About this house rental
Situated in Keswick, this lovely house for $250 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Abernethy is a beautifully restored Victorian town house, sleeping up to 12, right in the heart of the famous Lake District town of Keswick. The traditional slate built town house is restored to a high specification with natural wooden floors, an open fire, retained period features, central heating throughout, instant hot water, Wifi, TV, DVD, fabulous dining table for group meals, spacious lounge with mountain views and a well equipped kitchen. With a lockable outhouse, utility and warm under-stair cupboard there is ample space for storing kit whether it be muddy boots, bikes, waterproofs, ropes, umbrellas or canoes. The house is a 5 minute flat, walk from the town centre with its shops, bars, restaurants and all Keswick attractions making this a superb venue for a family or friends holiday or a group/business activity challenge. Abernethy can usually be booked for weekends, flexible mid-week or full weeks. The house is in a perfect, central location in a quiet residential area. We do ask guests to be respectful to our neighbours and ensure noise is reduced to a sociable non-disruptive level by late evening. There are plenty of places in Keswick where a fun party spirit can be enjoyed until the early hours. Parking is free and unrestricted on the street and on neighbouring lanes and streets. Keswick is a quaint market town with a plethora of independent shops, bars, restaurants, galleries and traditional Lakeland pubs. These fine facilities matched with a multitude of Outdoor Pursuits accessible on foot from the town, make Keswick a superb base from which to explore, adventure or simply observe and relax. There really is something for all generations with a well established theatre, indoor pool with flumes, cinema, climbing walls, 1000metre plus fells, lake, water-sports and biking trails all within 5 mins from the town centre. The Lake District National Park is a beautiful area in Northwest England. Covering over 800 square miles. It is the largest National Park in England. The beauty and grandeur of the scenery is a key reason for making the area a National Park. The National Park has magnificent countryside, mountains and lakes. The Lake District is a great venue for walking, cycling, mountaineering, watersports or pottering around the charming market towns and villages.

A very well appointed townhouse in Keswick that is perfect for groups. Crucially it has not just the beds, but also the living and kitchen space to properly accommodate 10 or 11 people. All the local amenities of Keswick are close by as are the Fells. We had a great time and will come again. The owners were friendly and helpful.

Lovely house with great views especially from first floor lounge. Comfortable and spacious. Fully equipped. Excellently located for Keswick centre. We stayed over the Bank Holiday so parking busy but all 3 cars found a spaces when they needed one over the weekend.

Perfect location- near town, shops, lake, walks. - no need to use the car once there. House has 3 bathrooms- very necessary! Spacious accommodation very well equipped. Warm, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The back yard is a sun trap for morning coffee.

The house is perfect for a sociable group, everything you could possibly need is there and having 3 showers and toilets was great meaning we could get up and out quickly.

Great location and once parked,it is easy to walk to local attractions and town. 12 of us and a small well behaved dog fitted in very well. We went there for multiple family celebrations ☺️ and had a good time. Keswick is lovely and has many things to do and the weather was very good for the whole week

Everything was fantastic, large well equipped kitchen, huge dining table, all beds comfortable, we loved the lounge as the views of Skiddaw were incredible. Great to have 3 bathrooms no one had to wait and always a toilet free!! Great location to explore Keswick town and surrounding area

We had a great short stay in Keswick. The property is well equipped and perfectly located. It is a few minutes' walk to the town centre and many great walks within a 20 minute drive. I would definitely return.

Great house, ideal location
Stayed here with our two kids, grandparents and dog. The kitchen is very well equipped and the large range cooker is excellent. The living room is spacious but still cosy. The bedrooms are also perfectly adequate. Parking needs a bit of luck but wasn’t a major issue. The location is excellent for walking into town. We would stay here again.

Fantastic property close to local amenities
We had a fantastic week at Abernethy.
The house is very clean and spacious 12 of us stayed 6 adults 6 children and we didn't feel cramped at all. The kitchen is really well equipped manged a Sunday roast for 12 no problem.
It's as close to the town centre as you can get with a 2 minute walk to shops and the lake.
We will absolutely book the house again perfect base for a wonderful week in the lakes.
Homeowner is lovely and responded to messages immediately (even though she was on holiday herself) fantastic communication. Thank you 😊
