm each day. Many of the condo owners were on site during our stay and they were all so welcoming and pleasant the entire time. We will for sure be back to St. Croix and will absolutely consider renting this unit again!

The location of our unit at Gentle Winds was convenient to most things we did during our stay on St. Croix. The best part about it is we were steps away from the north shore beach. We would walk out the back door, stretch out on a lounge chair under swaying palm trees, open a Carib beer, and soon forget what time it was.

The condo is equipped with pretty much everything you need. The location is so convenient, minutes to the airport, easy ride to Christiansted and Frederiksted. The unit was very clean. We loved falling asleep to the sound of the ocean. Beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed coffee every morning out on the patio. You’re just steps away from the ocean. Good communication with the owner. Loved having drinks and snacks at the Sunny Shack. The guys at the shack were so friendly and offered lots of suggestions about the island. The grounds were well kept. I would highly recommend staying here.
My only suggestions to the owners would be adding umbrellas and a couple of portable beach chairs for use.

We stayed 4 days 3 nights not nearly enough time. Beautiful condo and property the beach is beautiful, bar and food were great. And if you bring your own snorkeling gear you can snorkel and see so much sea life right off the beachypu have to get alittle ways out there ( tons of different fish, turtles, and a barracuda) We had an issue with the ac messaged the owner and he had someone come and get us cooling again. Highly recommended we will definitely be back but for a longer stay next time

We loved our weeklong stay at this Gentle Winds condo. The privacy at this location is glorious - there are no other properties in view and this particular condo unit is literally the closest to the perfect little beach out front. Being able to walk out the door barefoot across a small grassy area right onto the beach was sublime. Loved that there were plenty of beach towels there available for use, as well as a washer & dryer to use as needed. And since we went during hurricane season (purchased travel insurance just in case), the property was only at 30% capacity so it was incredibly quiet. The condo had everything we needed and it was such a comfortable stay. I appreciated the screened in lanai since the mosquitos can be bad at times. It’s not fancy but we’re not fancy so it was a perfect fit. Absolutely hope to stay here again as we love the quiet & diving at St. Croix. Highly recommend this gem to all.

Our unit was exceptionally clean, AC worked like a charm (gets hot on the island), perfect location. Very short walk to the beach and a beautiful view from the porch/living room. Would recommend this unit to anyone visiting. Sister lives on the island and we have stayed several places but this Gentle Winds unit has been the best so far.

My family visited St. Croix for a family vacation and this property was awesome! You will want a rental car to go out to the town but everything is a short drive. The back yard is like your own private beach. The condo was very clean and the owner was good with communication.

Located at Gentle Winds on the north side of the island next to Salt River National Park. About a 15-minute drive to the center of Christiansted. We didn't venture into the sea here as the bottom was mostly rocky but we loved waking up next to the ocean every day and enjoying the wonderful sights and sounds the ocean provides. The condo is very clean and well maintained. Hard to find fault. You'll need to rent a car to get into town and around the island. If you're looking for a quiet restful place to relax and unwind you've found it here.

My husband, sister-in-law and I stayed here last week and we never wanted to leave! Perfect location on the North shore to great restaurants, especially Ama, Christiansted and Cane Bay (definitely rent a jeep). We could walk right out our door and sit on this amazing tree bench and have morning coffee on the beach. It really is the best condo location for the beach and snack bar. The salt water pool was perfect for a night swim as well. Snorkeling off the beach was amazing too! Lots of great sea life to see on the reef so if you can’t get to Buck Island, which is amazing, you can get a taste of it here waist deep out! The condo was immaculate and the beds were comfy! Even Ziggy the property cat thought so. We are definitely returning to St Croix and will book this condo again. Located at Gentle Winds on the north side of the island next to Salt River National Park. About a 15-minute drive to the center of Christiansted. The resort is not full of tourists or busy. Secluded location nice private beach and cabanas. Friendly guests! Perfect condo that met our family's needs.
