Another lovely stay at Fairfield our 3 rd stay
We managed to get the tv on fine this time. User error
But we can’t seem to fathom the ovens in the aga
Unless you are a seasoned aga user would recommend you take food for re heating not cooking from scratch we took a partially a cooked casserole and wanted to cook some sliced potatoes but after 1 hour in the top oven they were still raw probably user error again

Even though the house was lovely and walking distance to Keswick. It was booked for Christmas and the owners made no effort to make their property Christmases they have a beautiful fireplace and could have shown it off . We ended up buying a few decorations as my children were disappointed. Never having used an aga before not a lot if I formation so googled eventually we are Christmas dinner !! But quite late. Recycling bin was full so we ended up bringing our recycling bits home to our own bin. As I said we did have a nice stay but wouldn't come back to that property.

Good little house.
Good little house. Great off road parking. Enclosed garden for us was great as we have dogs, probably could do more with the garden to make it nicer to sit out but suits the purpose. Aga different to cook on, but nice. Great location for walks and into Keswick. Bedrooms nice. Ensuite has a shower but the main bathroom only has a bath. Living room and kitchen comfortable. Will be returning.

Fairfield is a lovely house in a great location for access to the town, there is off road parking for 3 cars and a secure garden for dogs. In that respect this is the perfect holiday cottage for us. However, I have had to say that although this is the second time we have stayed here I won't stay again if it is for more than 2 people. Firstly, one shower is not adequate if you have more than 2 people staying and both times we have we have run out of hot water after very little use. It's such a shame as with those things addressed we wouldn't hesitate to return.

One of the best holiday accommodations we have ever stayed in.
One of the best holiday accommodations we have ever stayed in. Very comfortable and well equipped. Lovely welcome gift on our arrival. Plenty of space for us all - 4 adults, 2 labradors and 2 beagles. We usually stay in more isolated places but finding something to suit everyone this seemed a better option. There was a little noise with people walking past house to take children to and from school but nothing that bothered us. Lovely to be able to walk into Keswick in evening to enjoy a meal and drink. Only downside was organising showers as we all preferred shower to bath - for a house that accommodates 6 adults another shower would be advantageous. To sum up - we have had an amazing time and have re-booked for next year - you can't get a better recommendation than that.

Had a lovely 4 day break at Fairfield.
Had a lovely 4 day break at Fairfield. Enjoyed using the Arga and thanks for the helpful cooking information leaflet. Bedroom 2 above the kitchen was very warm at night. Ensuite bedroom was perfect for a couple and also a cot for baby . Fairfield kitchen was extremely well equipped. Loved the matching crockery and abundance if usable dishes.
Close to local shops and park for exercising dogs. One negative was the wooden floor on staircase which took some getting used to.

Lovely house in a great location we will defiantly return as we love Keswick.
Lovely house in a great location we will defiantly return as we love Keswick. There were couple of things that could be improved which would make this cottage outstanding....A second shower is required when there are more people staying, I booked this cottage for myself & husband but we were joined by family at the weekend. The back garden is rather depressing and we did not use it at all even though the weather was beautiful, with some cutting back and clearing this would make the garden more appealing.

Fairfield is a lovely house with a spacious and well equiped kitchen and comfortable lounge. Ample off street parking which is great for Keswick ! The added bonus is a genuinely secure garden for dogs, there is no where that dogs will escape as long as the gate is closed. There was a little noise in the evenings with people passing but that is to be expected in a built up area close to the town centre and unfortuately there was building work being carried out in the adjoining house causing a lot of noise and dust. As mentioned in other reviews a second shower really is essential, we had booked the house for this stay which apart from 2 nights was for 2 of us only and for a weekend in September. The weekend in September is for 6 adults and I am a little concerned about how that will work. Maybe a shower attachment on the bath would help in the interim ?
Overall though I would recommend the house, it's one of the best presented holiday homes we've stayed in.

Very clean inside all equipment provided, very warm as Arga cooker on constantly sometimes too warm, outside areas could have been tidied up and cleaned a little better . A secondary shower would have be a bonus as only one available and a bath in the bathroom which was large and could have easily had a overhead shower or even a separate shower cubicle. However on the whole a very enjoyable stay

Lovely cottage very clean and spacious. Every thing had been thought out very well with all the home from home comforts. The only thing that lets it down is the one shower in the en-suite. Made things difficult to all get ready for the day. In saying that we would definitely return.

We loved Fairfield.
We loved Fairfield.
It was very warm and cozy when we visited in mid January which made it a very pleasant stay.
The location and parking was excellent for a stay in Keswick.
Fairfield was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay, apart from a second shower in bathroom which is needed, as 6 adults getting ready for night out at same time it would be useful.
Garden was great as we had two small dogs with us and it felt safe to let them into the garden without them getting out.
We would definitely stay at Fairfield again.
