User error But we can’t seem to fathom the ovens in the aga Unless you are a seasoned aga user would recommend you take food for re heating not cooking from scratch we took a partially a cooked casserole and wanted to cook some sliced potatoes but after 1 hour in the top oven they were still raw probably user error again

Even though the house was lovely and walking distance to Keswick. It was booked for Christmas and the owners made no effort to make their property Christmases they have a beautiful fireplace and could have shown it off . We ended up buying a few decorations as my children were disappointed. Never having used an aga before not a lot if I formation so googled eventually we are Christmas dinner !! But quite late. Recycling bin was full so we ended up bringing our recycling bits home to our own bin. As I said we did have a nice stay but wouldn't come back to that property.

Good little house.
Good little house.
Good little house. Great off road parking. Enclosed garden for us was great as we have dogs, probably could do more with the garden to make it nicer to sit out but suits the purpose. Aga different to cook on, but nice. Great location for walks and into Keswick. Bedrooms nice. Ensuite has a shower but the main bathroom only has a bath. Living room and kitchen comfortable. Will be returning.

Fairfield is a lovely house in a great location for access to the town, there is off road parking for 3 cars and a secure garden for dogs. In that respect this is the perfect holiday cottage for us. However, I have had to say that although this is the second time we have stayed here I won't stay again if it is for more than 2 people. Firstly, one shower is not adequate if you have more than 2 people staying and both times we have we have run out of hot water after very little use. It's such a shame as with those things addressed we wouldn't hesitate to return.

One of the best holiday accommodations we have ever stayed in. Very comfortable and well equipped. Lovely welcome gift on our arrival. Plenty of space for us all - 4 adults, 2 labradors and 2 beagles. We usually stay in more isolated places but finding something to suit everyone this seemed a better option. There was a little noise with people walking past house to take children to and from school but nothing that bothered us. Lovely to be able to walk into Keswick in evening to enjoy a meal and drink. Only downside was organising showers as we all preferred shower to bath - for a house that accommodates 6 adults another shower would be advantageous. To sum up - we have had an amazing time and have re-booked for next year - you can't get a better recommendation than that.

Had a lovely 4 day break at Fairfield. Enjoyed using the Arga and thanks for the helpful cooking information leaflet. Bedroom 2 above the kitchen was very warm at night. Ensuite bedroom was perfect for a couple and also a cot for baby . Fairfield kitchen was extremely well equipped. Loved the matching crockery and abundance if usable dishes. Close to local shops and park for exercising dogs. One negative was the wooden floor on staircase which took some getting used to.
